Chapter 17 – The weird date

Jessica’s POV

Two weeks have passed since the Yoonstal “declaration of love”, ugghh it’s been very much annoying since then. Yoona took Krystal on the fancy date she promised, they did everything romantic actually: went to the cinema, fancy restaurant for dinner, ferris wheel at night with the perfect view of the city and a walk in the park. Crazy, how she managed to get the perfect date in such a small amount of time.

 I’m happy for them, I am, but like they’ve been super duper annoying since then. Late night talks, giggles everywhere I go, calling each other cute names…..

 It’s my house ffs. Thanks god I haven’t heard any weird sounds yet (If you know what I mean).

My love life has been even crazier than before. Yuri and Fany tried everything to win me over, but the thing is they always do the same thing so it’s really hard to choose.

I’ve been on several dates with each of them. I went to the cinema with Yuri and to the theatre with Fany. Fancy restaurant once, another time a street market. Sweet walks and boat rides another time. Yeah yeah it might sound different but the dates were all the same. Both were treating me like a princess.

You are so pretty Jessica, I brought you a gift, let me feed you, I’ll carry that for you. It feels like a competition then a date when I’m with them. What’s more they ask about each other more than they ask about how I’m doing.

“So what did Tiffany buy you?”

“Does Yuri compliment you?”

“Where will she take you next?”

“Do you already have plans with her?”

It’s like a circle, all dates are the same.

I’m not saying they are not nice, they are. Perfectly prepared dates, but something feels off.

But the weirdest thing is that The Kim midget isn’t picking fights with me anymore. She doesn’t even talk to me. Whenever we pass on the school floor she wouldn’t even look me in the eyes. When we have group assignments she never talks. And above all she started to smell amazing. Wait amazing? I meant not so bad, pretty good? She started using some kind of new perfume and every time I sit next to her it’s…it’s refreshing?? She gives me chills sometime.

If you’re wondering what I’m doing now, well I’m in class kinda dozing off. I’m looking at Taeyeon now, uhmm no what the hell? I was looking forward at the blackboard but since she sits before me I couldn’t look elsewhere. Well I could but you know I was just dozing off, so I wasn’t minding her at all.

She smells like strawberries with a tint of roses. I love that smell. Uhmm because strawberries and roses are red and light red looks like pink and Tiffany loves pink and I like Fany right?? Yeah that must be the case.

After school I went home and took a cold shower, everything has been confusing so I needed to clear my mind. Of course after a few minutes I hear giggles again. They are home….

I sit down on the couch and turn on the TV so I wouldn’t hear them and I just watch whatever is on.

“Oh unnie, you’re home”

“Yeah, and so are you”

“Sica-unnie”

“Oh you are home too, Yoona? I didn’t notice”

“Sorry, were we too loud again?”

“Nah, I just had a boring weird day, week, month Idk”

“Unnie we are invited to the KIMC event this Saturday”

“We?”

“Well you and Yoona, I can tag along” She looked at me with a wink

“What kind of an event is it?”

“It says surprise party” Krystal handed me the invitation card

“Surprise?” I looked at the gold letters

“I think they are going to officially show their daughters” Yoona said

“Wait, Kim Taeyeon??” I asked a bit louder than intended

“That’s the younger one right?” - K

“Yeah, I guess” - J

“Do you know her?” - Y

“Not personally, but she gave me some really nice shoes” - J

“What? Really? How?” - K

“Fany knows her” - J

“One of your girlfriends knows Kim Taeyeon?” - K

“Again Fany is not my girlfriends, we are just going on dates….”

“Before you choose which one is better, bla bla bla… we heard this 3 months ago. And you still haven’t chosen, which means you’re kinda a biaachhh” – K

“You think I don’t know that? You think it’s funny to lead them on? You think I don’t think about it every day?” Shiet I’m crying, stop it Jessica, you are embarrassing yourself

“Unnie I’m sorry, I didn’t mean  to” Soojung hugged me

“No you are right I should end it”

“Huh?”

“I should decide tonight”

“What???”

“Sica-unnie you don’t have to”

“No I have to, I can’t waste another day”
