Song Airin groaned as she made her way to the bathroom in between her classes. She was suffering from pretty bad cramps and stomachache from her period which started the day before. Usually, her cramps were pretty bad for two days before and after her period began, but this month it went on to the third day. Airin guessed that it was due to the stress from school since their exams were just around corner. But that wasn't the only thing that Airin was annoyed about. She had flunked a mock test because of her cramps, she was focusing on her cramps more than the test. Luckily, it was a self-checked test, her teacher didn't need to see and know that one of his best students had flunked his mock tests.
Airin groaned before she exited the washroom only to bump into her friend and fellow American, Mark Tuan.
"Are you feeling alright? You didn't seem so well this morning." Spoke Mark.
"I'm fine, it's just been a bad day." Grumbled Airin.
Mark blinked before he nodded, he wasn't used to seeing a grumpy Airin. The Airin he knew was usually cheerful.
"You wanna skip class?" Asked Mark.
Airin blinked confusedly, and Mark chuckled at her confused reaction.
"You have free period right?" Asked Mark.
Airin nodded, "But you don't."
"Mr Kim cancelled class because he had a meeting, so I'm done for the day. And besides it's last period, half of my class already left." Spoke Mark.
"Okay, so what do you suggest we do? I don't feel like going out though." Spoke Airin.
Mark grinned, "I know what to do, we are not going out anyway."
Airin sighed and nodded, "Just let me go and get my stuff."
Mark smiled, "I'll meet you at the school gate."
Airin headed to her classroom to grab her bag, only to find half of her class gone. Airin then headed to her locker to keep some of her books before meeting Mark at the school gate. Mark smiled as Airin approached him. Airin returned the smile with a small one of her own before it quickly switched to a frown because of her cramps.
Mark and Airin walked back to their share house, which Airin's grandparents owned. The share house that they lived in housed fifty people including other students and staff. The share house was a twenty storey apartment building, and the students who stay at the share house pay more in school fees to cover the living expenses such as food, electricity and other necessities. The first floor was the reception and life area, there
