*5 Days Later*

Siwon, Heechul and Jonghyun were gathered in a corner table in a bar after a long day at work.  They decided to take the embezzlement case of Jung Enterprise under their investigation. Once Heechul received of the news, he took the initiative to take charge of the case.

“So what do you have so far Heechul?” Jonghyun asked as he took a sip of his beer and leaned forward on the table.

“From all the recent transaction reports and contracts with the other companies working with Jung Enterprise, there only seems to be one company in which I find suspicious.”

“Really?” Siwon took the paper from Heechul’s hands and read the highlighted name on the paper. “Sphinx Industries? Never heard of them.” He looked at his partners with a ‘tell me what you know’ look.

“Sphinx Industries specialize in trading international goods. Although they only have very few partnerships, this company is one of the top leading, alongside Jung Enterprises.” Jonghyun explained and leaned back on his seat. He then sighed. “Does Jessica even know of this company?”

Heechul shrugged. “I don’t know. But what I do know is that this company has a notorious reputation for illegal goods and sponsoring.” Heechul said nonchalantly.

“Sponsoring for what?” Siwon asked. “Charity?” He sarcastically suggested.                     

“Sir!! You can’t go in there! Ms. Kwon is in a meeting right now.” The secretary tried explaining as she held back a struggling man.

“KWON YURI!! YOU BETTER COME OUT!! OR ELSE I WILL COME IN THERE MYSELF!!” the man yelled as she shook off the secretary and began banging on the door.  Each second the hit getting louder and louder. The secretary could only look in terror. She quickly ran to her desk before picking up the phone to call security. “OPEN THE DOOR!!”

“Security. There’s a man here who-” But before she can finish saying anything, a familiar voice stopped her.

“Ms. Lee. There is no need for security.”

“But Ms. Kwon-”

Yuri smiled at the secretary and looked at the man who was staring at her with intense hatred, as if ready to kill her any second. She walked up to the man and smirked.

“Be more civilized Taecyeon. This isn’t a jungle.”

Taecyeon let out a deep growly and quickly held Yuri by her collars. He then turned around and pushed her against her office window.

“MARRIAGE??” He directly asked at the smiling Yuri. “OVER MY DEAD BODY WILL YOU GET JESSICA!!”

Yuri merely laughed at such a threat and looked at Taecyeon with pity. “Aww…is oppa angry?” She taunted.

“KWON YURI!!”

“OK TAECYEON!!” Yuri yelled back in equal annoyance and anger. “I’m not scared of you. Do what you want. But the merger is the best solution. And you know that.” Yuri challenged before roughly yanking Taecyeon’s hands off from her. “If you want to discuss more, let’s do it in the office.”

Taecyeon followed Yuri into her office and didn’t bother about the fact that he slammed the officer door loudly.

“Taecyeon. Instead of being a nuisance while I work, why don’t you go play with Im Yoona?” Yuri suggested as she looked over some documents.

“.” Taecyeon uttered maliciously. “Don’t bring Yoona into this!!”

Yuri laughed aloud and leaned back on her chair casually as she looked right into his eyes. “Taecyeon. You’ve fallen head over heels for that woman haven’t you?”

“I’m not here to talk to you about my personal life. I want you to stop this charade Yuri. I know you are responsible for the embezzlement.” He confidently stated with his fury eyes.

“You have any evidence?” Yuri challenged with a smirk. “Your words won’t do any good.”

Taecyeon took some deep breaths. “I won’t let you get away with this. I promise you.” Just as she was about to turn around, Yuri spoke again.

“You’re a fool if you believe you can scare me.”

“It’s quite weird actually.” Krystal said as she looked at Jessica and Tiffany with a sad expression. “Amber tells me that the breakup was her mistake and that she was sorry. But then suddenly, after talking to her, she denies everything.”

Tiffany and Jessica could only nod in agreement because it wasn’t just Amber that seemed to be acting differently.

“Something is wrong.” Jessica uttered in a matter-of-fact tone. “And I’m not just talking about Amber.”

Krystal looked at her sister with her utmost attention. “What do you mean? Is Sooyoung-”

“Yes.” Jessica cut off her sister as she looked at Krystal then to Tiffany. “On the same night you spoke with Amber, I spoke with Sooyoung too. From then on, she’s been avoiding me.”

