Yoona opened her eyes slowly, and she squinted right after the lamplight met her gaze. As she was able to adapt with the light, her eyes were fully-opened only to meet her bestfriend grinning widely at her.

“Yoona, you’re awake,” Sooyoung exclaimed happily right after she saw her bestfriend was conscious eventually.

The lying-down girl seemed still clueless about what happened to her and where she was at now as she wandered her gaze around the room. “Hi, Soo. What happened to me? Where am I?” just as she was about to push herself to change her position into sitting position, she winced in pain. Her body and head were hurt like hell, as if the bone inside her body was broke and as if her head just got hit with a piece of wood. Sooyoung quickly prevented the hospitalized girl to get up, making Yoona remained in sleeping position.

“You’re at hospital, Yoona. You really don’t remember anything at all?”

Sooyoung’s question surely invited confusion on Yoona, causing her scrunched her face up, as she was trying to recall the cause she ended in this room. Her mind started to play her memory, and finally she succeeded to remember the last incident.

Yoona got a new program, and since it was the new one, she had to make a discussion along with her fellow team and the program director about the cameras blocking so the performers in the show would be able to appear well in the television. She did the blocking the day before the rehearsal started, and she was done it on the stage along with her team. The studio had dim light, since the lighting hadn’t been fully set yet, so their sight was helped by the flashlight on their hand. Yoona walked back and forth on the stage as she read the rundown on her grip in the middle of discussion. She was too focused on walking as reading the rundown without realizing that she had reached the edge of the two meters-height-stage, and everything went dark afterward.

“Such a clumsy person you are,” Sooyoung shook her head in disbelief after her bestfriend told the incident of hers. “You clearly knew that the stage without the lighting is more dangerous, so you have to be more careful. Tsk!”

Yoona let out a sigh in defeat as her bestfriend blamed at her clumsiness. “Yeah. I’m sorry. Then, what about that program?”

“Don’t worry,” Sooyoung flashed Yoona her smile. “Yunho Oppa took over your job. We work as a team, don’t we? You have to take a rest first. Indeed you have no wound since the doctor didn’t find your body bleeding, however, you have to run some test on your body, just in case something is wrong, especially your head,”

Yoona merely nodded in response and felt that her bestfriend got the point, since her head was still hurt like hell, and if she got up, the dizziness attacked her.

“You were unconscious for a day already, and you gotta take some rest now, okay,” Sooyoung said to her bestfriend as if a mother said to her daughter and Yoona chuckled upon the way Sooyoung treated her. And then, she remembered something.

“Euum, Soo,”

“Ne?”

“You didn’t tell my father or my uncle, did you?”

Sooyoung heaved a sigh before she shook her head lightly. “No, don’t worry. Actually I was about to tell them if you were unconscious for a long time, but luckily, you’re awake fast,”

“Tsk,” Yoona pushed her bestfriend lightly. “Don’t you dare tell them, Soo. You knew already that I don’t wanna make them worry,”

“Yeaa, yeaaa, arrasseooo,” Sooyoung rolled her eyes as a response.

“It’s not what you think, Oppa. It was just a misunderstanding. Don’t you know that i…” Yuri bit her lower lip as her mind went blank, she didn’t know her next line anymore though she had tried so hard to remember it.

“CUT!” the director yelled in frustration, he stood up with arm akimbo. “Yuri-ssi, what’s wrong with you..?! it’s four times already for us to re-take this scene. It’s really not you!”

Yuri was in the middle of drama shoot in Apgujeoung, and the director was right, it was the unusual of her for not remembering her line as doing the shoot. She really didn’t know what was gotten into herself that made her so hard to finish the scenes of her drama as quick as possible.

The celebrity looked at the crew in front of her, and all she could do was nodding apologetically. “I’m sorry,”

“Come on! You should focus, Yuri-ssi. Didn’t you say that you wanted to leave early today? So you have to finish this scene as soon as possible!”

“Yes, Sir,” she could see the crew was same upset as her director and it made her guilty even more.

Yuri took a deep breath before she started to say her line for this scene. She needed to finish this scene, since just like what her director said, she wanted to leave early from this place for going back to hospital, taking care of her mom, since her dad got a work to do.

And finally, Yuri could make it. She let out a sigh in relief right after the director said ‘cut’ while she managed to say the entire of her line perfectly. She made her way to the place of her bag, after taking her stuff, she headed to the van along with her manager. As soon as she got into the van, she leaned her back against the backrest, she was really exhausted because of a bunch of her schedule today. The van was advancing to SM building, and the journey took about an hour, so it was her opportunity to take some rest first before she drove her own car to the hospital. However, just as she was about to close her eyes, her manager bugged her.

“Yuri-ssi, what was gotten into you actually today?”

Yuri opened her half-closed eyes and looked at her manager. “What do you mean, Manager-nim?”

“You seemed not focus today. You had to re-take not only in the drama shoot, but also in the talkshow shoot in KDS. What’s wrong with you?”

The celebrity heaved a sigh, she was really tired and all, but her manager even didn’t let her taking a rest a bit by asking her an unnecessary question for Yuri. She really didn’t know either what was wrong with her. She was barely able to concentrate and focus on the programs she had shot today. Was it because of her family matter, or…certain someone?

“I’m only tired, Manager-nim,” all that she could reply before she shifted her gaze to the outside window, it was a beautiful night with the sky was decorated by the stars, but, why did her heart seem to be cloudy?

