Title: If Only You Hold onto Me

Summary: Because Jonghyun has always suffered from short people problems.

Jonghyun has lived in Seoul all his life, so, naturally, he learned to use the subway at a very young age. And use it, he did. A lot, too. He’s actually kind of an expert on the subject, if he does say so himself.

There is, however, one little disadvantage he suffers from (nothing big, he swears, just one teeny tiny thing).

See, Jonghyun is short. And not your usual oh-I-might-lack-a-few-centimeters short, no, he’s the I’m-more-than-half-a-head-below-average short. So, when all the seats in the cart are taken and every vertical handle is b with hands and there are only the ceiling handles left, Jonghyun’s in quite a predicament because no matter how far he stretches his arm, those handles will always be just out of reach. Be it on the bus, in the train or the subway – it doesn’t matter. And though he pegs himself an expert and though being so short should provide a stable center of gravity, Jonghyun’s control of balance in a moving vehicle is equal to that of a drunken sheep who just stepped off a roller-coaster (in other words, non-existent).

He is in a similar situation at this very moment.

Jonghyun has just stepped into the subway that in a few stops will land him right at the doorstep of Kibum’s dorm (because taking the car would be too expensive and finding a parking lot near Kibum is always a pain). He tries to scan the seats and handles as inconspicuously as he can and his face drops as he realizes that there are no free spaces on either.

The ceiling handles are on full display, of course.

Absolutely ing perfect.

As he glances to his left, Jonghyun notices one tiny fraction of a vertical handle is unoccupied, almost begging him to come grab onto it. He virtually lungs towards it and he’s so close, so, so close when a hand takes the spot and he can feel all his hopes and dreams come crashing down at that moment (and he thinks all of his dramatics are justified because it’s not fair).

“Oh, were you going for that space?”

Jonghyun turns around and tilts his head up (quite a bit, actually, but he won’t admit that) and if looks could kill, Choi Minho would be nothing but a pile of ashes at his feet. The bastard is wearing a smirk that is as smug as the tone of his comment was sarcastic, (not that Jonghyun expects anything less).

“ you,” Jonghyun huffs out maliciously.

Minho’s smirk widens (he’s looking hella creepy like that) and he raises his free hand to grab the ceiling handle, too, so his elbow is bent in a ninety-degree angle. “Here, you can hold onto my arm instead.” He can barely contain his laughter.

Jonghyun’s eyes widen with fury. “How about  you just shove it up your , huh.”

“Nah, I’ll leave it here for you.” Minho winks mockingly. Jonghyun’s clenching his hands so hard to keep himself from punching him right then and there.

But that thought is soon forgotten as the subway starts with a jerk and the motion flings Jonghyun forward, making him grasp onto something, anything stable to not fall flat on his face. And of course, he realizes a second too late, that thing just so happens to be Minho’s arm.

“Oh, but I thought his highness wouldn’t need the knight in shining armor.”

Jonghyun doesn’t even look up, cheeks burning (he swears it’s only because he’s so pissed at Minho). “I don’t,” is his curt response but the fact that the swaying vehicle has his clutch on Minho’s arm tighten even more contradicts that statement entirely.

“Of cours e not, princess.” Minho’s flat out laughing now.

Jonghyun really hits him this time.

A/N:  So I finally decided to write fic over this. And I know, the fanart looks so cutesy and fluffy and the title for the chapter is misguiding by implying angst, but comedy and pissy Jongho quarrels are the center of this series (if you hadn’t figured as much), so you should expect no less.

But wasn't that just adorable? And I appologize for any mistakes, I just wrote this out. I'll get around to edit this (and the other chapters, God) soon.

Speaking of which, is it just me or does the title to chapter 5 not say 'Cam-' but just '5 chapter'in the index? It's kinda pissing me off (just because it contains a naughty-naughty word, tsk) >:/