“Same here.” Jessica and Krystal looked at Tiffany in surprise.

“Taeyeon too?” The Jung sisters asked simultaneously. “That’s impossible. Why would she do that?”

Tiffany shrugged and sighed. “I don’t know. Our relationship has been good so far, but she’s been avoiding me too.” Tiffany said dejectedly. “It doesn’t make sense.”

“Wait.” Krystal looked at her sister then back at Tiffany. “Why would they do that to you guys? I mean, Amber is strange but Taeyeon and Sooyoung? But then again, all three of them acting the cold and distant at the same time is really suspicious.”

“Hey girls.” JeTiKrys turned around to see Heechul walking toward them with a small smile. “What’s up? Having a girls talk and I wasn’t invited? I’m hurt.” Heechul said with a fake hurt expression.

Tiffany shook her head. “Its nothing.” She then laid down on the bed and looked at the ceiling and let out an exasperated sigh. “Nothing at all.”

“Hm…” Heechul examined his best friends one by one before seeing that something was definitely wrong. “Don’t lie to me. Tell me what the problem is.”

But the women stayed silent. They don’t want to have another person worrying for them since it will just make it harder for them to explain their feelings.

Taeyeon fixed her dress shirt in front of the mirror and glanced at her sisters in the background. “Are you two ready yet?”

“Almost. Just looking over everything once more.” Sooyoung answered, not raising her head up. “What about Amber?”

Heechul rubbed his chin in deep thinking after hearing his friends’ stories. He glanced at them, looked away, glanced at them again, and looked away. He kept repeating his actions until Jessica got annoyed.

“Say something!!” The blonde snapped with a glare.

“Okay. Calm down woman. Geez.” He cowered back a little, putting some space between him and Jessica before speaking. “Why don’t you guys just go meet them?”

“I wish.” Krystal said dejected. “They’re not at the bakery. It has been closed for this past week.”

“What about their apartment?”

Tiffany shook her head. “No luck. Either no one is home or they just don’t want to see us.”

Heechul frowned. “Why don’t I call Amber? Hm?” He suggested with a hopeful smile and looked for Amber’s number in his phone. When he found it, he touched the screen, initiating the call.

“She won’t-” Krystal began to speak but halted once she heard Heechul’s next words.

“Hey Amber.” Heechul said happily into the phone, catching everyone by surprise, especially Krystal who doubt Amber would answer.

“No way!” Krystal mumbled in disbelief. Heechul shushed his friends with his finger.

“Amber. What have you and your sisters been up to?”

“Oh really?” Heechul nodded his head in understanding as he listened to Amber. “Uh-huh. Uh-huh.” As this was going on, the three women in the background anxiously waited in silence for Heechul to end the conversation.

“Okay. See you then.” As soon as he hung up, he was tackled down by Tiffany. “Ow!”

But Tiffany was staring at him in anger as she held onto his collar tightly. “Why did you hang up?!! I wanted to talk to Taeyeon!! You’re dead!!”

Heechul widened his eyes. “No! Listen to- ” But before he could finish, Jessica was on top of him too, holding on to his collar as well. “Jessica! Please not you too!!”

“Why didn’t you let me talk to Sooyoung!!!” Jessica yelled as she shook Heechul back and forth. Heechul was not fighting for his life…from the grasps of his two best friends.

“They’re weren’t there. Amber was alone!!” Heechul argued back, trying to free himself. But in a split second, Jessica and Tiffany were suddenly pushed away and Heechul came face to face with little Jung.

Heechul gulped. “Uh…hi…Krystal.” He nervously smiled.

“WHAT.DID.AMBER. SAY?” Krystal said each word with her icy stare and serious tone, scaring Heechul a bit. In fact, he began to stutter.

“Um..well..I mean…um…she’s ok.”

“Argh! I’m not asking that! What did she tell you?” Krystal made herself a little clearer. Heechul coughed a bit to lessen his nervousness.

“It was hard to hear because I mostly heard a woman’s voice-”

“WHAT?!” Krystal yelled upon hearing that another woman’s voice was heard. “What woman?” She asked in threatening tone.