“Thanks, Manager-Nim,” she was too lazy to respond her manager any further. She closed her eyes to take some rest before this vehicle arrived at SM building.

Yuri stepped the gas pedal of her car as soon as she got in. She drove along the night to the hospital hurriedly, since she knew her father got work to do, so she needed to arrive at hospital as soon as possible to take care of her mom. However, she was also wondering, why didn’t her dad call her? Was he still waiting for her at the hospital?

BMW Z4 made an entrance to the parking lot of the hospital. Yuri stepped out of her car, putting her hoodie on before she made a way to the certain room. Nobody recognized her with this disguise, so she could take a walk casually into the hospital. The familiar figure was standing in front of the elevator as she was about to take an elevator as well.

“Yuri-yaaa,” the man seemed so happy to see her daughter standing next to her as he wrapped an arm around his daughter’s waist.

“Don’t you have a work to do?”

“You have finished your work already? Then who was looking after mom when you left? You left before I arrived her, doesn’t that mean, you left mom alone?”

Her dad flashed his smile to his beloved daughter. “Don’t worry. As I waited for you, Hyukjoon came, so he was the one who was looking after your mom till now,”

Yuri’s eyes widened right after her dad mentioned her brother’s name, because, since her mom was in coma state, he didn’t come even for once to see her. He was indeed working in Incheon and barely going to home. But, it didn’t mean that he couldn’t come to see his mom, right?

“Hyukjoon Oppa is here?!” there was an annoyance in her tone, furthermore after she remembered what he did to her bestfriend.

The elevator was opened, Mr. Kwon and Yuri walked out of the elevator, making a way together to the VVIP room. “Yes. He suddenly appeared while I was waiting for you,”

The silence engulfed around them while they were walking after Yuri didn’t say any single word. “Why, Yul? He was so busy that he just could come here to see your mom today. Just forgive him,” Yuri’s dad broke the silence, as if he knew what was inside his daughter’s mind.

Yuri merely nodded in response and heaved a sigh. Mr. Kwon opened the door as soon as they arrived at the certain room. Hyukjoon turned his head, and smiled seeing his dad came, furthermore with his long-time-no-see sister. He stood up, making a way to his family members for giving a hug. Just as he was about to hug his sister, he got pushed by the latter, causing him frowned.

“Why, Yul? You don’t miss me?”

Yuri’s eyes avoided his, as she tried to compose herself. Never once he came to see his mom’s state, hiding behind his bustle of work, and now, she saw him standing in front of her. Yuri didn’t know how she should react to him. As if feeling the tense between his children, Mr. Kwon butted in.

“Both of you haven’t had dinner definitely. Just go to the cafeteria now, and I will take care of your mom,”

“No, I have had dinner already, A-“ Yuri was about to deny, but the sound of her stomach couldn’t lie, earning a chuckle from her father and her brother. She couldn’t help but blush, as biting her lower lip.

“C’mon, my sis, let’s have dinner together, I know you must be hungry because of a bunch of schedule of yours,” Hyukjoon slung his arm around Yuri’s shoulder wanting to drag her outside of the room, which couldn’t be refused by the younger one, since her brother was stronger than her.

Yuri pulled Hyukjoon’s arm away from her shoulder after both of them were at the outside of the room. Yuri remained silent, not bother to talk to her brother as they were walking together to the cafeteria in the ground floor, causing an uncomfortable silence between them, and Hyukjoon could do nothing except follow his sister’s rule. The brother and sister were settling down on the corner seat of the cafeteria, having their own meal in the silence. From the across, Hyukjoon stared at his sister who was busy eating her food, he examined his sister’s figures. How fast time flies by, his little sister had changed into a beautiful lady, and she was a famous celebrity, recognized by many people, and Hyukjoon couldn’t help but adore her secretly.

Feeling a pair of eyes were staring at her, Yuri stopped whatever she did and as she looked up, she saw her brother giving a smile to her. Yuri knitted her eyebrows together. “Why are you smiling like an idiot, Oppa?” she asked as was busy munching her food.

Hyukjoon placed his arm on the table, resting his chin on his palm. “How could my used-to-be-whiny-little-sister change to be this stunning beautiful lady, huh?” a bright smile was still written all over his face.

Yuri nearly got choked by her brother’s word, and she took a sip of her water quickly. “Aiish, stop whatever you want to talk, and just finish your own meal, Oppa,” she then continued to catch the food by her chopstick, and shoved it into . As she saw her brother didn’t stop staring at her, she couldn’t help but whine. “Aaah, Oppa, stop staring at me, will you..? i feel bothered because of your eyes…” she covered her face with her palm to prevent her brother’s eyes looking at her.

Hyukjoon couldn’t help but laugh wholeheartedly seeing his sister being like that. He reached his arm out and ruffled her hair in amusement. “You’re still my whiny little sister apparently,” his tease earned a blush of shyness on Yuri’s cheek, causing her pouted cutely. “Okay, okay, Oppa will stop staring at you,” with that, Hyukjoon continued emptying his meal.

As expected, Yuri was the first finished her meal. She was waiting for her brother, as taking a sip of her juice, her eyes were watching her brother. Honestly, she was so glad to see him again. Hyukjoon was the one and only sibling she had, and they used to spend their childhood together.
