"Sooae, please consider it," she pleaded, eyeing the younger lady sitting before her with a baby girl in her arms, "your husband just passed away and..."

"Sooae, it's only the correct thing to do, you're still young and still have a whole future ahead of you," another voice chimed in, "I know that you loved your child a lot but..."

"I can't," Sooae said, crying her eyes out. She glanced up at the two ladies who were kneeling before her, "I can't bring myself to do it."

The first one sighed and grabbed ahold of Sooae's shoulders, "look, they said that they'll take good care of her, at least we know that she'll end up in a great family," she said, trying her best to convince Sooae. Sooae bit her bottom lips and glanced down at the little girl in her arms who was bundled up in a pink blanket.

"But..."

"Don't think too much Sooae," the second one reached over and grabbed the baby girl and tore her away from Sooae's embrace.

"Dia!" Sooae shouted. She immediately got up to her feet to retrieve her baby but the other girl held her down, "let me go Boyoung!" she grabbed onto Boyoung's hands and tried to pry Boyoung's hands off of her shoulders.

"Sooae...we're so sorry," Dia said, giving Sooae one last glance before walking through the door.

"My baby!!!!"

Being torn away from her mother before learning how to crawl, Taeyeon is sent to a foster home after she lost her father in a horrible car accident. Because Sooae was still at a young age, her sister and best friend, Boyoung and Dia, thought it was best to separate daughter from mother so that Taeyeon wouldn't be brought up in shame, for not having a father. After being sent to a foster home and living there for her first 4 months of her life, Taeyeon is then adopted into a middle class family who loves her as much as they loved their deceased daughter. Not knowing who her biological mother is, Taeyeon continues to live through out her childhood life and young teen life with her adopted parents.