“I don’t know!” Heechul exclaimed back. “Tiffany get this crazy dwarf off me!!” He pled. Tiffany and Jessica held Krystal by her arms and pulled her back. Took some effort but eventually, Heechul was freed.

“Geez. Never felt so good to be able to see my neck again.” Heechul angrily commented as he checked his neck for any bruises in the mirror. “You three need serious professional help. I highly recommend Dr.Phil or Oprah.”

“HEECHUL!!” All  three yelled, shutting him up right away. He opened his eyes to only see three impatient yet angry woman staring at him intently.

“Okay. Amber just told me that she’ll meet me later.”

“Later? Exactly when? And is that woman going to be with her?” Krystal demanded to know. There is no way she’s going to let another woman steal Amber away from her. Better not be that plastic surgery woman from the hospital!!

“I don’t know! Geez. She just said later and told me she’ll call me back. Okay?!” Heechul replied exasperatedly. “I’m out! So just wait!” And with those last words, Heechul left the room, before he ends dying in the hands of Krystal Jung.

“I guess we’ll just have to wait until later. Whenever that is.” Tiffany tiredly stated and laid down on Krystal’s bed. “I hate this. I’m going to punish Taeyeon when I see her again. How dare she just ignore me and not contact me at all?”

Jessica joined Tiffany on the bed and laid beside her. “Same here. I’m going to throw her bag of midnight snacks away. And on top of that, I’ll add some more horrible punishments.”

“You guys are ridiculous.” Krystal added and laid down on Tiffany’s left side. “But in this case, I’m going to give Amber a piece of my mind. And she will not like it one bit.” She said in a cold tone.

“Is everything alright Amber-shi?”

Amber turned to look at the woman across from her and flashed a smile. “Everything is fine. Just a friend.” Amber’s words seemed to have relieved the woman of any worries.

“That’s good. I’m going to check on my father now.” The woman returned the smile before disappearing into Sooyoung’s room. Amber nodded and as soon as the woman disappeared from sight, Amber her phone again.

Amber smiled bitterly upon seeing her phone wallpaper. It was a picture of her and Krystal. It was taken at a café much to Krystal’s dismay.  And the one that Amber had was taken by surprise, but it was Amber’s favorite since it showed Amber kissing the cheeks of a un-suspecting Krystal. It was a heartwarming picture even though Krystal ended not talking to her for the rest of the date. But Amber knew Krystal secretly liked it since she was blushing.

“Amber.” Amber turned off her phone and looked at the person who called her name.

“Taeyeon.” Amber scooted a bit so that Taeyeon and Sooyoung could take a seat next to her. “You guys are home. Come sit.”

Sooyoung and Taeyeon exchanged looks before walking over and taking a seat.

“You don’t have to do this you know?” Sooyoung said in a calm tone as she put an arm around her little sister’s shoulder. “Both of you don’t have to do this.” Sooyoung looked at both her sisters.

“And you should?” Taeyeon countered, with her face hidden in the palms of her hands. She was sitting with her elbows on her thighs. “Sooyoung. You know that you can’t do this alone.”

“But-”

“Sooyoung.”

“Hm?”

Amber grabbed Sooyoung’s arm which was draped around her and brought it down to lay on her thigh. “How can we just let you do this alone? All three of us are the only ones that can stand up to Yoona and her sisters. I’m sticking with you two until the end.” Amber firmly stated and laid her hand on top of Sooyoung’s.

Soon enough, another hand laid on top of Amber’s. It was Taeyeon.

“Count me in…sisters. ” Taeyeon stated with a smile. SooBer responded with their own smile. “We’ll do this together. For us and for those that we love.” They shared a brief, peaceful moment until they heard some coughs from behind them.

“Sorry. Did we interrupt you?” the fair skin, tall yet beautiful woman asked sincerely. “I apologized if we did, but my father wanted to talk to the three of you.”

TaeSooBer shook their heads and stood up. “Not at all. Please, come sit down.”

As soon as the daughter and father sat down, TaeSooBer did the same thing. They may not be normal, but they know their manners and respect. As soon as they settled down, they began to discuss the matters at hand. It was a lot more troublesome than TaeSooBer had thought but what else can they do when the problem was started because of them too.

“So then tomorrow is the day?” The woman asked.

