I received my exams results but you weren't there, you were off to a volleyball match.

The next day at least, you came.

I wasn't sure what I was more happy about, was it because you were finally back or was it because I was so grateful that I had you beside me through my painful journey of staying up late studying and being patient enough to teach me whenever I needed help.

You had always pushed me to do my best in everything, you were there when things weren’t going so well.

I was grateful that I had you.

I hugged you tightly, I don't know why but I was crying, I felt very overwhelmed by everything.

You told me you were so proud of me as you my hair gently, and that you were sorry you weren't there with me to get my results.

So you wrapped your arms around me as tight as you can because you were sorry.

I don't know why but you told me, that we'll spend Christmas and New Year that year and years to come.

I guess I believed that too, just the thought made me incredibly happy because I would gladly celebrate it with you.

The thought of just being with you even in the future, gave me that tiny assurance that you'll stay with me just for a little while.

“And although you didn’t know it. You were giving me some of the happiest moments of my life.”
