When Kyungsoo walked down the stairs the next day, he found the rest of the house empty except for his two mischievous best friends. It didn't help that he woke up to an empty bed as well.

"Baek? Jongdae? Where are the rest?"

"You mean where's Kai? Bacon already told me about your little crush on Kai!"

Ignoring the affronted "Baekhyun, Baekhyun my name is Baekhyun!! I'm not some food people like to eat!", Kyungsoo replied,"Bacon, you told Jongdae already?! I told you I don't like Kai that way!"

"I said my name is not a food!"

"Well, you are Chanyeol's favourite delicacy after all," Jongdae joked while wiggling his eyebrows.

"Hmm, that's true," mused Baekhyun thoughtfully.

“Ew, I didn’t need to know that!” Kyungsoo shot out disdainfully.

“Now, now, Soo, don’t be jealous, maybe you’d be Kai’s soon!” Baekhyun said only half-jokingly.

Jongdae snickered from the sidelines while Kyungsoo’s face turned red.

“But really, Soo what do you feel about Kai?” Jongdae prompted seriously. He knew Kai had never warmed up to anyone as fast as he had to Kyungsoo and thought that maybe someone could finally melt his (ice cold) heart. Maybe Kai can finally get his happiness that he deserves and stop blaming himself.
