Noun

1. a similar confection, usually soft and spongy, made from gum arabic or gelatin, sugar, corn syrup, and flavoring.

“HYUUUUUNGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!” was heard all throughout Infinite’s dorm making all the members stop whatever they were doing in order to look at the doorway to the kitchen were the shout originated.

“Was that Woo Hyun-hyung?” asked Sung Yeol.

“GYU-HYUNG!!!” Woo Hyun shouted again as he emerged from the kitchen. “It’s EMPTY!!”

“What’s empty?” the leader asked confused at what the other was talking about.

“This!” cried the main vocal as he held up a clear empty jar. Seeing the empty jar made Sung Gyu’s little hamster eyes grow as big as they can get.

“But I just filled that up last week!” exclaimed Sung Gyu as he ran over to Woo Hyun and grabbed the jar. “How could it be empty this fast!”

“Jongie must have stuffed himself with it when he failed his last math quiz!” Woo Hyun declared.

Dong Woo, Hoya, Sung Yeol and Myung Soo just stared at their panicking members. Why the hell were they creating such a fuss over a jar? Dong Woo, being the curious cat, asked the two what occuoied the jar before.

“In this jar,” started Woo Hyun while pointing at the jar. “Were lemon candies hyung. LE.MON.CAN.DIES!!!”

With Woo Hyun’s simple explanation came three more panicking members. Everyone was panicking by now except for Myung Soo, he couldn’t understand what was so scary about an empty lemon candy jar.

“We have to buy more now!” Sung Gyu said panicking.

 “But Sung Jong might come home any minute.” Woo Hyun pointed out.

“Maybe he won’t notice!” offered Don Woo.

“What do you mean he won’t notice?!?” cried Hoya. “The first thing he does when he gets home from school is eat one of those!”

“Then we should buy more NOW!” exclaimed Sung Yeol.

By this time Myung Soo was kind of irritated not knowing was going on especially cause his beloved Sung Jong was involved. He then went over to Woo Hyun so that he could calm the older down enough to answer his questions clearly.

“What’s so horrifying about the lemon candies hyung?” asked the visual making everyone look at him as if he was the one panicking this whole time.

“What’s so horrifying about the lemon candies?!?!” exclaimed Woo Hyun as he shook the innocent dongsaeng. “Don’t you remember the last time we ran out of those sweet yellow candies!”

“Chill hyung!” cried Hoya as released Myung Soo from Woo Hyun’s grasp. “He was in Japan that time remember.”

“Oh yeah…” was all Woo Hyun said as he calmed down.

“So,” started Myung Soo as soon as he saw that everyone was calm. “What happened the last time we ran out of lemon candies?”

“It was a few months ago while you were in Japan L…” started Sung Gyu.

Flashback

Infinite, minus L who was in Japan filming ‘Jiu’, was having a quiet afternoon. It was quiet until Sung Jong popped out of the kitchen holding an empty jar with two hands and having the most adorable hurt puppy look anyone has ever seen. The look instantly made the other members circle around the maknae.

“Hyung….” whimpered Sung Jong while looking inside the jar and then to the person in front of him, who happened to be Leader Gyu. “It’s empty.”

“What’s empty Jongie?” asked the leader soothingly.

“My lemon candy jar,” sniffed the maknae tears were daring to fall from his eyes. “They’re all gone hyung.”

His hyungs casted him a dumbstruck look because they were amazed at how such trivial things could put their maknae to tears.

“Don’t worry Jongie,” cooed Sung Gyu as he rested an arm on top of the youngest shoulder. “We’ll buy lots more lemon candy at next week’s grocery shopping.”

At this sentence Sung Jong let the tears fall willingly as he wailed to his hyungs. “I don’t wanna wait next week hyung!” cried the maknae. “Do you want me to die hyung! Do you not love me anymore?!?”

“It’s not that we don’t love you Jongie.” Woo Hyun interjected but he wasn’t heard through Sung Jong sobs and cries.

Not bearing the younger’s cries anymore Sung Gyu spoke up throughout the noise to say: “Fine Sung Jong! We’ll buy your precious lemon candies now, so just please stop crying.” pleaded the leader. His lost of dignity was not in vain though because at that moment Sung Jong stopped crying.

“Really hyung?” Sung Jong said with hopeful puppy eyes.

“Yes Jongie. Really.” sighed Sung Gyu. “Just stay patiently in your room while me and Dong Woo go out and buy you candies.”

“Uwah!” cried Sung Jong as he glomped his hyung. “Thank you hyung!” he then skipped happily into his room.

The rest of Infinite synchronizingly made a mental note to never let the lemon candy jar be empty EVER again.

End of Flashback

“Something like that happened?!?” Myung Soo said letting go of his poker face.

“Yes and it’s going to happen again if we don’t do something fast!” cried Sung Yeol.

“Dong Woo!” cried Sung Gyu. “Borrow manager-hyung’s car keys! Maybe if we drive to the candy store real fast we could get back before Jongie comes home from school.”

