Sooyoung promised herself that she will live her life to the fullest and be happy when she escaped from death's grasp from falling off the cliff with Yoona.She promised her parents. She promised Seohyun. And she promised...Yoona. 

Yes...Yoona. Her only best friend, aside from her family, that she loved and trusted so much before greed and power dominated Yoona's existence. But even so, Sooyoung still believed in Yoona. She knew that one day, Yoona will realize her mistakes and become good again.  But the old Yoona never came back...until the end.

Sooyoung closed her eyes and laid down on the grass as draped an arm over her eyes, resting under the shade provided by the tree. Her thoughts resumed, even though she tried not to think about it.

Her past was still in her mind. Her past will never disappear and it will never change. No, her past made her who she is today. Sooyoung then turned to her side, her eyes still closed as she remembered her last moments, and last words with Yoona.

*Flashback*

Sooyoung felt her body flying over the cliff edge, noticing at the last minute that Yoona had managed to drag her down by clutching on to her right leg. Fortunately, Sooyoung was able to clutch onto a rather sturdy, thick branch before both of them fell to their death. 

"I made an oath to myself Sooyoung!! That if I can't beat you, then I will make sure both of us die!!!"

"You're crazy Yoona!!!! This is useless!!!!" Sooyoung yelled, as she tried to keep her hold on the branch. "The both of us dying is senseless. Shut up so I can think of how to save us both!!!" 

Yoona sadly smiled before saying the last words, "I'm sorry."

"Huh?"

"I was wrong about everything. Everything was my fault. Even Seohyun's death."

"This isn't the time for this Im Yoona!"

"It's the perfect time, Sooyoung. I'm sorry for everything. I just, if I died, I wanted you to be the one that does it."

"What?" Sooyoung whispered, looking down at the fragile, forlorn Yoona looking right back at her with a soft smile. "Why-what are you trying to say?"

Yoona chuckled weakly and scoffed. "Don't play stupid. You know exactly what I mean."

Sooyoung can't believe this. Yoona...the Im Yoona would pull such a stupid, dangerous stunt just to die!

"You tried to hurt everyone that I love...just so I will be the one to...kill you?"

"That's right. I realized after Seohyun's death that I am to blame for everything. But it was too late. I couldn't do anything else to be forgiven except die in you hands. And when I found out you loved Jessica, I made a vow to protect her with you too."

"You're an idiot! Why would you do such a thing?! I just wanted my best friend back!!!" Sooyoung shouted, tears streaming down her eyes. "I missed you. I missed us. You didnt' have to die just so I can forgive you!! Seohyun wouldnt have wanted this!!!"

"It was the only way I can be at peace."

"So you mean, that even when you made it seem that you were my enemy, you have been secretly helping me all along too?"

"That's right Sookster." was the honest, sincere reply given to Sooyoung. "I didnt want you to experience the same loss I did with Seohyun."

Sooyoung cried even more at the confession and the nickname she shared with Yoona, knowing just how much sacrifice and pain Yoona had been in just to seek redemption. "I-I forgave you a long time ago Yoona. But you--you made me fight you and hate you so much with your deceiving actions."

Yoona smirked, "That's what I wanted Sooyoung. I wanted you to hate me and fight me with all that you have. And I knew that Jessica would be the reason for that. I wanted to die in your hands." 

Sooyoung then felt Yoona's hold on her loosening. Sooyoung widened her eyes and grasped Yoona's arm with her own right hand. "Don't you dare Im Yoona!!! Don't let go!!"

"Promise me that you will be happy Sooyoung. Live the life that you deserve after all this pain. Promise me." Yoona demanded, knowing that both of their weight can't be held. "Now!! Promise me!!!"

Sooyoung sobbed as she gave Yoona her word. "I promise. But please, don't leave me too Yoona. You're my best friend. My only one."

Yoona was crying now too as she tried to stay strong for Sooyoung. "Don't cry and be sad Sooyoung. You have so many more people waiting for you. You have your family. And you have Jessica."

"But I won't have you!!!" Sooyoung yelled, as their hold was loosenign even more. Now Sooyoung was merely holding onto Yoona's hand.

Yoona smiled brightly at Sooyoung one last time, before uttering, "I will always be with you. I will be by your side. That's what best friends are for. That's my promise to you. Thank you and forgive me for everything Sooyoung. I am so sorry. Goodbye." And with those last words, Yoona pulled Sooyoung's hold from her and let gravity do the rest of the work.

"YOOONNNNNNAAAAAAAA!!!!" Sooyoung called out for her best friend's name one last time as Yoona fell down to what would be her death. No one could survive such a fall. 

