The sun gloriously beaming in the cloudless sky, kids laughing while playing hide and seek at the playground, and the bright colors of the flowers painted this perfect Friday afternoon. Deciding to lay down on one of the park benches with one arm blocking the blinding sun from your eyes and using the other as a head rest, everything seemed peaceful. And, your hectic day came to a pause.

“SOJUNGIEEE!”

“YO, SO!”

“WHAT UP, JUNG?!”

“PRINCESS!”

“HEY, PRETTY LADY!”

“SOJUNG!”

“AYYY, SO TO THE JUNG!”

You laughed as you ran up to your disgustingly loving best friends, making your day even better.

“You guys are so embarrassing! Why am I even friends with you guys?” You say even though you have no idea what you would do without them.

“Well, let’s see. We know almost everything and anything there is to know about you, we have the power to let everyone know about you and your secrets...” Jinyoung, the smart aleck, lists as he puts his arm around you. You roll your eyes and push him away before he can say anymore.

Jaebum ruffles your hair, Mark pats you on the cheeks, Youngjae shines his smile at you, and Bambam and Yugyeom give you a bear hug once they reach you. Jaebum and Mark head out to the basketball courts for a rematch. While Jinyoung, Youngjae, Bambam, and Yugyeom go near the basketball courts to kick a soccer ball around lazily.

Jackson reaches you last and gives you a hug. You two start to walk around the park while running kids cross in front and behind you.

“How’s Friday treating you so far?” You hear Jackson say as he puts his arm around you.

“Oh my freaking goodness. Don’t even get me started. We had a math test today and guess who wanted to copy off of my test? Yeah, Yedarm. I seriously don't know how she's going to handle everything when we go to college next year. She was literally turning around trying to get answers from my test! Even when I told her to turn back around, she kept turning her head and,” You couldn’t help but rant to your best friend.

Jackson couldn’t help but stare at his best friend with a pleased look on his face. The way you always got worked up about these things, your use of hand motions, facial expressions, and how you just ranted without leaving a single detail out all reminded him of how special you are to him. No wonder you were his best friend. You were almost as extra as he was.
