Bonus Chapter #5 :
"Happy Halloween!"

‘Guys, come on! Put the pumpkins over there and the skeletons over there!’

The 13 teenagers are now franctically running around the cafe, putting up scary, halloween decorations. Thought it was already past midnight, that doesn’t stop any of them from making the cafe a perfect destination to give everyone some halloween-y feels. 

Already in his priest costume, Jisoo walks around calmly, bible stuck to his hand as he lectures the kids every now and then; ignoring Seungkwan’s ‘it’s not even Halloween- okay, technically it is, but can you just act like a normal person?!’, Jisoo continues trudding around (though we all know he’d end up by Junghan’s side after 5 minutes.)

In the corner of the room stands Soonyoung, groggily putting up the fairy lights and by his side stands an eager Seokmin, sticking fake spider webs up onto the wall.

‘I don’t get it… Why’s everyone so excited, it’s just Halloween-‘

‘Duuuuuuuude.’ Seokmin exclaims, disbelief colouring his voice.

‘What? It’s not like we’ve never experienced Halloween before-‘

‘But it’s Halloween!’ Seokmin frowns, poking his boyfriend (it took awhile for them to actually reveal their relationship, but hey, Seokmin’s not complaining.) ‘C’mon, it’s the one day in the year where we can dress up as whatever we want to be!’

‘But-‘

‘Shush, don’t ruin my Halloween vibe.’

Soonyoung lets out a sigh, humming a small ‘fine’ as he continues with his work. He had always enjoy Halloween; trick or treating is literally the best thing for Soonyoung, because come on, it’s free food! It’s just that Soonyoung’s brain had gone dry and coming up with the most witty costumer is killing him. After a whole month of thinking, Soonyoung had decided to just give up on his costume this year.

As silence fills their thoughts (well, at least silence in their little corner because if the whole cafe was actually silent, the sky must be falling), Soonyoung hums a song quietly, getting use to the peacefulness-

‘Hyung!’

‘Holy shi-‘ Soonyoung yelps, hand shooting up to his chest and all he wants to do now is scolds Seokmin for surprising him.

‘You’re sad ‘cause you don’t have a costume, right?’ Seokmin asks, all overly excited as he always is as he waves the fake spider webs in front of Soonyoung’s face. Without even letting the older answer, Seokmin continues, ‘I have a great idea!’

Oh god no-

‘Be Ron from Harry Potter!’

Wha-

‘I’m being Harry Potter, so you can be Ron!’

Soonyoung remains quiet, a quarter of him wanting to tell Seokmin that it’s a stupid idea and that he doesn’t even like Harry Potter. But three quarter of Soonyoung knows he doesn’t have the heart to say anything bad, not when Seokmin’s face is washed over with hope and excitement.

‘Come on, we can show everyone that we’re together-’ Seokmin hops a little in his spot, smile reaching from ear to ear.

Not until he actually realizes what he just said.

‘W-Wait, I mean-‘

‘Fine, let’s be Harry Potter and Ron together then~’ Soonyoung turns to face his boyfriend, flashing a smile as he quickly returns to work, trying to hide his tinted pink cheeks.

Chuckling to himself, Seokmin hums a small ‘success!’ as he ruffles the older’s hair, earning a small ‘stopppp, we’re working!’.

Ah, this Halloween’s going to be awesome~

Halloween went by in a breeze; all the boys were dressed up as different character ranging from movies like Twilight to anime, and to realistic characters like Jisoo the priest and Chan the little toddler. 

Just like everyday, the cafe was hectic. Though today, their customers came in forms of zombies, ghosts, animals and even little superheros. With the cafe filled to the max, at the end of the day, the boys were all drained from any energy they had.

‘Guys, let’s just all go back to my place tonight.’ Seungcheol announces as the 13 boys make their way out of the cafe, arm hanging onto Jihoon’s neck. ‘Let’s spend some family time together.’

‘Pffft, I wouldn’t want to be related to you~’ Jihoon jokes, sticking out his tongue at the other as the 11 boys laugh in the background.

‘Gosh, when are these two gonna stop with their love-hate relationship?!’ Soonyoung comments, snickering at his friends.

‘Uh, we should be worried if they ever stop doing that.’ Seokmin replies, walking by his boyfriend. ‘You know, I heard these two girls calling us cute today.’

‘W-We’re always cute, so how is that even a surprise?’ Soonyoung chukles, trying to keep his calm; he’d always been scared of how society would accept them, because let’s be honest here, Korea isn’t exactly the most open place to anything other than the normality.

‘Tsk, you know what I mean~’ Seokmin can’t help but smile at his boyfriend’s behaviour, intertwining their fingers together reassuringly. ‘And to be honest, we do make a pretty cute Potter and Ron.’

Letting out a relief sigh when he feels Seokmin fingers against his own, Soonyoung smiles back as he nods in agreement, his cheeky side coming back at full swing.

‘Nah, it’s just me that makes a cute Ron~’

Seokmin fake gasps, pretending to be hurt as he furrows his eyebrows.

‘Hey hey, I’m the one who came up with the idea! Don’t diss me!’ Seokmin whines.

‘Tsk, but I am cute.’ Soonyoung giggles, sticking his tongue out. ‘What, it’s not like you can say that I’m not, right?’

‘Oi!’ Soonyoung exclaims, slapping Seokmin’s arm as disbelief washes over his face because what the hell, his boyfriend better thinks he’s cute.

‘I’m just kidding!’ Seokmin yelps, laughing as he holds onto his arm. ‘You are, you are, okay? You’re the cutest!’

‘I better be-‘

‘BOO!’

‘HolY sHi-‘

With their conversation being interrupted and the streets being eerily quiet at midnight, the two teenagers couldn’t help but think of the worst when they were scared for their lives. Without even turning back to see the culprit, the two had sprinted forwards to the direction of Seungcheol’s house, too busy screaming their heads off to hear the other’s laughter.

‘Man, scaring these two will never get old~’