Sooyoung cried so much..much more than she has ever done in such a long time. Her whole body was in pain. She started to feel so weak and her eyes got so heavy that without knowing it, her hold on the branch loosened and she had to let go.

"I'm coming...mom, dad, seohyun and Yoona. Jessica and everyone else...goodbye." Sooyoung thought to herself before she lost all consciousness.

*End*

Of course, Sooyougn didn't die. And that is all on Sooyoung's good fortune although she was at the brink of death when Hyoyeon found her body resting on a piece of land protruding from the main cliff. Apparently she was there for 2 days until she was found. Her injuries were critical but fortunately, majority was healed with the healing water given by her dad.

Sooyoung wiped her tears when she sat back up after that episode of memories. She looked into the distance at the sunset and took a breath. Looking at the promise ring on her right ring finger, Sooyoung couldn't help but smile. 

Jessica had given Sooyoung this promise ring as soon as they returned from the police sation. Sooyoung smiled even more when she remembered what Jessica ordered her to do after giving her the ring:

"That ring binds us together from now on before I marry you. And I will marry you one day Choi Sooyoung!!!!! So don't you even dare cheat on me or leave me ever again!"

Jessica wouldn't take any other answer but a 'yes' as an answer. Not that Sooyoung would even think of being with anyone else but Jessica. 

It was getting late so Sooyoung knew better than to stay out any later because Jessica will get worried. Ever since Sooyoung returned, Jessica has been checking up on her so very often that even Taeyeon said that both of them should just get married asap. Even Amber said the same thing. 

Unlike Taeyeon, Sooyoung was no longer living with the Jung and Hwangs. She was living with her father and Kibum in their own little apartment with Amber. Sooyoung was about to call Jessica because she knew Jessica was busy with the annual Jung Corp. party that will be held later on at 8pm. But just before she could call, someone else called her first. 

"Hello?" 

"Choi Sooyoung. I would like to meet with you right now."

"Oh. Yes sir. Where?"

"In my company office at the end of the day. Do not tell anyone of this. Especially Jessica."

"So you are sure you want to do this Amber?" Hyoyeon asked one more time to confirm, looking into Amber's eyes. Amber sighed and flashed her a weak smile. 

"Yes Hyoyeon. I am sure. Now let's go before we miss the flight." Amber instructed, walking away first with her luggage in tow. Since it was a Friday afternoon, the airport was quite busy so Hyoyeon and her had to stay side by side so as to  not lose eachother. " Nicole will be waiting for us at the gate?"

"Yeah. I stayed behind to wait for you to check in since you woke up late." 

"I apologized for that already. It was a long night."

"Of course. Especially when it involves Krystal."

Amber rolled her eyes and in retaliation, attempted to make Hyoyeon trip on her luggage by purposely pushing the former toward her own luggage. Of course it failed but that doesn't mean Hyoyeon wasn't upset. 

Amber chose to run away before Hyoyeon could do anything to her. She ran all the way toward Nicole, while laughing and hid behind Nicole to protect herself. When Hyoyeon arrived and tried to grab Amber, Nicole merely glared at her and Hyoyeon stopped like an obedient wife she is. 

Amber laughed at this and decided to comfort the grumpy Kim. "You're so whipped for your wife Kim Hyoyeon."

"Yah. Amber Liu. I just saved your life. Don't make me regret it." Nicole playfully warned before linking arms with Hyoyeon. Hyoyeon flashed a smirk at the annoyed Amber, who in return stuck her tongue out as retailiation.

"Such a child. How did Krystal fall in love with you?" Hyoyeon questioned with a disgusted expression, pulling Nicole closer to her. It was getting busier and alot of people were crowding around them. 

Amber smiled proudly at herself and shrugged before stating, "I'm irresistable."

"There's only one person that is irresistable here and that is my wife." Hyoyeon boasted and kissed Nicole on her cheek. Nicole gladly accepted the compliment and snuggle closer to Hyoyeon. "And because she is so lovable, I must protect her and love her always." Hyoyeon proclaimed, making Nicole blush and feel so loved. Hyoyeon then kissed Nicoles forehead. "I love you Nikki."

Amber couldn't handle the lovey dovey couple anymore and pretended to gag in disgust to make them stop. But in reality, she was happy for the HyoNic couple. And to be honest, jealous too. 

"Hurry. Let's go before the gate closes." 

"Amber."

"Hm?" Amber stopped in her tracks and turned to look at Nicole with a raised eyebrow. 

"You won't regret this decision right?"

Amber sighed and gave Nicole a reassuring smile. "No. I won't."

