During our sophomore year there was a new student that came to our school. She became our classmate in most of our classes. Her name was Im Yoona.

Yoona became good and close friends very fast with the most popular girl on campus, Kim Taeyeong. They were both beautiful but in different ways.  Taeyeong  had a sophisticated and classic beauty to her while Yoona was innocent and pure. A lot of boys followed them around.

Not only were Taeyeong and Yoona beauties, they were smart and kind too. I felt a little intimidated by both of them although I also had brains and on the shy side. I think that boys still thought I was snobby when all I was was timid and didn't really talk unless someone talked to me first. The only exceptions would be Yoo Bi and sometimes Jae Rim, Ha Neul and Joon Ki.

Taeyeong had a lot of suitors whom were all trying to get her to go out with them but she seemed serious about trying to study so when Yoona came it was a great relief for her to have someone to study with. When the school rankings got announced, it was no surprise that Taeyeong was number one while Yoona was number two. Yoo Bi, Jae Rim, Ha Neul, Joon Ki and myself also ranked among the top 30 so we were a bunch of smart kids.
