A Hard DayJackson sat awkwardly on the couch. He didn't know what to do or say in the presence of Mark's mother and brother. Joey, the youngest of the family sat next to Jackson. He looked up at the older. Joey wondered how Jackson got stuck with Mark. He remembered Mark's last relationship. He had taken a liking to Youngjae, but didn't know why the two had lasted as long as they did. Maark had a bad habit of being silent and rude. It was something he had picked up from living in their neighborhood. Mark and his mother had left to go get osme food from the market, leaving Joey and Jackson together. "So what exactly do you do?"
"I'm Mark's manager. I just make sure that he's doing his job and make sure he doesn't get caught doing something he shouldn't be doing." Joey laughed.
"That must be hard. Mark is always getting in trouble. I see it all over the internet." Jackson sighed. He knew what that was like. Before he started working for Maark he had read all the rumors and scandals. He had heard it all, but never believed it. He couldn't. And now that he knew what Mark was really like, he knew none of that stuff was true. When Mark was working he was crazy sweet and caring about all the people around him and when he was done he went home and didn't do anything, that was shown by the mess in his home. The tabloids always got the wrong side of people, but Mark didn't have a side like that.
"It's all fake you know. Mark isn't really like that." Joey titled his head to the side in confusion.
"What do you mean by that?" Jackson smiled. He had almost forgotten that Joey hadn't seen Mark for almost a year. Things had changed for Mark since the last time he had been here.
"He has a soft spot for elderly people, he doesn't complain about hard things in life, he saves people from making big mistakes, he cares deeply for the people he loves, he doesn't try to be something he's not." Jackson's list went on for a while. He talked about Mark endlessly without even realizing that Mark and his mother had returned.
"Oh, Mark! He's wonderful!"
