Suho could hear Chanyeol's heavy steps entering the library.

“Care for a drink?” He motioned to the glass in his hand.

“Where have you been hiding that?” Chanyeol chuckled, reaching out gratefully.

“I’ve been stashing it for tough times; I think the present qualifies. Is Mira sleeping?"

Chanyeol sipped his drink and slumped down in a chair.

"Mmhmm, poor girl. I told her that she can rest here until we determine that it's safe for her to go home."

"That's fine, we've plenty of room."

“Suho? There’s something about that creature today that troubles me."

"Oh?"

"I couldn't have been mistaken, but I sense that you noticed it too. Even as that the thing was moving amongst us, it smelled of decay. Nothing that lives has an odor like that.”

He quickly tossed back the rest of his drink.

"It smelled like death itself."
