Lunch
Toxicseven;
“You’re late, again!”
Baekhyun laughs sheepishly as he joins Min Jun, Min Gi, and Chanyeol at the table of the rotisserie.
“Min Gi’s already ordered everything,” Chanyeol says. He exchanges a glance with his fiancee. Their wedding is in the fall of that year.
“So,” Min Gi says, “how has everyone been doing?”
“Well, Baekhyun has been overworking himself, as per usual,” Min Jun says.
Baekhyun is a lawyer, often staying up past three am working on his cases. Min Jun hates it, because as his best friend, she always has to go to his apartment in the morning to wake him up. He would be so out of it that even the ringing of his phone wouldn’t be enough to lull him from his slumber.
“And Min Jun is still dealing with crazy people,” Baekhyun counters.
Min Gi shakes her head.
“How can you like that line of work? Don’t those people scare you?” She asks.
“No, not if you’re educated about them.”
“It can’t be good for your mental stability,” Chanyeol mutters.
“That’s sort of the whole point of psychiatry,” Min Jun snaps.
