Chapter 13 - Love awkwardly

Krystal’s POV

“I bought burritos, thought you’d like it” Like?? Don’t act like you don’t know Im Yoona that this is my favourite food

“Thanks”

We ate in silence and then Jessica left to go to the “bathroom”

Ughhh I hate my sister. I was about to leave myself, but SHE stopped me.

“Krystal can we talk?”

“ Uhmm, yeah….”

Oh God, this is going to be sooo awkward

“Could you sit?”

“Why?”

“Just please”

“Fine” Like sitting would make this less awkward

She sat down too, but didn’t say a word

“So are you just gonna stare at me or?”

“Look, I’m sorry”

“For what?”

“For everything” I still didn’t get it, what does she mean??

“You did nothing wrong”

“It’s just we became distant because of me”

“It wasn’t your fault, it just happened”

“I missed you Krystal”

“So did I….” silence only silence could be heard

Okay it’s really awkward now

“You know I missed you, but I really don’t know how to act around you anymore, we can’t go back to what we had Yoona”

“I don’t need that, just can we start over? And be friends?”

I hesitated, how could I be friends with her? The person, which I long for so much, but can’t really have?? But staying away from her will just hurt me more.

“Okay”

“Hmmm?”

“I said okay”

“Really??”

“Friends? I guess?”

“Yay” she hugged me

OMG OMG she’s hugging me, act cool Soojung, just act cool

Ahhh she smells just the same, I missed it, I missed this so much

Get your grip together Krystal!! She’s just a FRIEND

I can’t believe I’m in this state again, in this stupid hearbreaking friendzone

But at least let’s enjoy this hug

“So you guys made up?” Great timing sis

“Yeah” we both said

“Hey so how was the school trip? Jessica hasn’t told me anything”

“Oh your sis is two timing”

“What?” Two what?? Jessica? Dating?

“I’m not”

“You totally are”

“I’m not dating neither of them, so no I’m not two timing”

“But you are playing both of them”

“Yoona!!”

“Wait so you are together with two people?”

“I’m not, it’s complicated”

“Well I have lots of time to listen to you” I smirked

“Basically your sis can’t seem to sort her feelings out. She told me she liked Yuri but then she kissed Tiffany”

“I didn’t kiss her, she kissed me”

“Whatever, same thing”

“So who’s she together now?”

“Nobody, she told them to wait until she realizes who she likes more”

“That’s cruel unnie”

“But what should I do? I …I’m attracted to both of them. One is sweet and cute and the other one is hot and caring”

“You’re such a player”

“I’m not, it’s just I never had time to experience crushes like you guys”

Oh trust me you wouldn’t want to experience what I’ve been through with my CRUSH, sitting just on this very couch.

“It’s like my mind is giving me double of the feelings I could’ve had if I’ve had a normal life. I don’t even know if I like my schedule free time anymore”

“It’s gonna be alright Sica-unnie”

We talked a bit more, helped Yoona unpack, watched some movies together and eventually fell asleep in the living room.

Yoona’s POV

Everything went back to normal, or at least I think so. Krystal and I were on good terms again, oh how I missed spending time together with the Jungs. I wonder if I would be together with Krystal now if she wasn’t my best friend’s sister.

I remember being jealous one time when she went on a date with this boy Jongin, I was furious but couldn’t comprehend what was wrong with me. Weeks after that I realized that maybe just maybe I did have feelings for her.

When she confessed to me that day, I still remember how beautiful she looked in that white strapless dress giving me an orange rose as a symbol of her first love. It was touching and I really wanted to say yes, but...yeah but, I know I was stupid, I rejected the perfect girl because I couldn’t risk losing two most important people in my life. There were millions of thought in my head that moment. What if I wasn’t good enough, what if I hurt her? Would Sica-unnie hate me? Would she leave me if we broke up? Things would definitely change and I didn’t want to risk anything. I’m a coward I admit.

Unfortunately rejecting her and moving away made me lose them both.

Living in the States without the Jungs was a horror. Yes the people there were great, the atmosphere was great, the food was great. Only great…. Nothing compared to the times I spent with the Jungs. I missed them.

Luckily I got them back - I smiled.

But before I drifted to the dreams I looked over to admire HER beauty once more.

Jessica’s POV

After the weekend we went back to school, Yoona and I said bye to Krystal before driving to the university.

The ride was quiet but the comfortable quiet I liked. We were soon reaching our destination, when I remembered that one question I wanted to ask my best friend.

“You know that Taeyeon likes you right?”

“What?”

“Taeyeon, Kim Taeyeon, the midget that hangs around Fany a lot”

“What bout her?”

“She likes you”

“What?”

“Ahhhhh will you stop?”

“I just don’t know what you want from me?”

“Do you like her?”

“I…she’s pretty”

“So?”

“I don’t know, I’ve never thought of her that way. Why you asking?”

“Was just curious, if you’d date someone like her”

“Oh”

“At least tell her she has no chance before she falls for you more”
