Taeyeon’s POV

I was sitting on my porch after the date with Baek, I needed a moment, I needed to think, to figure this all out. I thought I was dreaming when suddenly I heard footsteps approaching me. I looked up and it was her. Jessica was walking towards me in the middle of the night?

“Hey” she shyly said while standing in front of me

What is she doing here?

“Hey?” I answered

She stood there awkwardly for a while not daring to look me in the eyes. Who is this shy girl? Where is the confident popstar?

“What are you doing here?” I finally asked

“I don’t know” she was scratching the back of her head and twitching with her legs. I have never seen her like this and it was the cutest sight. I liked this side of her.

“I was driving around and I just wanted to see you”

She what? Did I hear correctly? She wanted to see me?

“Why?” I was curious

She didn’t answer me, she just got closer and sat next to me on the porch. Silence engulfed us again. But it was comfortable. I liked the space we had, and I also liked how close we were at the moment.

“Do you have to marry him?” She suddenly asked without looking at me

“I think so” The moon was shining beautifully today, and I could see the right side of her face. She looked great as always but seemed down for some reason.

“You think so?” She turned her head and we locked eyes

“It would make my parents happy” Her eyes were too intense, so I looked at the ground.

“Would it make you happy?”

I didn’t know how to reply. Would it make me happy? Could it make me happy?

She didn’t like the silence, so she touched my arm to make me look at her.

“Taeyeon, where is the stubborn outspoken girl I met in the principal’s office? Where is she?”

There was a pause again, we only looked at each other, this time I didn’t dare break it. I wanted to look into her eyes forever.
