Kim Jongin "I've never met someone who could make my heart fall and rise so rapidly within a matter of seconds until I met her."   Location: EXO's Dorm   “I’m already home. Sorry for the sudden change of plans.” Jongin said into the phone with Sehun on the other side. “I’m not feeling well. Could you buy groceries? Are you with the manager right now?” Jongin waited for Sehun’s reply that thankfully, did not seem bothered or mad that he did not meet up with him outside as they had planned earlier. He stopped by the door listening to Sehun, nodding his head as he took in what Sehun said. “Yeah, no worries. See you at home.” Jongin kept his phone, pressing the passcode of the door into the lock and pushed it wide open. It opened and what greeted him were loud sounds of Baekhyun and Chanyeol who were really engrossed with the video game that they were almost on each others laps. Baekhyun had his legs on Chanyeol, his tongue stuck out of his mouth as his fingers worked on the buttons frantically. The boy squinted at the monitor. Chanyeol, on the other hand, had his eyes grow bigger every second as Baekhun’s character in the video showed more signs of winning. Jongin watched them, his eyes trained on them for awhile and before he knew it, they jumped up and yelled like major maniacs when both their characters died at the same time resulting to a tie. “AHHHHHH!” Baekhyun yacked, doing a head whip while Chanyeol covered his face with his hands.   Jongin walked past them, Baekhyun noticing him. The small boy yelled out Jongin’s name, making Jongin turn. “How was skateboarding with Sehun today?” “I didn’t go.” Jongin answered, opening the refrigerator and grabbing a bottle of cold water. “I told Sehun to buy groceries. He’s with the manager.” “Why didn’t you? You seemed pretty fine when I called you.” Baekhyun’s eyes narrowed at Jongin. It was weird for Jonging to change plans. He was one who usually liked staying out with Sehun, them being close to each other, and he had never come home early just because he felt like it. He would usually wait for Sehun and they would come home together. Being members, they took notice of such small things.
“I’m fine. I had a bad stomachache so I just changed my mind.” Jongin turned away as he lied, seeing Kyungsoo and Suho doing something by the kitchen. Baekhyun just shrugged, taking the excuse and going back to sitting down just to ask Chanyeol for another round to which Chanyeol agreed.   “We’re cooking with the left over ingredients so it won’t go to waste.” Kyungsoo said, seeing Jongin stand there with his glass of water. “You hungry?” “Nah.” “That’s weird. You never turn down my food.” Kyungsoo said simply, raising an eye at Jongin. Jongin smiled, shaking his head and lied again. “Stomach ache.” “You okay? We have painkillers in the medicine cabinet.” Suho came by him, raising an eyebrow at Jongin. The tanned boy just shook his head and downed the glass of water. “It’s okay. I think I’ll just sleep.”   Jongin turned away, heading over to his room. Baekhyun and Chanyeol called out for him to play with them but he did not answer, merely going into his room and closing the door without locking it. Baekhyun and Chanyeol looked at each other, their eyes going to Kyungsoo who also had a knowing look on his face. “Maybe Jongin is PMS-ing.” Baekhyun whispered to Chanyeol who let out a small smile.  Kyungsoo nudged Suho. Suho blinked, knowing that he would have to talk to his team member.   Meanwhile, Jongin sat on the bed, a hand reaching up to touch his lips. He felt them burn when he kissed her, it wasn’t something that he had felt ever before. Yes, he had kissed a couple of girls. He wasn’t that innocent as he deemed to be, but he also did not have much experience with feeling this emotional. Was he too rough on her? What if he scared her away? Jongin grabbed his phone, opening the message box just to see her name. Her texts were always one worded. What if she didn’t like him? Then again, she had kissed him back so heatedly- so forcefully that he doubted that she hated him. He bit his lip, pressing onto the message before typing:   Are your lips okay?   He pressed send immediately, later regretting it. He knew he had kissed her a bit too roughly, even biting down on her and tugging on her lips from time to time but hormones got better of him. Jongin closed his eyes, throwing his phone onto the bedsheet when the door opened and Suho came in. The leader saw Jongin sitting on the bed. Suho walked in, closing the door behind him. “You’ve been rather off these days.” He said calmly, going to the bed and sitting down on it. It was normal for them to talk like this. To Suho, their personal affairs were his affairs and he cared for them like his sons. He watched Jongin who nodded. Jongin could not lie, he was acting off- he had to admit. But he also wasn’t planning to tell them that he kissed a girl from the duo that was running against EXO. “I feel suffocated these days.” Jongin said, looking down. “I can’t do what I want to do and all that.” That was true for Jongin, he did feel suffocated. Because when he met her, he wanted to see her and talk to her yet the fact that he was an idol made it harder for him. He had to stalk her like a creep, watch movies and lie to s and managers just so he can see her.   “I used to feel that way.” Suho began and Jongin looked up at him. “We all feel it somewhere in our career. But we’re idols and the fact that we’re idols means we have to sacrifice a lot of things and one of those things include our privacy.