Taeyeon only got halfway buttoning her shirt when someone ringed her door bell. Yes, even if she was only living in the pool house and it was alot more spacious and safer after being rebuilt, Taeyeon had to add an extra security feature. Meanwhile, Sooyoung and Amber were currently living with their father in the small house they had purchased a bit on the outskirts of Seoul.

Taeyeon pushed on the button on the device next to the door to see who her visitor was. Yes. Taeyeon had installed a camera/doorbell. She just liked to know who was behind the other door even if it was just Tiffany.

And behold, the visitor was Tiffany.

Taeyeon smiled a bit upon seeing Tiffany's bright, smile as she waved at the camera, wanting Taeyeon to open the door. Taeyeon pressed the 'talk' button on her gadget so that she can communicate with Tiffany.

"I'll be out in a bit. I have to get dressed."

"I'll help you!!!" 

"NO!!!!"

Tiffany began to bang on her door. "But Tae-Tae, I'm your wife!!! It's normal for me to help you dress and if you're , that's fine too!!!" 

Taeyeon widend her eyes and covered her chest with her arms. "BYUNTAE!!!!!"

And that was that. Tiffany laughed at  Taeyeon's cute antics and turned back to sit on the edge of the pool, dipping her feet in the cold water. Tiffany's relationship with Taeyeon definitely improved after the video. The video where Taeyeon saw and heard herself admit to 'loving Tiffany.' Since then, Taeyeon has become more attentive and caring toward her, even if she won't ever admit it.

Tiffany was so engrossed in her thoughts that she didn't even hear Taeyeon come up behind her. Taeyeon raised an eyebrow when she h eard Tiffany laughing aloud to herself and acting all giddy. 

"What is wrong with you now?" 

Tiffany quickly stood up and smiled at Taeyeon. Observing Taeyeon from top to bottom, Tiffany bit her lips. "Taeyeon. You are beautiful and sizzingly hot!" 

Taeyeon rolled her eyes and walked away. "You're doing it again Hwang."

"What? I can't admire and compliment my wife?" Tiffany teased, chasing after Taeyeon who didn't want to hear anymore of Tiffany's cringey comments. It was too early in the morning.

When Taeyeon and Tiffany finally arrived inside the kitchen where the rest of the family has been waiting for them to eat breakfast, Tiffany and Taeyeon stopped talking. 

"Good morning." Taeyeon bowed before taking her seat next to Mr. Hwang. Tiffany did the same and sat next to Taeyeon. Mr. Hwang grumbled and started to eat, and then everyone else followed. 

Taeyeon knew that Mr. Hwang did not like her. In fact, neither fathers liked her or her sisters. But Mrs. Jung and Mrs. Hwang seemed to have accepted them and adores them. 

"Eat this Taeyeon. I cooked it." Mrs. Hwang put a piece of braised pork on her plate.

Taeyeon smiled at her and thanked her. "Yummy. This is delicious mother." 

Mrs. Hwang chuckled and then gave some to her husband too. 

"I thought you forgot about me now that your daughter-in-law is here. "Mr.Hwang complained, glaring at Taeyeon, who was not scared of it at all. 

"Honey. Don't be a child. I have to make sure that Taeyeon is well taken care of so that she can take care of our precious daughter." 

Mr. Jung and Mr. Hwang both scoffed at this comment, causing Taeyeon to stop eating altogether. 

"Is there a problem?"

Both of the elder men instantly sent murderous glares toward Taeyeon. Taeyeon wiped with her napkin and stood up. "I understand. I will be taking my leave now. Have a good day." Taeyeon doesn't want to cause any more problems if she can help it.

Tiffany quickly followed Taeyeon, but not before sending her own disappointing glare toward her uncle and father. 

"That was unnecessary." Mrs .Hwang lectured. "you're being immature."

"I don't like Kim Taeyeon. She has done to much to hurt our daughter!" 

"And yet, she and her sisters risked their life to save their life as well as ours. What do you have to say to that?" Mrs. Hwang challenged, furious at her husband's ungratefulness.

It got quiet once those words were uttered. Mrs.Jung found her friend very admirable, standing up to her husband like that. But as soon as Mr.Jung was going to say something, Mrs. Jung sent him a warning glare and he stayed quiet. They knew better than to anger their wives so for now, they will stop.

Krystal decided that today would be the day where she will finally make Amber realize that her love is true and sincere. And no one, will stand in her way. The only problem is that she can't find Amber. No one seems to know where she is. Hyoyeon and Nicole has returned to Japan as well so she couldn't even contact them until they have landed. Currently, she was having lunch with TaeSoo, JeTi and Victoria in a korean restaurant. 

"I wish I can tell you where Amber is Krystal but I really don't know."

