Officer Kyuhyun Cho squinted his eyes at me and I wasn't sure if he thought I was talking nonsense or he was taking what I said seriously. He brought his phone to his ear. "Officer Kwon, I'll leave you in charge of the backstage area. Make sure you get statements from everyone. I'll be at the security room to see if the cameras caught anything relevant."
He glanced at me one more time before adding, "Make sure no one leaves."
With a quick turn of the heel, Senior Officer Cho hastened through the event area and disappeared down the hall. Soon after, a handful of what looked like crime scene investigators in their signature powder blue suits exited the backstage area. Yewon bowed. "Nice to meet you, Miss."
I bowed back, but I was no longer looking at her. My attention shifted to the group of people being interviewed by the uniformed officers. I wondered if any of them saw anything suspicious that could help the police pinpoint the murderer. On second thought, I wonder if the murderer is one of them...
"Yewon-sshi," I smiled at the young girl who was still sniffling. "Your mascara looks smudged..."
"Oh?" Yewon exclaimed. She slid out her phone and examined her face using the front camera. She frowned. "Oh. How embarrassing. I look like a mess."
She looked like she was about to have another outburst when I quickly took out my makeup kit, "I can help with that."

A couple of minutes later, Yewon was comfortably seated on a plastic chair while I danced around her, wiping off the smudges beneath her eyes before finally redoing her makeup.
"Close your eyes," I took out a wet sponge and started to apply a new layer of foundation. "What happe
