Terminal Daydream

RyeoWook is relieved to see that SiWon has at least toned it down some, isn’t a constant buffer against his nerves like he was last time, so RyeoWook finds it easier to be forgiving with him.

He also feels a lot better about the fact that he’s wearing trousers today which is infinitely more familiar and comforting than the constant anxiety of unintentionally flashing someone or getting his hair caught in something and making a fool of himself.

And he’s had a month to discuss things with their mutual acquaintances and get used to the idea of having a horse with octopus tentacles glued to him at all hours.

Overall he’s just in a much better mood than he was and his mind is more open to actually befriending SiWon, so he starts to finally notice his good points.

For one, he’s being very kind to all the little miscellaneous staffs milling about and RyeoWook always appreciates that and takes it as a positive sign; he’s also being very considerate towards RyeoWook, which he was doing last time too, but it’s less grating today; he’s a genuine talent and professional; he’s a bit goofy and his attention span is a little short, but he’s not a complete bimbo; he’s handsome (and tall, which RyeoWook is still irritated by and envious of) and he has a nice build so, the clothes he’s given look good on him and he’s very confident on set; he’s capable, has a good eye for lighting and angles and doesn’t need to stop and check the script every five seconds–

In sum, his second impression is much better than his first and RyeoWook’s initial aversion is waning.

It’s a long shoot, but also a productive one and RyeoWook is happy to have SungMin as a touchstone whenever he gets a little lost or overwhelmed. He also has a previously established repertoire with most of the crew and an easy comraderie with any and all of the new faces, so after everything’s been said and done he’s both content with the day’s work and optimistic about the future of their project.

His mind is a satisfied and sleepy buzz and he’s looking forward to going home to the warmth and security of his queen sized bed and not thinking about much else as he bows to everyone on set and thanks them for their hard work, which is why it kind of throws him when SiWon comes up to invite him out for:

“Coffee or a drink or a meal or do you just wanna go hangout somewhere? My treat.” And he’s so earnest and RyeoWook is in such a cheery mood that he can’t refuse.

He also can’t fathom staying upright and presentable in a public place and suggests that they go to his place where he has wine and take out menus.

If he were more awake he might key on to the blush on SiWon’s cheeks. As it stands, he only sees the goofy grin that blooms over the man’s handsome features and returns it with a soft smile of his own and a companionable pat to his arm.