"It's okay Sooyoung-unnie. I just hope she shows up tonight at the gala." Krystal stated with a hopeful smile, setting down her phone after leaving yet another voicemail for Amber. "I have told her of this event weeks before so I really hope she comes."

"Is it that important for you that she shows up as your partner?" Jessica asked, feeling pity for her little sister who refuses to give up on Amber despite the pain and hurt she keeps feeling. Amber has been nothing but despondent and cold to Krystal.

"I wouldn' tell you even if I knew where she was." 

Everyone glared at Taeyeon when she said that. But Taeyeon merely continued eating as she reviewed her emails on her company phone. "Don't stare at me. Only Tiffany can do that and I'm just tolerating her."

Tiffany slapped Taeyeon on her thigh. "Be nice!"

"No." Taeyeon said with a pop as she stuffed a piece of kimbap in adding a peace sign with her finger. Tiffany rolled her eyes and pinched Taeyeon on her side, earning an 'ow' from the latter. 

"Yah!!!." 

"I love you too." Tiffany blew a kiss to Taeyeon but Taeyeon grabbed the 'air kiss' and threw it away. So childish. Tiffany and the others couldn't help but chuckle at Taeyeon acting like a child who just got reprimanded for being bad.

"Just ignore that grumpy dwarf Krystal. I'm sure Amber will come around. " Victoria assured wiht a smile, and then took the phone away from Taeyeon. "Can you stop working? Spend some quality time with us."

"I am. I'm here so thats enough." Taeyeon tried to reach out for the phone only for Tiffany to pull her back. "Taeyeon. You work for Victoria and as your boss, you need to listen to her."

That's true. Victoria employed TaeSooBer to work in her company despite their refusals. But Victoria was adamant in making sure they work for her company after everything they have done for her. 

"Exactly why I need to work to make sure her company doesn't go bankrupt."

"Taeyeon." Tiffany gave her a stern glare and her tone was one of a warning.

"Whatever." Taeyeon grumbled like a child, giving up. She nudged Tiffany by the shoulder. "Pass me the tteoboki and I'll be good."

Sooyoung chuckled at Taeyeon's submissive nature to Tiffany and shook her head. She then turned to Jessica. "Sica. Should I just meet you at the gala today or we go together?" 

Sooyoung was referring to the Hwang-Jung annual gala party. 

"Together." Jessica said, linking her arms with Sooyoung. "Just come pick me up tonight at 7:30pm since it starts at 8pm."

"Do I have to attend?" Taeyeon meekly asked, hoping she won't have to. 

"Yes Taeyeon. You're my wife." 

Taeyeon released a disappointed groan, "But Tiffany. No one knows that except us and your familly."

"And your point is?"

"Why don't we get divorced and you introduce me as your girlfriend?" 

"Nice try but that's not happening. You'll just run away."

"Damn it." 

"So you want a divorce. But Tiffany wants to be your wife. Your marriage is quite sadistic." 

"It's not like that Krystal."

"I hope Amber never comes back to you." Taeyeon said, trying to act innocent afterwards like she didn't say anything. 

What happened next, was everyone trying to pull Krystal away from Taeyeon as Krystal tried to kill Taeyeon. Things got messy real quick.

And it got even worse when Krystal received a phone call from Nicole. 

"Hi Nicole. Have you guys boarded yet?"

"Not yet. But I have something important to tell you Krystal."

"What is it?" 

Krystal's smile quickly faded when she heard the next words from Nicole. 

"Amber wants to leave and never come back. Come as soon as you can. Our plane leaves in an hour."

*9:18pm @ Hwang-Jung Gala @ Gangnam Sparrow Hotel*

"Tiffany. I need a break." Taeyeon made an 'X' with her arms and walked outside to get some fresh air in the garden. For the past hour, Tiffany literally stuck to her side and introduced to all the guests. Even the children! "Ah! so refreshing!!" 

"Taeyeon. You okay?" Tiffany had followed Taeyeon out since she was concerned at Taeyeon's abrupt exit from the gala inside. 

"I will be in a few minutes. I have never bowed so much in my life. This is too much."

"What do you mean? You don't want people to know that you are my special someone?" That's correct. Taeyeon doesn't want Tiffany to mention anything about their marriage so after much arguing, Taeyeon agreed to Tiffany's deal: Tiffany will introduce her as her girlfriend. And Tiffany was so happy to do that because she was smiling all night as she proudly introduced Taeyeon to everyone.

Taeyeon sighed and pulled Tiffany closer to her by her shoulders and then turned the heiress around so that both were looking at the people inside the hotel banquet room. "Look at this Tiffany-" Taeyeon used her left arm to gesture at the amount of people and luxury in the room. "-I am a joke to all these people. I don't belong here in this world with you."

