Kai got off at the stop in front of his college.

He began walking down the perfectly straight and clean sidewalk.

Keeping his eyes on the ground, he studied the cracks between each perfect square of pavement.They all seemed to be the same width, with no leaves or other debris stuck inside.

He began counting the cracks, making sure he didn't step on any, when he felt a tap on his shoulder.

Glancing back he saw a slender finger in position to tap him again.

He traced the finger to a peculiarly aesthetic hand and from that hand, to a lean, pale arm, to a familiar white and red striped shirt, to an even more familiar face.

Kai turned around fully to face the smaller boy.

"Baekhyun! What are you doing here."

Baekhyun withdrew his hand and nonchalantly said, "what do ya mean."

Kai paused for a moment. The eureka moment arrived a few moments later, and with that Kai exclaimed, "You go here!?"

Baekhyun gave him a quizzical stare and took a step around the frazzled kid.

He continued walking towards the school and called behind him, "You always stare at the ground, how would you ever notice me?"

Kai stared at the boy's back in disbelief, and then ran to catch up to the surprisingly fast walker.

Hearing the heavy breathing and heavy footsteps behind him, Baekhyun smiled to himself and waited for the tan boy to catch up.

"You know, I never though I'd see the day when you'd notice me."

Kai panted and between breaths he sputtered out, "yeah....well....I guess today is the day."

"You also know that we share our first class too, right?"

"WHAT?!"

Baekhyun continued walking, a hint of a smirk graced his mouth.

He glanced at Kai who was gaping in incredulity.

"Yep that's right, so maybe we should be friends."

This knocked Kai out of his shock, and he scanned Baekhyun's face, looking for any sign of a joke.

"Why so suddenly."

"Well, I've been watching you- I mean seeing you every now and then, and you don't seem to have any friends." -Besides that one handsome creature.- "I'm sure you get pretty lonely."

"I am not lonely, I'm just a bit introverted. Anyways I have Chanyeol."

Hmmm, so that's his name.

Kai starred at Baekhyun's face, and noticed the look of someone who had gone to Lala Land.

"Hey," Kai said, waving his hand in front of Baekhyun's face, " you okay?"

"Ohh, uhh, yes," Baekhyun said, quickly looking down to hide his reddining face.

Kai smiled at the cute boy, he guessed befriending this creature would be okay, seeing that he had helped him on the bus. He also had the feeling that this boy was crushing on his tall friend.

Kai glanced at Baekhyun's freshly rosy cheeks and said, "fine, I'll take your offer,...and I'll help you out with your crush too."

Baekhyun's jaw dropped, and he looked away quickly, feeling more blood rush to his face.

He managed a, "YA," in embarrassment, then started fast-walking away.