“Good idea hyung!” replied Dong Woo as he made his way to the door to go to their manager.

But as soon as he opened the door their lovable maknae was already making his way down the road to their dorm. Dong Woo instinctly shut the door with a bang!

“Jongie’s down the road!” announced Dong Woo sending his band mates into a frenzy.

“We have to stall him!” suggested Hoya. He then grabbed Myung Soo by the shoulder and said to him: “YOU stall him!”

“Why me?!?”

“You’re his favorite hyung!” explained Woo Hyun “Which is why he won’t get angry at whatever you do!”

“So go!” Hoya said while pushing Myung Soo out the door. “We’ll text you if you could go back already!”

“At least give me some shoes!” cried Myung Soo and a pair of sneakers were thrown to him and he was shoved out the door.

“What are you doing out here hyung?” a soft voice beside Myung Soo suddenly said. He then turned to see their maknae come up the stairs but before Sung Jong could go any farther Myung Soo stopped him in his tracks.

“Wait Jongie!” cried Myung Soo as he went to the younger.

“What is it hyung?”

“I… uh…” Myung Soo was lost for excuse. “I… need you to… um… come with me to the… shop?”

“Shop?” asked Sung Jong who tilted his head cutely in confusion.

“Yeah, you know… the one down the street…” said Myung Soo shakily.

“You mean the new candy shop that opened up last week.” said Sung Jong who was now filled with excitement.

“Yeah…” the elder said a bit unsure.

“Then let’s go hyung!” cried Sung Jong happily as he latched his arm around Myung Soo’s.

When they got to the candy shop Myung Soo couldn’t help but smile at the younger ones antics. Sung Jong was running around the shop admiring each and every piece of candy there was. Myung Soo almost forgot about the lemon candy shortage in the dorm but the younger unknowingly reminded him.

“Hyung!” cried Sung Jong who was at the counter across the shop. When Myung Soo got to Sung Jong the maknae’s lips was formed into an adorable pout making Myung Soo want to kiss him then and there.

‘ Myung Soo!’ the visual scolded himself. ‘Control your hormones!’

“What’s with the pout Jongie?” asked Myung Soo.

“They’re out of lemon candies hyung!”

“…”

“The old lady said that two young men bought all of their stock a few minutes ago!”

“…”

“She said that one of them had adorable little eyes and the other had such a laughable laugh!”

“…”

“Don’t they sound like Gyu-hyung & Dong Woo-hyung?? Why aren’t you saying anything hyung???”

“Maybe… It’s a coincidence Jongie.” Myung Soo said nervously. ‘Of all the shops they could go!’

“What would I do now hyung?” Sung Jong asked. “They’re all out of lemon candies!”

Sung Jong started to get teary eyed and Sung Gyu’s story suddenly came crashing down Myung Soo. He started to panic and looked left and right for a solution. And then he’s eyes fell on a bowl filled with fluffy white marshmallows.

“Maybe it’s a sign telling you to try other things.” Myung Soo said gaining Sung Jong’s interest.

“Like what hyung?” asked the feminine boy.

“Like marshmallows.” suggested Myung Soo.

“Marshmallows??”

“Yeah marshmallows,” said the Infinite’s visual. “Their soft, fluffy and sweet.”

“It is one of our best sellers.” interjected the old lady at the counter.

“You see.” Myung Soo smiled encouragingly. “Even ahjumma says so.”

“…” this time it was the maknae’s turn to be silent.

“How about we buy a few pieces of marshmallow to satisfy your sweet tooth until we get back to the dorm.” Myung Soo said while giving him an eye smile.

“Fine.” Sung Jong said a little reluctantly. “But I feel like I’m betraying lemon candies.”

While walking home Myung Soo couldn’t help but laugh as Sung Jong popped marshmallows into his mouth one after another.

“What happened to staying loyal to lemon candies??” asked Myung Soo in amusement.

“I can’t help it hyung~” cooed Sung Jong while swallowing another one. “They’re just so sweet~ want one hyung?”

“No, I’m not really fond of sweets.” the elder replied politely.

“That’s a shame hyung.” Sung Jong said as he his lips to get rid of it’s stickiness.

“Although I so like one kind of sweet.” smirked Myung Soo.

“Really hyung? Then why didn’t you buy it at the shop?”

“I don’t need to buy something you already have Sung Jong.” replied Myung Soo.

“Huh?” asked Sung JOng totally confused. He didn’t bring any candies with him to day so how could he have something sweet?

“You don’t know about the little sweet you brought Jongie?” Myung Soo asked feigning shock.

Sung Jong just shook his head like a little puppy.

“Do you want me to show you?”

The maknae nodded instinctively out of curiosity. A second later his sticky lips where covered by Myung Soo’s making his eyes widen in shock and his cheeks burn bright red. Myung Soo ended the kiss by Sung Jong’s bottom lip and smirking at the maknae.

“Thanks for the sweet Jongie.”

"M" is finished which means I finally got to the middle of the alphabet \(^o^)/