"You're not a joke to me Taeyeon.  And you deserve to be with me."

"Tiffany. You're a smart woman. I'm sure you can see the judgemental stares everyone here is giving me. And not just me, but also Sooyoung." Taeyeon pulled Tiffany to the side away from the crowd before continuing. " I just don't deserve to be with you. You deserve better."

Tiffany's eyes darkened and she pulled away from Taeyeon's hold.  "And you need to know that I don't care about what they say about you. I chose you. That's all that should matter to you Kim Taeyeon. But if you're going to care about what other people think of you then I don't know how else to convince you otherwise. "

At that moment, Taeyeon knew she had hurted Tiffany by her words. She said it out of consideration for Tiffany.

Taeyeon sighed and  reached out to hold Tiffany's hand.  "I'm sorry. I didn't-"

"You don't even care about me or how I feel." Tiffany pulled her hand away and Taeyeon saw the hurt flash in Tiffany's eyes. "I'm disappointed in you. So this is what you think of my love for you. Fine. We can talk about the divorce after this party."

"No. I don't care about the divorce . Please Tiffany, listen-"

"No. Just leave. You never wanted to come here in the first place. Or as you say, you don't deserve to be with me. " And with that, Tiffany left, not caring to look back.

Taeyeon sighed and released a scream out of frustration. This wasn't suppose to happen. She was only being considerate of Tiffany. Honestly, Taeyeon doesn't care about the divorce anymore. She just wanted to be enough for Tiffany but she can't help but feel insecure about her status. Her past was not someting she is proud of too. Addition to that, their 'marriage' was only one sided and worse, she can't even remember Tiffany! 

Taeyeon wanted to go back inside and fix things with Tiffany. She will apologize. For reasons she doesn't understand yet, the concept of Tiffany leaving Taeyeon was just too painful. So she had to fix this as soon as possible but couldn't when a man approached her with the intent to talk to her. 

"You must be Ms. Kim Taeyeon. Tiffany Hwang's date for tonight."

" I'm her girlfriend." Taeyeon corrected. She can't help but feel hostile toward this man even though this was the first time she met him. "Excuse me." Taeyeon tried to leave but the man blocked her way. Smirking, the man held out his hand for Taeyeon to shake, 

"It is rude if I let you leave without introducing myself. I am Nickhun Horjekuval." He flashed Taeyeon what should be a charming smile but to Taeyeon it was nothing more but a devious smirk. "It's an honor to finally meet you."

Meanwhile,

"Where is Krystal?" Mrs. Jung asked her eldest daughter after unsuccessful attempts of finding Krystal. Mrs.Jung had gotten worried because Krystal barely spoke any words the whole night and she knew that Krystal was not happy with the numerous matchmaking her father had tried. " I can't find her."

"I don't know. I haven't seen her too." Jessica answered with a shrug while Sooyoung just noddded her head in agreement. " Did you check outside?"

"Heechul did and she wasn't there. I'm just worried about her. If only Amber was here, my baby wouldn't be sad." Mrs. Jung reached out to grab a hold of Sooyoung's hands. "Any news on Amber?"

Sooyoung shook her head. "No. I haven't heard from Hyoyeon  too and I doubt any of us will. But I believe Amber will come Mrs. Jung. She loves Krystal too  much to just leave your daughter behind."

"I really hope so." She said with a smile and then gave Sooyoung's hand a squeeze. "And I hope you stay with Jessica and love her always."  

Sooyoung was taken aback by the words and couldn't help but feel guilty after hearing that statement. Nonetheless, she masked her guilt with a  fake, bright smile and truthfully answered, 

"Jessica's happiness means the world to me. I would never purposely hurt or leave Jessica if I can help it. I will always love Jessica. " Sooyoung promised and leaned down to kiss Jessica's lips, making the unsuspecting heiress blush. 

"yah! We're in public."

"So what? your mom doesn't mind so why should us?" Sooyoung teased, only to earn more laughter from Mrs. Jung. While Jessica only pouted and felt even more shy at Sooyoung's affection. She still has to get used to it when Sooyoung initiates skinship because mostly, its Jessica who does it first.

Jessica finally found her escape from the embarrassment when Tiffany marched toward them, looking very unhappy and annoyed. "Hey Tiffany. What's wrong?"

"What's wrong is Taeyeon. She makes me so angry with her so called 'wisdom' and self proclaimed 'consideration'."  

"What did my sister do exactly?"

"Taeyeon is a coward. That's the problem."

