A Hard DayMark put Hyeji down, staring hard at Youngjae. He didn't expect to see the younger in America, let alone in the same airport and with a kid. He gulped, thinking about what to say. He had no words for this encounter. Youngjae had broken off their relationship a week before their eleven month anniversay. He had become an actor in that same month and left Mark in distress. The next year Mark became an artist and never saw Youngjae again. His hand instantly went to the key around his neck. He'd never take the thing off during his time overseas even if it killed him, but he didn't want Youngjae to know that he had never gotten rid of it. Youngjae picked Hyeji up and smiled. Mark didn't even know that Youngjae had a kid, he never mentioned it through interviews and the tabloids never got shots of it. "Hey Mark, it's been a long time. How've you been?" Mark sighed. He knew their meeting would come sooner or later.
"I've been good. I see you're doing fine as well." Mark sounded so formal as if he was meeting his mother-in-law for the first time. It was just Youngjae. The younger nodded with that broad smile of his planted on his face.
"Yeah. I've been working on this new drama here and Hyeji has been keeping me company. But I'm going to have to send her back to my mom soon. Fliming takes up most of my time and I won't be able to look after her. I heard that you have your tour now. I hope it sounds as good as your recordings do." Youngjae had heard his music? He thought the younger had just dropped him without lookign back. That's what it looked like from the kid in his arms.
"Yep. The first concert is tomorrow. I hope I sound fine. I haven't been feeling all the great recently." Mark sighed. Maybe he should just keep moving anf get to baggage claim. He felt so awkward in front of Youngjae. Youngjae smiled at him.
"You'll be fine. Hey, do you think we can meet for some coffee. I would really like to catch up with you." Mark gulped. This is what he feared. He didn't want to talk to Youngjae at all. he didn't want all those feelings he had to come crashing down around him. He didn't want his walls to be teared apart. He had spent so much time buliding them up after Youngjae had left and now they were starting to crumble.
"Yeah, that would be nice." He opened his mouth to add on something more but another voice entered the coversastion.
"Mr. Tuan, we have to keep moving." It was Jackson. Mark looked over at him. Jackson had the face of a stern manager, something Mark had never seen on him before. Mark shook his head. He wasn't going to go anywhere until he got some answers from Youngjae. He thought he could move on, but now it was crushing him again.
"Oh, I'm sorry. Do you have to be somewhere? Um, this is the only time I can meet. It won't take long. I'd really like to talk to you." Jackson sighed, looking at the desperate look on Mark's face. He didn't know who the other guy was but it looked as if Mark knew him rather well.
"Okay we have some time. But make it quick."
