Min Jun’s fingers fly up to graze the small silver pendant that hung from her neck: a gift from Sehun, her boyfriend of 3 weeks.
“Thanks,” she mutters.
Kyungsoo smiles, but it doesn't reach his eyes.
“Who’s it from?” He asks.
Min Jun hesitates. The less he knows about her personally the better.
“That's none of your concern,” she says evenly.
“It must be from your significant other, yes?”
Min Jun doesn't answer. Kyungsoo laughs.
“How long have you been dating?”
“I told you that's none of your--”
“I bet it hasn't been too long, right? Have you noticed, Minnie, that you've become more feminine within the past few weeks? You're wearing perfume. Makeup. Jewelry. Floral. All giveaways that you're starting to date someone.”
Min Jun leans back on her chair and crosses her arms. She closes her eyes for a moment and opens them again.
“I can tell that you're not bothered by being imprisoned in small, dark places,” she says. “Normally people would have to adapt. They become thin, sallow, gaunt.”