"Whoa. Slow down there honey." Mrs. Jung interrupted, not believing in Taeyeon being a coward. "Taeyeon is anything but a coward."

"She is when it comes to her feelings. She told me she doesn't deserve me and that I should find someone better than her. I just can't understand her even if she doesnt remember me, how can she disregard my feelings so easily?!" 

Tiffany was raising her voice now and it was starting to get some attention from other guests. So Jessica decided to help calm her down. "Let's go get some fresh air. And then you talk to Taeyeon. Understood?"

"No. I'm too angry with her right now."

Sooyoung sighed and crossed her arms. "Fine. Where is she? I'll go talk to her."

Taeyeon stayed quiet. She knew exactly who this man was. Tiffany has told mentioned Nickhun to her prior to the party. Before the gala, Tiffany actually showed profiles of all the important guests to Taeyeon and Nickhun was one of them. But it seemed like Nickhun has met her before. But of course, Taeyeon wouldn't remember that. But Tiffany told Taeyeon that Nickhun was a business partner. That was all.

"Tiffany is still as beautiful as usual. You are a very lucky woman Kim Taeyeon." 

Strange. Taeyeon does not have a good feeling about Nickhun. And it seems that Nickhun and Tiffany had a lot more than just a business relationship. "My girlfriend is always beautiful. I am very lucky to have Tiffany Hwang in my life."

Nickhun's smile faded and he withdrew his hand. “ I have the feeling that you do not like me.”

“That is right. I have other priorities right now.” Taeyeon walked past him only to stop when she heard his next words.

“I know about your true intentions with Tiffany Hwang."

Taeyeon turned around, curious as to what he could possibly be so confident about. She had to be careful.

With her blank expression, she answered “What are you trying to accuse me of?”

“You were only an assistant to her.  I remember you always accompanying during times we met up.”

“ I did? Hm. I don’t care to remember insignificant events.”

With a growl, Nickhun closed the distance between them and pulled Taeyeon up to him by her collar. He gave her a menacing stare as he uttered his next words,

“You are nothing but a commoner. I had you checked out and you have nothing to your name. The only notworthy thing about you is your job at Song Industries. Aside that, you're a poor, useless person. I have everything and Tiffany would have been mine if you didn’t come in between us!”

"You're delusional."

NIckhun tightened his death grip and stared right into Taeyeon's calm eyes. " I could have had her! She and I would be the power couple of the decade. But because of you, she never gave me a chance. No matter what I did for her, it was never enough!! I knew it was because of you!!"

"Pathetic." Taeyeon rolled her eyes. "Even if I wasn't in the picture, you would have never had a chance with her. Behind that suit and handsome face, lies a greedy, manipulative man."

Nickhun growled and then tried to punch Taeyeon. 

Taeyeon smirked and instead of struggling out of his grasp, she merely used her right thumb and index finger to pinch a certain pressure pointing his shoulder and the man fell down to his knees in pain. Nickhun fell down before he could even hit her. 

Taeyeon fixed her shirt after Nickhun released her and look down at him in contempt. 

“ You did a background check on me. Are you that insecure about me?” Taeyeon bent down to the panting Nickhun level and stared right into his eyes. “ It must hurt your pride that Tiffany chose to be with me- a nobody. And you are left with nothing but scraps as to how you can advance in your status. You are the heir to Aero Airlines and yet, you are not even half the man your father is.”

“Shut up!” Nickhun tackled Taeyeon to the ground and then succeeded in punching her. Taeyeon didn't fight back, so she dodged all his incoming attacks.  "Tiffany is mine! I will use that brainless, heiress any way I want! I will do what I want with her and there's nothing you can do about that!!”

Taeyeon’s eyes darkened at those words and she quickly got on the offensive. No more being merciful. Before Nickhun could even defend himself,  Taeyeon grabbed his arm and pulled it to his back. It was a painful maneuver because Nickhun couldn’t even move much except cry in pain.

Taeyeon will break him... she will make him regret speaking bad of Tiffany.

“TAEYEON!”  

It was Sooyoung. Sooyoung had come out to find Taeyeon and bring her inside to join the festivities after talking to her and be there for the family speech. But when she saw the fight in front of her, she ran toward Taeyeon and tried to stop her.

“Taeyeon. What the hell are you doing?! Let her go!” 

“No!” Taeyeon pulled Nickhuns arm more, ignoring his pain. “ He insulted Tiffany and only wants to hurt her! I’m going to break all his bones.” She venomously vowed, not showing mercy. Sooyoung cursed before sending a text to Tiffany to come out and help.

“ listen Taeyeon. If Tiffany sees this, she won’t be happy. Let him go.”

