The Seven Boys

He shook his head. “Idon’t know. When the ninja looking guys teamed up on each one of us, Ididn’t get a chance to see him. He was gone.” Isearched for JungKook amongst the dead men who littered the floor. Then Iremembered how Snickers commanded the men to attack. “He escaped after the fight. JungKook went to find him, Ihope.” Itold Namjoon. “Who?” He asked in confusion. “The leader.” He finally understood and nodded. “Then let’s go.” We started walking to the end of the warehouse. It had giant piles of supplies and boxed goods standing at least 9 to 13 feet tall. This was also the darkest part of the warehouse. Namjoon grabbed me by the shoulders and turned me around. He then took bandage wrap, or medical gauze, around my left arm. Iwinced as he tightened the knot. “There. That’ll do for now.” Inodded in agreement and we continued walking into the near darkness. Suddenly, Iheard something drop to the ground. It sounded like a knife. Iwhispered to Namjoon for us to split up. He really didn’t want for us to split, because of my wound but Iinsisted and he agreed. Ireached down to grab Wicked from it’s holder but Iforgot to take it from the guy who almost killed me several times. Icursed at myself, but then breathed a sigh of relief when Irealized Istill had Arcus. Iheld Arcus in position, ready to shoot if needed. As Icontinued down the warehouse, the temperature dropped slightly. Iput on my face mask, which hid half of my face, up to the top of my nose. Isaw someone move between the box towers 6 feet in front of me. Iheld my breath as Iwalked over silently. The air was tense and still. My heart seemed to be the loudest thing in the warehouse. Ilooked around. Nothing was there. Iwas at the back of the warehouse. Ilet out my breath. Then where the- my thoughts were abruptly interrupted. Suddenly, someone grabbed me from behind and clamped their hand over my mouth. “Struggling is futile. If you want to survive, then keep quiet.” Iheard Snickers whisper in my ear from behind. There was a moment of silence as Istruggled to escape his grasp, but Icouldn’t get out of it. He pinned my arms backwards. His right hand slithered up the side of my body. “You’re very strong and talented, Ican see.” He breathed into my ear again. Ishivered. “You can be so useful in so many ways.” He hissed. Chills ran up my back where his chest and my back made contact. He firmly grabbed my chin and forced it upwards. Then Ifelt the cold end of a gun against the lump of my throat. “Too bad you don’t obey. You would’ve been a good girl, Iknow it.” He pushed the gun against my neck harder, making breathing a bit more of a challenge. “I’m sorry, darling.” He told me before he began to close his finger on the trigger. Isqueezed my eyes shut. Is this the end? Iasked myself. Iheard the crackling noise of a gunshot piercing the silent air and something hot splatter against the back of my head. Snicker’s grip loosened. When he fell, Ilooked over in the direction that the bullet had been shot and Isaw JungKook standing there. His arm was lifted with his gun, the Phoenix. He rushed to my side and supported me. “Are you alright?” He asked me gently. Inodded and a single tear fell from my eyes. “Thank you JungKook. Idon’t know what Iwould do without you. Really, thanks.” Ihugged JungKook tightly and he hugged me back. Isaw Namjoon come running around the corner of a box tower and he looked at Snickers before walking over to my side. He patted my shoulders. “Thank god you’re okay. Iheard the gunshot and Ithought…” His voice trailed off and he cleared his throat. “Anyway, let’s get the mom. And we need to get you to a doctor for your arm.” Ilaughed. “Yeah. Iget injured too easily.” Isaid as we walked back towards the entrance of the warehouse. “That’s why you have us.” Namjoon smiled as he put his arm around my shoulder, and the other on JungKook’s. When we saw the dead men we stopped walking. Ilooked at Namjoon and JungKook. “Where do you think she would be?” Iwondered. We all looked around. There were just boxes on boxes. “You…you don’t think they put her in a box, do you?” JungKook suggested. Ididn’t respond. “What if she’s already dead?” Namjoon asked. We stared in silence. Then my eyes locked onto a box moving slightly. A thumping noise came from it. It was a long wooden box, with a few holes in it. Iheard someone screaming. “There!” Ipointed to the box and we sprinted to it. “Can you hear me?” Ishouted at it. It moved again, and a muffled