Getting serious
It was rather amusing. Sitting next to Kyuhyun, watching him trying to hide himself in shame was the best thing she had ever got to see in her entire existence. Having browsed through his computer history in the seconds he took to go to the living and prepare some proper plates for the food. It had taken only a few seconds for her to download the movie and then put it on a stick, asking Kyuhyun to watch it together.
Kyuhyun had insisted, almost begged to not watch the movie but she had always been fond of historical movies so she had to watch it. Then, the movie turned a bit the other way, compared to what she had expected and she couldn’t help but laugh at Kyuhyun’s reactions. Apparently The Treacherous wasn’t a historical movie about kingdoms and fight but about satisfying the ual desires of the king. It seemed Kyuhyun had watched quite a ual movie and was now beyond and above ashamed to watch it again next to her.
When the first scene happened, he had gathered the blanket and hid his face. It was obvious he was getting bothered by the scenes, especially once the so called training of the girls became more advanced. When the last few minutes of the movie were up, Kyuhyun was already wrapped up in the blanket, trying to not show the smallest bit of his lower body. It was hilarious.
“You’re .” Jihye laughed her off, ending up on the floor while hitting the surface of it, feeling more and more amused by the look on his face.
“Shut up. Any healthy person would. Don’t tell me you aren’t.” he tried to hit her with his leg and get his revenge.
“Well... guess I am lucky to be a girl. With me it doesn’t show.” She ended up rolling on the floor, almost losing her breathe from all the laughing.
“Seeing how you turn around on your leg, I see you are healthier now. Go home.” He hissed as he tried to kick her again, getting up from the couch with the blanket so his turn on wouldn’t show.
“Fine...” she laughed a bit more. “I’m going to the doctor tomorrow to remove the plaster. Let me know if you wanna join.” She continued laughing as she walked towards the exit of his apartment.
“I won’t.” he actually glared at her, taking one of the pillows from the couch to hit her with it as she leaves.
“Don’t be so touchy, Kyukyu. I totally get it. You don’t have a girl so you need to release from time to time.” she joked as she pretended to close the door behind her so he would throw the pillow. “Hop hop to the bathroom.” She joked a bit more once he threw the pillow and she could open the door again.
“Damn this woman....” he hissed when she finally left. It took him after that, only about five seconds to run and get inside the bathroom.
Watching that sort of a movie with a girl he liked was not a good idea. Usually, any sort of a romantic movie watched together with a girl was supposed to bring forth some skinship between them and then kisses and the whole deal but not with her. Even if she would have been single, she was still the type of person to laugh her off when watching this type of a movie and see his reactions.
She was never going to get in the mood of such a movie because she was never going to take him serious. It was because of things like this that he had the certainty she felt nothing towards him. If she would have considered him as a man even a little bit, she would not have been able to watch through the entire movie without blushing once.
He didn’t know, he had no idea her laughter was a way of hiding her own embarrassment. It wasn’t easy to watch this type of a movie all by her own, so watching it together with Kyuhyun was even more embarrassing. She knew she had to do something the moment she noticed he was fidgeting and gathering the blanket above his lap. The moment she was back inside her own apartment, she leaned against the door and took a deep breath. It was hard. Damn hard to not show any emotions. She had not imagined the movie was like that so the very moment she became a bit troubled by it, she knew she had to crack a joke.
After eating together and watching the movie, she was tired so she went to take a shower so she could just go get some sleep. Thankfully, she could get the plaster removed the next day so she wouldn’t have to rely on Kyuhyun anymore. Not like he had been of much help in the past day with him going all seeing inside the future. After getting her plaster undone, she knew she had to go to the library and get as much information as possible about anyone and anything that could lead to a connection to the future. Whatever Kyuhyun was experiencing, it wasn’t normal so surely it was going to cause side effects and she could already see some appearing.
She had expected him not to join. He was too full of himself and preoccupied with his own person to take away a few minutes of his life to join her once she was healthy. It wasn’t going to hurt him to take 20 minutes of his damn life to accompany her at the doctor. Then again, if he had, he would not have agreed with her going to find out how to stop whatever was happening to him.
She had about 10 more minutes until reaching the biggest library in city and was waiting at the red light when her phone rang. Kyuhyun. Well, at least he had the courtesy to give a call.
“What?” she asked as she picked up the phone, answering the call. “What do you mean where I am?” she asked with a frown on her face.
Even though the light turned green, she waited for him to continue talking. He was asking her not to go anywhere, just stay put. She would have normally discarded that but there was a hint of alarm in his voice that she just couldn’t ignore. He sounded panicked, afraid and it was making her feel the same way.
“Fine. I’ll stay put until you arrive.” She ended up promising, moving away from the crossing and back towards a bench close to the bus station.
She had no idea what was going on with him but, just like always, she found herself letting him win. She never could win him. Then again, was it because he was that strong of an opponent or because she had always allowed him to? Ever since young, she had followed in his steps and granted him wishes here and there. When he asked for help, she gave it. She could have always said no or just ignore him but she had always chosen to do as he wanted.
To distract herself from her thoughts, she decided to call her boyfriend.
“Hey... what’s up?” she asked the moment he picked up and then waited for him to talk. “I’m fine. I know you are away but worried.” She smiled gently when her boyfriend apologized for not being there.
They had been dating for a few months now, a fellow classmate in the same major as her. Their relationship happened simply because the