“Yes. But if you and your father are not ready, we can wait a few days.” Sooyoung assured in a calm manner. “This will not be an easy task.”

The woman took some time to think and it seemed like she had already made a decision but she looked at her father for a last suggestion. Her father smiled lightly and nodded his head.

“Are you sure?” Amber asked again. TaeSooBer may be determined to destroy Kwon Yuri and the Maniacs but not at the expense of others. They had enough of that.

“Yes.” The woman said in a firm voice with determined eyes.

TaeSooBer looked at the two figures in front of them intently before taking a breath and explained to them every detail they had to know.

“Don’t worry. We won’t let any harm come to you and your father again.” Taeyeon promised. Sooyoung and Amber nodded as a sign of their promise as well.

*Next Day: Sunday Afternoon*

“Perhaps you should present your proposal once again to the Jungs.” Sunny advised as she sat on Yuri’s desk.

“I agree.” Hyuna added and looked at Yuri with a frown. “How long are you going to wait? The longer you wait, the more time they have to find the culprit.”

Yuri scoffed. “Puh-lease. Taecyeon is their son and he can’t even do anything.”

Yoona slammed a book on the table, catching Yuri by surprise. “Looks can be quite deceiving Ms. Kwon. Don’t talk like you know him so well.”

Yuri smirked. “Oops. Sorry. Did I hurt you? I didn’t mean to offend your boyfriend.” Yoona glared at Yuri and walked over to the door. Just as she got ready to turn the knob, she took a quick glance at Yuri. “Meet the Jungs at their home tonight and threaten them with the merger. They have less than a day to compensate for the money loss.”
 

Yuri raised an eyebrow. “When did that happen?” Yuri didn’t know of such time constraint. She had her own ways of doing things and rushing was one of the methods but this was too quick. It’s like she’s putting herself out for the tigers. “Don’t you know that me doing that will only heighten the suspicion?”

Yoona just shrugged and left. “Up to you. I’m only trying to help you.”

Hyuna stood up as well, wanting to follow her sister. “You really should. Time is ticking. What’s there to lose?” Hyuna taunted and left.

Now it was just Sunny left. Sunny turned around to look at Yuri and traced her finger along Yuri’s cheeks.  “Do you believe in survival of the fittest?”

“Why?”

Sunny shrugged. “Nothing. I just feel like you’re playing this game where you’re trying to come up as the winner. And just when you are one step away from achieving that status, you back out.”

“Shut up.”

“Whatever then. Best of luck.” Sunny left, leaving Yuri alone to think about what she should do. Jung Enterprise and Hwang Hospital will be destroyed regardless of what she does.

*Sunday Evening*

Mrs. Jung opened the door of her home only to see three men. “Heechul?” She then looked to the two men standing behind Heechul. “And Siwon? Jonghyun?”

“Hi Auntie.”

“Hello Mrs. Jung.”

Mrs. Jung bowed as well but was confused. “Come in.”

When the three men have settled down, Mr. Jung asked the obvious question. “Why are the three of you here at this time?”

“Did something happen?” Jonghyun asked. Mr. Jung shook his head and was a bit confused at such a question.

“Why do you ask?”

“I received a text from an unknown number saying that we must be here tonight. We didn’t want to take the risk so we came.” Siwon answered with a sigh. “What is going on?”

“I don’t know.” Mr. Hwang answered. “Perhaps it was the girls who texted you?”

“Siwon.”

“Heechul oppa.”

“Jonghyun.”

Jessica, Tiffany and Krystal were surprised to see Heechul, Siwon and Jonghyun at their house.

“Why are you guys here?” Krystal questioned as she took a seat next to her mom. Jessica sat next to her dad while Tiffany sat next to her mother.

Heechul explained the situation to JeTiKrys.

“Doesn’t sound like something we would do you know? I mean, we know our limits.” Tiffany reasoned with a smile. “Seriously you guys. We didn’t do it.”

“We know. After what happened to Hana, I’m sure you guys won’t be playing such pranks.” Jonghyun answered with frown. “But who would send that text?”

*Ding-Dong*

“Now who is it?” Mr. Hwang stood up and pressed the intercom only to see Kwon Yuri’s face show up. “It’s Kwon Yuri. Should we let her in?” He asked and looked at his family members.

