YG seeks for confident people. Hold your head up, Crystalbel. Don't make yourself look like a coward. Tilting my chin up, it only made me more anxious. I could now include everyone in the room in my vision. I had to try very, very hard not to constantly look at GD.
"You are 1 of the 20 contestants that we've selected. In the following days, months, or year, you are going to train harder than ever" Taeyang translated from what YG said into English, since I couldn't understand Korean.
"- Because we are eliminating another 5 contestants."
My eyes widened in surprise and shock. I didn't know there would be rounds of challenges and competitions.
"Don't need to worry, the judgements will be decided carefully and wisely." 영배 (Youngbae) quickly added when he saw the sudden change of my expression.
"There would be a fixed schedule from tomorrow onwards, and you are going to obey it. No changes will be made to the schedule unless further notice." said JiYong. "There will not be any contract to be signed yet. Not until you've passed the challenges and become one confirmed YG dancer." he added coolly.
The G-Dragon under the stage is different from the one on stage. The JiYong under the stage is cooler, sharper and.. more attractive.
My heart raced fast as I acknowledged that he was talking to me. It seemed impossible to any fangirl in this world, that their idol would talk to them.
Calm down. Inhale. Exhale. Inhale. Exhale. This is not the time. I told myself.
"Okay," I said, keeping my excitement down so that I couldn't blush as easily.
"Here's the key to your dorm. You're sharing a dorm with other 2 trainees." YG said, handing me the key. "It's 2 block away from the training building."
"Thank you," I replied.
Suddenly, Dara asked, "We are having a celebration with the selected dancer trainees tonight. You wanna join us? It's not far."
Thinking about the things that I haven't organized, "Thanks for the invitation, but I can't make it. I still have tonnes of things to do." I said it with a smile.
Turning around, reaching for the door knob, TOP 오빠 (oppa) said, "Are you sure that you don't want to come with us?" He said it like it's impossible for any person to decline the invitation.
"Yea I'm sure. Thanks again." I ended the conversation with a smile before exiting the room.
On my way back to the dorm, I received an email from YG. It's my schedule for the next months or year. It said that I would have Korean and English lessons from 8AM to 12PM, a lunch break, then resume the day with dance practices from 1.30PM till 7PM with several breaks in between. After that, I could do whatever that I'd like to. I would have to obey the timetable for weekdays and Saturdays. Well, at least I have a day off.
After getting my boxes and luggages into the dorm, I instantly slumped on a nearby chair.
The dorm was not big. It consisted of a single size bed, a double decker bed, three small closets, one study desk, a mini fridge, an air-conditioner and a shower room. It's not that bad after all.
"안녕하세요? (Hello?)"
Jumped, I turned to my back. And there stood a very pretty Korean girl. She looked very much like Krystal from f(x), from the eyes and the way she smiles. Even without makeup she looked amazing.
"안녕하세요! (Hello!)" I replied, sounding as enthusiastic as she was. "저는 Crystalbel 입니다, 21세 입니다. 잘부탁드립니다. (I'm Crystalbel, and I'm 21. Nice to meet you.)" showing off the only Korean speaking skills I had learned before I came to Korea.
"아~ 전 미나 이에요, 22세 이에요. 나 언니 불러. (I'm Minah and I'm 22. You can call me sister.)" she added. "Where do you come from?"
"I come from Malaysia..6 hours flight from here. Hehe."
Then we had a small conversation about ourselves and how we got to the same place as we were now. I could see that she has a bubbly personality and is most of the time happy. She seemed like a nice person. And from what I'd known, she has a boyfriend.
Her daily schedule was the same as mine, just that she would be having more of the English classes than Korean classes. So that when she has problem with English she could find me and if I have problems with Korean language I could seek help from her. I hope we could become bestfriends.
Minah said she has things to do, so she went out. After organizing and arranging my shirts and stuffs, I decided to take a short nap.
It's already 8PM when I woke up. I planned to buy books and the some shirts since I didn't bring enough shirts for even a month. And it's also a good idea to take a look at the training place and the learning centre so that I wouldn't be lost tomorrow morning. Maybe I should see where they're celebrating too.
After changing into a more suitable outfit, I went out.
While shopping and eating and walking down the streets, I spotted the YG Training Building. It wasn't as 'individual' or outstanding compared to the YG Building. It only has 4 floors, unlike YG official building which has had 6 floors.
Walking further down the street, I spotted the learning centre. It wasn't as outstanding either, it looked more like a tuition centre. But it looked grand. So I guessed it would be no big deal.
After two hour from coming out of my dorm, I decided to go back. The night was starry and the air was crisp, it felt good. On my way back, I came across a lot of pubs and clubs. I saw a person rushed out of the pub in the corner of my eyes, he looked desperate. Then, he went back into the pub seconds later. I continued made my way back to the dorm.
Reaching the dorm, the third trainee already arrived, sleeping on the single bed. She looked Korean.
미나 (Minah) had not arrived yet. Sleepy, I called my parents goodnight and slept ahead.
미나's (Minah's) POV
From the short chat talk I had with her, I've learned that she's called Crystalbel and was 21 years old - one year younger than me.
Crystalbel's from Malaysia and was single. But that wouldn't bother her much longer because she look so dang beautiful. Especially her eyes and eyebrows, those are so sharp. If you look closely, you could see that she has a tiny little mold on her left cheek bone, it sort of gives her a character. She has a nice figure and pretty height as well.
She seemed like a optimistic person, which is the most important thing I seek in friends. She's not all graceful though, a little bit boyish and clumsy, just a little bit. Dresses and high heels are definitely not her style. That actually made her looked cuter. I hope we become best friends.
GDragon's POV
It's only the second can of beer I had, and I was bored. Everything seemed so lifeless even with the noise from the too loud music and people's chattering.
Youngbae was drinking in one corner, TOP and Bommie were drinking and talking to each other. For the rest of the people, they were talking and getting to know the trainees.
"Why aren't you joining us?" CL asked me. She just recently had a short break from the making of her debut in the US.
"Ah.. I'm fine."
It's suffocating in here, I need some fresh air. I went out of pub. The air was crisp and refreshing. I shouldn't be drinking in a club when the weather was so good, I thought.
I spotted a figure walked passed the celebration place. She looked familiar from the side.
Oh.
I wanted to step up and talk to her, so bad, but I couldn't. Not now, not when paparazzis were peeking with cameras in their hands. I hesitated, and decided not to. Then I just stood there, watching her fading into the darkness.
A tap on my shoulder from behind my back. "Are you fine?" It was Dara.
"Ha.. Yea I'm fine." I said. "Let's go in." We walked back into the celebration.
When could I ever see her again?
