"Ryeowook!" Kyuhyun yelled, banging his fists against the now solid ground, "Ryeowook! Can you hear me?" He crouched there, heart racing, hoping for an answer. However, the only reply was demonic laughter echoing across the tunnel. Fists clenched, Kyuhyun rose to his feet and glared into the darkness beyond.

"Who are you?" he demanded, surveying the tunnel, "What have you done with Ryeowook?". Maniacal laughter erupted again.

"Don't you worry about him," a deep voice hissed, "You'll never see him again." All of a sudden, vines shot down from above, wrapping around Kyuhyun’s wrists firmly, lifting him up into the air. Hanging from the roof, the man felt another pair of vines curl around his ankles. Like that, Kyuhyun was tied up in mid air, back facing what once was the tunnel entrance. He pulled and tugged at the vines, but they stayed firm, curling tighter around his limbs with each move he made. The demonic voice resounded at his ear again.

"Enjoy yourself," it snarled, "You'll be joining your partner real soon." With that, the voice faded away. Cold sweat ran down Kyuhyun's back. He gazed down at the ground below him as he struggled to free himself, only to wince at the tightening around his flesh.

Just then, out of the corner of his eye, Kyuhyun caught sight of the tunnel floor illuminating in a bright orange. Waves of heat hit his back. With great effort, Kyuhyun managed to turn his head just enough for him to glimpse behind him. His blood turned cold. Flames burst from the stone wall behind him, the blinding tongues of fire the walls as they advanced on him. The searing heat was like a blow to his lungs. Kyuhyun's heart palpitated wildly against his chest. He was going to be burnt alive. Eyes darting back and forth, he searched for an escape from the death trap. His gaze landed on the dagger fastened in its sheave on his right arm. His eyes lit up. Seizing it between his teeth, he tightened his jaws as he brought the blade's edge to the vine. The heat was growing more intense. The wall of flames was close. Kyuhyun clenched his jaw as he sawed back and forth, the vine slowly breaking away. With a snap from the vine, his hand was freed.
