Chapter 8 – Invisible

Taeyeon’s POV

After eating we headed to the camp again, it was really late, the sky became darker. I looked at my watch it was already 6pm, tt. I bet everybody was eating their dinner now, I hope there’s some food left for us or I’ll starve to death today. I had only one sandwich and my stomach is reacting to it by growling every now and then. I don’t know if Jessica noticed that I’m really tired or not, she’s always like 10 steps away from me, I always have to wait for her to catch up.

„Come on, it’s really late“

„You don’t say“ Aghh I really hate her sarcasm

„Then move faster“

„You think I wouldn’t if I could?“

I took her hand and dragged her with me.

„What are you doing?“

„Getting to camp?“

„Auchhh“  she stumbled and fell

„You okay?“

„No I’m not okay. If you just didn’t dragged me“

„Sorry, I just….. Let me see“

Her knees were bleeding, otherwise nothing was broken or sprained. I took out a bandage and covered her kneed with it so she wouldn’t bleed out.

Jessica’s POV

„Can you walk?“ she asked

„Yeah I guess so“ My legs didn’t hurt so much, I was just tired of this long, long day

„Okay let’s go“

We walked for like 10 minutes next to each other, when she shifted her bag to her stomach and walked faster to get in front of me. Is she trying to race me?

But she stopped, bent down and took me by surprise on her back.

OMG she’s piggybacking me, why are my cheeks so hot?? Thanks god she can’t see my face now

„What are you doing?“

„Getting to camp?“

„I can walk on my own“ Not that I mind this

„Sure you can“

We walked, well she walked like this in silence, the camp was actually really near so we got there sooner then I thought. Everybody was already chilling by the bonfire, when we arrived.

I hoped down, when Tiffany came to greet us. She had a really confused looked on her face, maybe because she just saw us piggybacking, but the confused look was quickly changed with worry when she saw my knees in bandages.

„What happened? Why is she bleeding?“

„It was my fault“ Taeyeon said

„Of course it was your fault Taetae, you should’ve looked after her“

„What??“ Taeyeon’s face looked dumbfonded

„It’s nothing Tiffany“ I assured her „Really, it doesn’t hurt anymore“ I moved my legs to prove it to her „See“

„Fine“

We tooked our bags to the tents, Taeyeon was with Tiffany and I was with Yoona. After that I saw Taeyeon quickly running to the camp kitchen, so I followed her since I was hungry too.

When we came in there was only a bit of rice left, with few pieces of meat and some vegetables. I guess our classmates were hungry too.

She looked dissapointed, I’m not surprised I hurt her stomach growling the whole time we walked here and like I ate 2 of her sandwiches so she had 2 less than she planed to eat. I felt bad for eating so much of her lunch.

I started to walk away, because she needed the food more than me.

„Where are you going?“

„I’m not hungry“

„But you haven’t had dinner yet“ Why is she acting like she cares?

„I don’t need dinner“

„You still need to eat you know“ Oh god this is annoying, just eat it all Kim Taeyeon

„I said I’m not hungry“ my voice came on a bit too strong

With that I left.