voice inside said, “Yes!” Inodded to Namjoon. He stood up and JungKook and Ibacked up. Namjoon unsheathed Silent Night from his back and held it in front of him. “Stay still and don’t panic.” He instructed the person inside. The box moved slightly again. Namjoon began slashing at the wooden box. His movements were sharp and precise. He continued to slice at the box until we heard a woman’s voice clearly. “You can stop now!” She yelled at Namjoon. There was a small opening where her eyes were now visible. The sharp tip of the Silent Night was only a few inches from the woman’s face. Iran over to her and thanked Namjoon. He shrugged and placed Silent Night back. Isaw that there were locks on the side of the box. If you’re wondering, “Why didn’t they just break the locks and let the poor woman out?” Excuse me, but we wanted to make sure that that box had the woman in it. What if it was something else? A man? More assassins? So thats why we had Namjoon slash it open. Istood back a little and then smashed my foot down on the locks. It was just enough force to break them. Ilifted the heavy wooden top of the box and the woman scurried out of it. She brushed the dirt off of her dress and then took a couple of deep breaths. Then she turned to face us. “Ican’t thank you enough. How can Iever repay you? You saved me and possibly my son or my daughter. Really…thank you…” She buried her face into her hands and sobbed. Icame over to her and patted her shoulders comfortably. She looked up at me with the tears running down her face. “You don’t have to repay us.” Itold her. She wiped her tears. She looked a lot like the little girl, with the tears running down her face. “Justice doesn’t need a reward. The reward is seeing the person’s smile and knowing that you’ve done the right thing. That is all Ineed.” Ismiled at her and she hugged me. “Thank you. You’re all blessed children. My name is Anna Kilmburg. Ilive near the hospital. Iwork there, actually.” She took notice of my wound and looked up at me. “May I?” Anna asked. Inodded. She promptly removed the gauze from my wound and inspected my gash. Then she knotted it again. “Do you mind following me to my house? Ican tend your wound.” Anna asked me hopefully. “It’s the least Ican do for you.” She smiled sweetly. Inodded and we began walking out of the warehouse. Anna eyed the dead men lying facedown on the floor before we left. The walk wasn’t long. When we had arrived, Isaw Jimin  standing next to the girl who sat in a chair. They were eating the remains of the chocolate bar Ihad given her. Ifrowned at Jimin  . The girl’s eyes brightened and she had the biggest smile on her face. She ran to her mom screaming, “Mommy! Mommy!” Anna scooped her up into her arms and embraced her daughter. She ran her fingers through her hair. “Mia…” Anna whispered. She put Mia down and then looked at me. “I’ll go inside and find an ointment for your wound. I’ll be right back.” She pushed open the doors of her house and disappeared inside. Iwalked to Jimin  . Ilooked at him questioningly. “Ithought Itold you to stay at the spot where we found Mia.” He looked at me apologetically. “She insisted we go to her house. She dragged me here. Iwas held hostage. She wouldn’t give me anymore chocolate.” He raised his hands in a playful defensive way. Ilaughed. “Igave that to her! It was hers!” Ipointed to Jimin  . A smile grew on his face. We looked at each other in silence until Ipoked his stomach. “You fatty!” Iyelled. He laughed and then tickled me back. We fell to the ground, tickling each other and letting out shouts of laughter. Anna emerged from behind the door and we quickly got up and brushed each other off. Jimin  cleared his throat and we acted as if nothing happened. We both shot sideways glances at each other and tried to act mature, but Namjoon stifled a laugh and Igiggled. Anna smiled too, when she approached me. “Here you go darling. Apply this to your wound. It should heal by 3 to 4 days max. It’ll burn a bit, as it disinfects your wound. Just stick your finger in there and scoop some out, okay?” Inodded as Iabsorbed the information Igave it to Namjoon and he put it in my pack. Ithanked Anna. “Oh, don’t thank me. Ishould be the one thanking you! Goodbye now, children! Stay safe!” She waved from her porch. Ilooked back and waved. Mia stood next to her mother and grinned as she waved at me also. Iturned around and did a little happy jump as we continued our journey to Dead Silence down the street.
