A nice, huge meal together? Or a song that she’d sing for me, or maybe a song that we’d sing together? Or should I ask for something more? Since we made that special promise, I always thought of what to ask for from her. Every day, it changed from one to another but today, when I finally got the chance to ask for my wish, I absolutely don’t know which one to say.

But when I look at Wendy’s sweet smile, I suddenly have this one thought flashing to my mind.

Can I ask for this moment to last forever? Can I ask for her to stay close to me? Can I ask for her heart?

My knees feel weak. I think I just realize that I have fallen for this girl.

“Seunghoon Hyung!”

I blink and turn to the sound of the voice calling my name and soon, Nam Taehyun is already standing next to me at the empty hallway.

“Taehyun-ssi. Hello.” She slightly nods her head and so does Taehyun.

“Oh! Hello, Wendy-ssi. It’s been a while…”

“Oh! You remember my name!”

“Yes… I’m really sorry about the other day. I was feeling a bit unwell.” He fakes a laugh.

“Haha… I’m glad that you finally got my name right.”

But suddenly, it comes to me.

“I pretend not to remember her name. I keep on saying her name wrongly. Is it okay?”

My heart beats faster as I turn to Taehyun. It feels like a brick has just hit my head when I remembered Taehyun’s words not too long ago. What… So the girl that this boy likes is Wendy Son? This Wendy? Really? Out of millions of girls out there, Wendy’s the girl that he likes?

“Mwoya, Hyung… Why’re you making faces like that?”

“Ohkayy, I think I should go. Seunghoon-ssi, see you.”

Snapped, I turn to Wendy as she presses her lips together. With that meaningful look that she’s giving me, I’m sure that she wants us to meet again since our conversation was cut off before. But when? Can we?

“Okay, Wendy-ssi! See you!” Nam Taehyun shouts as her figure slowly walks away from where we are. As I stare at the maknae, shock still hasn’t left me and when I see the way he grins, I’m a hundred percent sure that Wendy’s the girl that he’s been crushing on.

After her figure vanished from view, I quickly pull Taehyun into a headlock and drag him into our waiting room nearby.

“Hyung! It hurts!”

“Yah, is she the girl that you like?” I directly ask as soon as I released him.

“You took my bread, right? Give it back!”

“Answer me first…” I whine.

“Yes! I like her! I think it’s love at first sight when I first saw her at Gayo Daejun last year… She’s pretty right? Hyung, she’s mine okay because I saw her first.”

I can’t smile upon hearing his answer. My legs feel weak again and I drop myself onto the couch inside the waiting room.

“Sorry, Taehyun-ah… I already ate your bread.” I say weakly and show him the plastic wrapper in my hand but he doesn’t throw a tantrum like he always does. Instead, he quickly sits beside me on the sofa.

“But Hyung… Why’re you with Wendy before? What were you talking about?”

“Nothing. She just asked about the poster.” I answer nonchalantly and put the wrapper into my pocket.