“Let her in.” Jessica answered and stood up. Mr. Hwang unlocked the door and let Yuri in.

“Hello my soon to be in-laws.” Yuri stated with a wide smile as soon as she saw Jessica and her family. “Omo.” Yuri looked at Heechul, Siwon and Jonghyun. “Who do we have here? Arent’ you three suppose to be out running around playing heroes?” She asked mockingly.

Jonghyun wanted to slap Yuri but got held back by Siwon. “Not worth it.” Jonghyun hesitantly withdrew and took his seat next to Siwon again. This scene made Yuri smirk in victory.

“I feel the love already. How you doing Jessica sweetie?” Yuri flashed Jessica a charming smile only to be challenged by Jessica’s infamous glare. “Aww. You’re hurting my feelings honey. Here.” She placed a folder in front of Jessica.

“What the hell Kwon Yuri?” Krystal asked as she looked through the documents. “My sister will never marry a pathetic excuse of a human such as yourself!”  Yuri could care less about the insults.

“Anyways, before I was rudely interrupted by this insolent child…” Krsytal wanted to beat the hell out of Yuri and send her to the emergency room and then put her back there again but got held back by Tiffany. “…you have less than a day for compensating the workers. Just sign this and I’ll be your solution to all your problems.”

“Or the beginning of her insanity.” Tiffany interjected with her arms crossed. “Don’t you ever learn how to just give up? Why force things that are clearly out of your control?”

Yuri merely laughed at such absurd comment. “I’m not forcing anything. I’m just being nice.”

“Nice my .” Krystal grumbled. But Yuri just pretended not to hear anything.

“Jessica. If you don’t agree to this merger, your company, which your father and grandfather has worked so hard to build, will crumble in a matter of seconds. You need money, I have money. You need help, I can help you.” Yuri knew she hit a critical spot when he saw Jessica hesitating.

“And if any of you think Taecyeon can actually find a solution, think again. That adopted piece of s**t probably took to first plane back to America after finding out how useless he is.” Yuri said emotionlessly.

*Punch*

Yuri landed on the ground and was holding on to her cheeks. When she looked up, she saw Tiffany standing in front of her, huffing in anger and definitely, in her HellFany mode. “The only thing that he ever did wrong in his life, was being friends with you. A beast and daughter of a dog.” Tiffany spat out viciously, scaring, quite honestly, everyone in the room. Especially Jessica and Krystal since they were usually the impulsive ones.

“And my brother Taecyeon-” Krystal now stood next to Tiffany as Yuri slowly stood up. “-is nothing like you. Coward.”

Yuri was angry and stood up quickly. Very frustrated. “Shut up and sign the damn papers!!”

Suddenly….

*ring ring*

“Hello? Taecyeon!” Heechul’s loud voice caught everyone’s attention, especially Yuri. Everyone was curious as to the phone conversation but was only more apprehensive when Heechul held out his phone to Yuri.

“What?” Heechul asks into the phone and as he glances ahead of him, he could see Yuri staring at him. Heechul knew that out of the whole room, Yuri must be the most anxious. Even if she doesn’t admit it, Yuri knows Taecyeon better than anyone.

“Kwon Yuri?” Yuri narrows her eyes at the mention of her name, which Heechul doesn’t fail to notice. “Yeah she’s here.”

“Okay. Just hurry.” Heechul then hung up and walked slowly toward Yuri. “Taecyeon is on his way right now. Since you want to be part of our family so much, please wait for him. He’ll be here soon.” His words full of sarcasm but Yuri knew that he was serious about Taecyeon.

“I have no time. I’ll leave the documents here.” Yuri turned to leave.

“He has a surprise for you Kwon Yuri.” Yuri stopped the moment she heard those words.  Surprises? She-

“He told me you hate surprises but he assures you that this surprise will blow your world.” Heechul said with a smirk making the rest wonder as to what the real meaning to those words were. Yuri took a breath before turning around to face the others again, with a blank face.

“Heechul. What are you talking about?” Siwon asked.

But Heechul didn’t answer his friend. “So Kwon Yuri. What do you say?”

Yuri hates surprises. And Taecyeon knew that better than anyone. And Taecyeon never used that against her. But when he did, it would only result in bad consequences. However, Yuri will stand her ground. She has nothing to fear.