“No.” Taeyeon pulled the arm further apart, and the pain felt like his arm was being torn off. "He deserves this."

“Taeyeon. You’re better than this. Don’t be like him.”

“ I’m not. But he needs to be taught a lesson.”

“TAEYEON!!”

Tiffany ran over and tried to pull Taeyeon away from Nickhun. “ let him go!” 

Tiffany had decided to follow Sooyoung and talk things over with Taeyeon. She felt that she acted to rash and was inconsiderate of Taeyeon's feelings and discomfort with crowds. But she wasn't expecting to see a fight.

“No. I’m going to make him cripple forever.” Now Nickhun was scared and started to plead with Taeyeon. 

“Please! I won’t do it again! I will stay away from Tiffany! It was all my fault. I’m sorry.Let me go!!!”.

“ Apologize to Tiffany! Not me. Now!”

“ I’m sorry Tiffany. I won’t force myself on you anymore. I will stay away from you from now on. I’m sorry for everything!”

"He apologized now let him go!!" Tiffany attempted to pull back Taeyeon, who quickly complied after Nickhun apologized for his despicable behavior. 

With a growl, Taeyeon reluctantly release Nickhun and stood up. She was still glaring down at the man in the ground in anger and hatred. 

"If you utter anymore insults or even come near Tiffany, I won't forgive you." Taeyeon threatened and that didn't pass with Tiffany. 

Taeyeon only came to her senses when she felt a slap on her face. When she came to, she realized it was Tiffany who delivered the hit.

“ why did you slap me for? He was the one-“  and that was when Taeyeon finally saw that a crowd had gathered around them. So that’s why....

Tiffany’s anger dissipated when she realized what she had done. She had slapped Taeyeon, again. But that doesn't mean Taeyeon's actions were right too. 

“ you have gone too far Kim Taeyeon!” 

“Me?” Taeyeon scoffed and pointed at Nickhun. “ He insulted you and-“

“ so you hit him? And try to kill him?!”

Taeyeon looked around and saw that all eyes were on them, specifically her. 

“ Tiffany. I’m sorry. I was only-“

“ You don’t think before you act do you?! You embarrassed me and my family!!”

Taeyeon frowned at this. “ no. I was only trying to pro-“

“Leave.”

“Tiffany.” 

“ Leave Kim Taeyeon. You have done enough damage for tonight.”

Taeyeon complied and dejectedly left the place. She brought humiliation to Tiffany and her family. Her actions only caused Tiffany pain.She should have just left. That’s it... forget about her inheritance. She doesn’t even know when the reason she stayed with Tiffany changed. It was no longer for the inheritance.  She is nothing more but an amnesiac idiot. Tiffany is better off without her, just like Mr. Hwang insisted.

It was a long night and when everyone got back to respectful homes, there was no discussion. Mr. Hwang and Mr. Jung was so angry that they just locked themselves up in their office. Tiffany Locke’s heralded in her room too. Sooyoung apologized for Taeyeons actions but it doesn’t mean she doesn’t believe Taeyeon. Taeyeon doesn’t just hit people if it wasn’t warranted. 

After bidding goodnight to Jessica, Sooyoung  sneaked into Mr. Jungs office.

“mr. Jung.”

“I would appreciate it if you kept your promise to me. You didn’t tell Jessica did you?”

“No.I will be gone before Jessica even knows. I won’t come near her again. She will hate me for the rest of her life.”

“ thank you.”

“ don’t think me Mr. Jung. I just love Jessica too much to allow her to experience the same pain of losing her parents.”

Mr. Jung was taken aback by this statement. He wasn't expecting to hear this from Sooyoung.

“I am breaking my promise to her, yet again. I promised to stay by her side, but for her happiness, I have to break it.  I won’t allow Jessica to live a second without her family if it can be helped. And if I am the problem, I will gladly leave. So don’t misunderstand Mr.Jung. I am not doing this for you. I am doing this for Jessica.”

Krystal opened the doors of the observatory and began to search around for a certain someone.  The observatory was unlocked, just like Taeyeon told her. She had left the party as soon as Taeyeon was able to sneak away from Tiffany for a bit to deliver some info to Krystal. And Krystal wasn’t sure she can trust Taeyeon considering how much Taeyeon disliked her. But she remembered Taeyeons words:

‘You don’t have to trust me. I still don’t like you. But you made a mistake and deserve another chance.’

Her heart was beating so fast and at the same time, she was so anxious. It wasn’t until she got to the balcony overlooking the woods and the stars were all out. It was a beautiful night. But what made it better was that Krystal wasn’t alone. 

