Park Sojin was feeling miserable, her boyfriend of two years, Kim Taehyung, had cancelled on her again for the eighth time in three months. The last date that they had was three months ago and since then Taehyung had been extremely busy.

But Sojin sincerely trusted Taehyung’s explanations and excuses at least until recently. She believed his explanations and reasons until three weeks ago when she spotted him out with his friend, Jung Hoseok. Taehyung had cancelled on her on that day because he had something urgent to settle but back then her birthday was just around the corner, so she just assumed that he had something planned for her birthday. But when his friend, Hoseok, spilled the beans on where they went on that day, made Sojin realise that Taehyung had ditched her to hang out with his friend. And no, she did not keep Taehyung from meeting his friends but she was mad that Taehyung had cancelled on her and he had lied to her about his plans to the day. And Hoseok was not the kind of guy to lie, he was a particularly bad liar so his lies would always be easily found out.

Sojin furrowed her eyebrows as she got off the bus. Sojin walked towards an apartment building, where Jeon Jungkook, her junior from university and also Taehyung’s friend lived. Jungkook introduced them almost three years ago and a blossoming friendship had started which eventually bloomed into the relationship that Taehyung and Sojin had today.

Sojin rang the doorbell and it took a few seconds before it was opened. Jungkook opened the door with pursed lips as he welcomed her in.

“Oh, hi unnie!” Smiled Aeri, Jungkook’s girlfriend.

“Is everything alright, noona?” Asked Jungkook.

“Taehyung cancelled on me again!” Whined Sojin.

Jungkook raised an eyebrow before he dragged her to the couch, while Aeri prepared some snacks.

“We were supposed to have lunch together today, but he cancelled on me again. And a couple of weeks ago he ditched me to hang out with Hoseok-shi. He didn’t even send me a text on my birthday. He sent me a text three days after my birthday.” Complained Sojin.

Jungkook frowned, “To be honest, I haven’t been keeping in contact with Taehyung hyung lately. So I don’t know what he’s been up to lately.

Sojin sighed, “I know but he won’t tell me anything anymore, he barely calls me or sends me any texts. He doesn’t pick up any of my calls or answer to any of my texts except when he asks me for a date or to cancel on me.”

“H-He’s just not the Taehyung I knew before.” Admitted Sojin.

“I’ll talk to Jimin hyung about this okay? I’m sure that Jimin hyung already has his suspicions about Taehyung’s behaviour, he does catch on pretty quickly on any matters involving you.” Sighed Jungkook.

Jungkook patted Sojin back as Aeri came out from the kitchen. Aeri handed Sojin a sandwich and some orange juice and the latter took it with a small smile.

“Don’t worry unnie. Your boyfriend is missing out on a lot by not being with you.” Said Aeri, giving Sojin a hug.

“Noona, if you aren’t busy, do stay and watch a movie with us.” Offered Jungkook.

Sojin shook her head, “Nah, I’m meeting Jiminnie. But thanks for the offer.”

“Be safe unnie!” Said Aeri, as Sojin got up from her seat.

Sojin smiled and left the apartment. Jungkook let out a sigh when the door closed.

“What in the world happened to Taehyung hyung?” Mumbled Jungkook.

Aeri frowned and gave her boyfriend a hug and kiss.

“I’ll talk to Jimin hyung tomorrow during practice.” Sighed Jungkook.

“He’s missing out on a lot, unnie is such a nice girl.” Mumbled Aeri.

“I know, that’s why I have to talk to him and Jimin hyung as soon as possible. I feel bad seeing Sojin noona like that, I did introduce them after all.” Sighed Jungkook.

“It’s not your fault, Kookie. They had happy memories together, so would never blame your for that. They’d probably thank you instead.” Said