“Why not? He was a former friend of mine.”

As soon as those words escaped , the doorbell rang.

*Meanwhile*

Three figures staggered as they tried to regain their posture.

“Damn! Now that I got beaten the life out of me, I believe the Incredible Hulk does exist.” Sooyoung tried to joke as she took a seat on the wooden floor. It was dim in the place that they were in right then.

“Agree.” Amber crawled to sit next to Sooyoung. “But we’ve been through worse. Where’s Taeyeon?”

“Right here.” But instead of crawling or limping, Taeyeon just walked to them cooly. “Stop pretending to be hurt.”

“It does hurt!” Sooyoung whined and held onto her jaw. “I think he dislocated it!”

“Oh. Me too! Me too!” Amber complained and jumped up and down on her . And before Taeyeon could say anything more, SooBer were checking each other out for injuries.

“Psh! Look at her. Pretending to be all cool and invincible.” Sooyoung stated and threw Taeyeon a stink eye. Amber just meronged Taeyeon. Taeyeon just rolled her eyes before pulling Sooyoung and Amber to their feets.

“Okay. His hits might have hurt a bit but you two are overreacting. We’ve been through worse.” Taeyeon countered as she began walking away. SooBer ran to catch up with her and soon enough, they were all walking side by side.

“Just wanted a laugh. No need to be so serious.” Amber said with a light smile.

“I know.” Taeyeon said with a sigh of relief. “At least a step in our plan is complete.”

Sooyoung took a breath and looked at the star filled sky. “What do you think is happening now Taeyeon?”

“Nice to see you again Yuri.” Taecyeon greeted before ushering her to return to the living room. “Please join us. As you know, I have a surprise for you.”

Yuri knew that Taecyeon was up to something of no good. Especially since he came with an unknown man.“What is it? And who’s your new friend?”

JeTiKrys kept on staring at the man standing next to Taecyeon. He seemed really familiar….

“Oppa. Are you okay? You look tired.” Tiffany asked upon noticing the dirt and disheveled clothes. Taecyeon just smiled at her and nodded his head.

He then turned to Yuri and became expressionless.

“It’s over Kwon Yuri.”

Yuri smiled and raised an eyebrow, as if mocking him. “Why do you say that?”

Instead of answering, Taecyeon just gestured the man next to him with his head and immediately, the man took out some papers from his briefcase and presented it to Yuri.

“Allow me to introduce myself Ms. Kwon. My name is Kim Kibum. And I am attorney representing The Jung and Hwang Family.” He did a formal bow. Everyone was shocked.

“When did we get a lawyer?” Mr. Hwang asked Mr. Jung.

“I don’t know. Excuse me but-” But Mr. Jung was cut off by Taecyeon.

“I hired him. Anyways, please continue Mr. Kim.” After Taecyeon spoke, Mr. Kim continued.

“Ms. Kwon. My clients has propose a counter-measurement to your current merger method. As you can see-” Mr. Kim slid some papers toward Yuri. “-we have evidence depicting your sole involvement in the embezzlement of Jung Enterprise.”

Yuri quickly looked at the paper and had the shock of her life. There, in her hands, were copies of the documents exchanged between her and her men she hired to carry out the evil deed.

“So what? Anyone could have forged this document. Especially those who want to take me down.” Yuri spat out with anguish as she stared at Taecyeon. “Quite low of you Ok Taecyeon.”

Taecyeon let out a dry laugh and clapped his hands together. “You know. I knew you would say that. Mr. Kim, please continue.”

Mr. Kim nodded his head. “Ms. Jessica Jung was the primary suspect of this embezzlement. In fact, as all of you know, all of the Jung and Hwang household members were suspects in this case.  Embezzlement is primary caused by insiders.”

Krystal looked at Yuri in disbelief. “So that’s what you did huh?”

“What did I do?” Yuri challenged.

“You hired someone in our company to carry out your dirty deeds and you knew that in the end, we would be the most likely to fall as the perpetrators.”

Yuri scoffed but deep down, she was beginning to tumble. “I wouldn’t need any of you to do that. I could’ve just hired a pet monkey.”

“And indeed you did Ms. Kwon.” Mr. Kim then took out a voice recorder and played it.

