~~2 Years Later~~

Seolhyun was walking out of her university with the regular squad, a wide smile on her face. Ever since Hyejeong passed, she decided to change her life completely. She started being nice to people, made many friends, and even got into her dream university, but not once has she dated anyone else besides Hyejeong, not even Jingoo. It's not like people didn't try to chase her(even trying to court her occasionally), it was just that she never accepted anyone. Her heart was completely set for Hyejeong and she couldn't change that no matter how hard she tried.

Anyway, she was walking out the university with the regular squad, talking about Christmas coming up soon. 

"What are guys doing for Christmas?" Mina asks while snuggling close to her lover, Yuna

"Me and Choa are going to visit our parents, they told us they're gonna throw a big party for our engagement or something." Jimin says, linking arms with Choa and smiling like an idiot

"Chanmi and I are visiting the beach for a while." Youkyoung adds, walking hand and hand with Chanmi 

"Me and Yuna are gonna spend some good old quality time with each other." Mina says, her face beaming with delight 

"What about you Seol?" Yuna asks, concerned about the oddly quiet friend

"Ah...I-I'll probably spend the day with my parents chillin at home, you know the usual..." Seolhyun lies

The truth was, her parents have already left on vacation yesterday and weren't coming back till new year. She was gonna be alone on Christmas... Again...

"Ok Seol, but if you need company just call us, we're here for you ok?" Mina comforts, because she knows how painful it was for Seolhyun since Hyejeong passed. 

Seolhyun nods in response and she says her goodbyes as they get nearer to her house. Seolhyun quickly opens her door and goes inside, avoiding the chilly weather. She heads to the basement, which hasn't been used in years. Flicking on the light, Seolhyun observers the room. Dust lingering here and there, a floor that needs to be mopped, and mirrors with a couple of spiderwebs. She decides to clean up the room and give dancing another shot, another thing she hasn't done in years. She plugs in the small speaker and music starts playing and who would have thought, 

It was BO$$ by Fifth Harmony. 

Seolhyun pulls out the chair and quickly changes she starts, but ends up falling to the ground overwhelmed with tears. She just couldn't take it, this song held too many good memories of her and Hyejeong... She let the song flow as the memories came to her like a river...

~~Flashback~~

Once Seolhyun catches her breath she sits up and stares at Hyejeong.

"Did you like it?" Seolhyun says, with a smirk seeing the blush on Hyejeong's face

"Y-Yeah..." Hyejeong coughs out awkwardly 

She walks up to Seolhyun and helps her up and immediately attacks her lips. Seolhyun lets it happen and kisses her back. 

~~End of Flashback~~

The song comes to an end and Seolhyun lays on the ground, tears still flowing. 

"W-Why... Hye... Hyejeong... Please... Come back..." Seolhyun says in between sobs 

~~Christmas Day~~

Seolhyun was staring at the snow from the window inside her house with a cup of coffee, dressed warmly. She decides to stay inside, because what's the use in going outside just to be jealous of other couples? 

She snuggles up on the couch and watches a movie. Just when the movie is about to end, the doorbell rings. Curious, Seolhyun walks up to answer it and is met with... A small box? No not a regular box, it had a nice red and green ribbon on it, Christmas spirit huh? 

Seolhyun took the small box and went back inside. She sat back on the couch and opened the box. It contained a small note, Seolhyun slowly opened the note. 

Dear Seolhyun, 

Please meet me at the rooftop of your old high school at 8:00...

Seolhyun read the single line over and over trying to figure out who it was. She finally figured that it was just her friends throwing a surprise party or something, so she decided to go. It was 7:00 at the time, so she took a quick shower, bundled up in warm clothes, and headed out toward her high school. 

~~At the High School~~

Seolhyun stood in front of the school gate and glanced at the clock, 8:00, perfect timing. Seolhyun immediately headed up the stairs to the roof, her heart pounding with anticipation and excitement. She opened the rooftop door and was met with...

Snow?

Seolhyun walked to the center of the roof and suddenly felt someone hug her from behind.

Just as she was going to punch the person, she saw a couple strands of brown hair fall in front of her face. 

 No...

"Seolhyun..." The person called

I-It can't be...

Seolhyun slowly turned around and saw a crying...

"Hyejeong..." Seolhyun called, happy tears forming in her eyes

Hyejeong nods and smiles.

"It's me Seolhyun, I've missed you..." Hyejeong says, tears flowing out

Seolhyun tackles Hyejeong and hugs her tightly, both of their tears uncontrollably flowing out. Seolhyun can't believe it, Hyejeong, her Hyejeong, is alive and well. After about a good 30 minutes of holding and crying with each other, they eventually separate and give each other a sweet lasting kiss. Hyejeong holds Seolhyun's hands lovingly and leads her to a nearby cafe to explain everything. 

And that's exactly what Hyejeong does. She explains everything from the fake death to the threat, and even her experiences in America. Seolhyun listens quietly, completely overjoyed at the fact that Hyejeong is alive and back. 

"I'm sorry Seol..." Hyejeong suddenly apologizes 

"Why?" Seolhyun asks, looking at her curiously 

"I-I broke our promise..." Hyejeong says, hanging her head low and staring down at her coffee

Seolhyun smiles, and lifts up Hyejeongs face

"It's ok Hyejeong." Seolhyun says lovingly 

"But why would it be ok?" Hyejeong asks, clearly expecting a different reaction 

"It's ok, because it's you. Before I knew I loved you, my heart already trusted you. I don't know why but I always felt an attraction to you. You've already proved your love for me in so many ways, I can't thank you enough, so those promises aren't needed anymore. All I need to know your alive and well, that's enough for me, even if... Even if you decided to leave me for someone else, I would be ok with it, because it's what you want... Since you've been gone, my love for you has only grown stronger. I love you Hyejeong." Seolhyun explains, putting her whole heart into those words. 

"I love you too Seolhyun."

Trust. Who knew it could mean so much?
