Hyukjae's eyes widened in fear as he stared at the man that had once been his boyfriend appearing from behind the gates.

Donghae's fragile, protean love had finally received its last blow in the years they had been separated. He could see it in his eyes- those eyes that once planted hope into Hyukjae's heart were now b with apprehension. As if he was scared that Hyukjae would hurt him. 

But... he was right. Being with a man would completely destroy them, especially when they were both idols, and trapped in their homophobic environment. 

Finally together, their shared dreams extinguished.