“Please. I have you what you wanted. Now give me what I want.” A jittery and frantic manly voice could be heard.

“Is this all the papers?” a woman’s voice asked.

“YES!! That’s the financial papers that Vice-President Jung gave me.” He pled. “Now please! The drugs!!”

“This is what Kwon Yuri wanted right? What does she need these for?”

Everyone could now hear the hesitation in the man’s voice as the recorder continued to relay the conversation.

“She-she-”

“She what?”

“To ruin Jung Enterprise.” He finally confessed. He then began biting his nails. “Now can  you give me my reward.”

“Not yet. One last question. How does she intend to do that?” The woman continued to ask.

“Embezzlement and loss of trust within the company and other contractors. Their reputation will destroy them.”

The man became desperate. “That’s all I know. Now give me-”

That was the end of the recording. Mr. Kim turned it off and put it back in the briefcase. Jessica stood up and walked toward Yuri. Once she was close enough, she slapped Yuri hard.

“You are not human. How can you do this to me?!” Jessica yelled, eyes tearing up because of anger and regret. “I-I can’t believe I used to love a piece of trash such as yourself. No! even trash has the decency to know its place. YOU ARE NOTHING!!”

Jonghyun pulled Jessica back before anymore harm could be done. Yuri threw Taecyeon a sharp gaze, her eyes teary.

“Unfortunately, that man died. But! Don’t get excited yet Yuri.” Taecyeon said and walked to stand in front of Yuri. “Even if he died, your other henchman is still alive. And he’s now in the city jail. I personally took him there. You can thank me later.” Taecyeon flashed Yuri a smile, to which Yuri just responded with a glare.

“This means nothing!” Yuri exclaimed. “Even if you were to prove anything, I’ll make sure to bring all of you down with me!”

Suddenly, Taecyeon’s phone rang again. “Oh. Sorry for keeping you out there for so long. You can come in now. I didn’t lock the door. Hurry.” Taecyeon then looked at Yuri blankly. “Kwon Yuri is dying to see you.” He then hung up.

 Great! Another surprise. Yuri is about to go crazy but she’s not scared. She can counter all those evidence. She’ll just hire the best attorney. No one can stop her now….no one!

“Kwon Yuri.” That woman’s voice. Yuri would never forget that voice. It was never suppose to be heard of ever again…it can’t be!

Even everyone else in the room was quite shocked to see the woman standing behind Yuri…

“It-it can’t be!” Jessica mumbled in a shaking voice. Everyone else was still too surprised to even say anything.  Jonghyun was the only one who seemed unaffected.

“Um…what’s going on here? Who is she?” Jonghyun asked. He wanted to be part of the group too! He wants to know why this woman got everyone so scared…she’s not even a ghost!

“Oh. Sorry about that.” The woman answered with a sincere smile.

Yuri, who was stand stiff, slowly turned around. Only to be faced with the biggest surprise of her life. Taecyeon crept up to Yuri and whispered, slowly yet with conviction. “I told you this surprise will blow your world.”

Yuri tensed even more now…but everything else in the room just got more constricting. It wasn’t possible…it..just..can’t..be…

“How-how—you can’t-you're supposed to be-” Yuri could find the right words to say and was uttering incoherent words. But the woman didn’t seem to mind at all. Jonghyun looked at the woman and noticed that she seemed to be enjoying the effect that she was having on the egotistic, selfish and horrible Kwon Yuri.

“Don’t you remember me Yuri?”  The woman faked a frown and walked closer. But Yuri did the opposite. Each step she took forward, Yuri would take an equal step back.

“It’s not possible.” Yuri tried to convince herself that the person in front of her was just her imagination.

The woman than smiled and put on a pokerface which Yuri clearly saw through. “Since you won’t introduce me. I’ll do the honors.” She stepped aside and bowed to everyone else in the room.

“Hello everyone. I’m Song Qian, the heiress to Song Industries & Co.” She then looked at Yuri before turning back to the others. “And as most of you already know, Kwon Yuri’s ex-wife.” 

(A/N: Just know that this ‘Song Qian’ is different from Krystal’s friend Victoria. I know that they’re just one person but for the purpose of this story, think of them as two different persons..)