There was someone else there with her. With nervous steps, Krystal gradually see herself closer to the person who looked very familiar under the moonlight and starry night.

“Am-Amber?”

The dark silhouette was walking toward Krystal now and only came to a stop when Krystal was at arms length. Krystal still could not identify the person. Was Taeyeon lying to her as revenge for hurting Amber? Did Taeyeon hire someone to kidnap her? omo! That was a scary thought.

And with those scary thoughts, Krystal began to retreat backward as the person in front of her started to take steps toward her in the darkness. But Krystal was walking backwards on purpose. She wanted to bring that person into the light so that she can see the face. 

"Come to me. I want to see you." She ordered, once she was in the light. Now, the mysterius person only had to join her. It was a few minutes and yet, nothing happened. The two literally had a staring contest.

Until finally, Krystal heard a very, very familiar chuckle. One that she will never forget. 

"You sure you want me there with you?"

Krystal's eyes widened and glistened with tears. Is it--- "Amber?"

"You didn't answer me. Do you really want me to step into your world? Into your light? I'm nothing but a shadow Krystal. I'm filled with darkness and my whole life, has been tainted with blood and betrayal. If you really are willing to accept and love me for everything that I was, am and will be, tell me now. I don't want to be the one who ruins your life. And I don't want you to wake up one day and not love me anymore. Because I will never stop loving you."

Krystal was crying so hard now that she couldn't even answer. So she had to use actions to give her answer. Krystal took a stride forward and pulled the person toward her and smashed their lips together. 

After a passionate kiss, Krystal pulled away first and gently caressed the lips of the person in front of her and smile warmly before uttering a response, 

"Amber, you're my destiny. And we're fated to be together. No matter what happens, we will be together. I love you." 

Amber was so happy she could die at the moment and have no regrets but she still had a long life to share with Krystal. So as tears ran down her eyes and her cheeks, Amber smiled and pulled Krystal in for another endearing, loving kiss.

"I can never leave you behind Krystal. I love you."

Tiffany couldn’t sleep anymore. She had a nightmare. She tried to sleep again, she really did but she couldn’t. So she got up and looked out the window toward the pool house. The lights were still on. Perhaps Taeyeon is still up? Tiffany grabbed her phone to look at the time. It was only 4am. Three hours since she she last spoke to Taeyeon. Her dream involved Taeyeon and she can't even be at peace knowing that she didn't make peace with Taeyeon. 

Tiffany was angry with Taeyeon but she also felt horrible for slapping Taeyeon. She just wanted everyone to like Taeyeon. She doesn’t want Taeyeon to be a bad person in anyone’s eyes because to Tiffany, she was perfect. Even if Taeyeon didn’t  remember her, she still cared. Taeyeon would still pull her close to her in crowds, hold her hands without Tiffany telling her too, and allow Tiffany to be in her world. 

Tiffany felt even worse now because she started to realize that she was being selfish by forcing Taeyeon to be in her world and do things she isn’t comfortable with. Taeyeon has been patient with her for these past months and Tiffan hurtled her. 

“ damn it! I have to see her.” So Tiffany did just that. It didn’t take long before she was  standing outside of the pool house. She pressed the doorbell and waited. But there was no response. She tried again and still, nothing. "I hope she wants to see me too."

“ Taeyeon. Are you still up? I wanted to talk to you. Can I come in?"

Silence.

But the lights are on. That’s weird.

“ Taeyeon. I want to talk to you.”

Silence.

“Taeyeon. Don’t be like-“ Tiffany pushed against the door and found that it was unlocked and slightly opened. 

Strange. It’s not like Taeyeon to just leave her door unlocked and open like this.

“Taeyeon?” She called again, walking inside the house but no one responded. 

Tiffany then noticed that the drawers were open and empty. Now she was starting to get scared. 

“ Taeyeon!!” Tiffany screamed and searched for Taeyeon in the house. Every room was empty. The bathroom was empty and the closet was empty. No one was there. 

Tiffany was panicking and she was about to call Sooyoung if she didn’t see an envelope addressed to her on the top of the pillow.

With trembling hands, Tiffany grabbed the envelope and opened it. 

Tiffany covered with a hand as she started to cry when she saw the divorce paper and the note attached. 

The divorce paper had Taeyeons signature neatly written on the bottom. These words were written on the sticky note:

                                   I made changes to the conditions of our divorce. I do not want anything, not even the inheritance, in exchange for this divorce from                                      you.You will have your freedom from this nightmare with me. Kibum will be in charge of the procedures if you have any questions or                                    disagreements about the conditions, speak with him. Don't ask for me and don't try to look for me. I sincerely hope that you will grant                                    me these last wishes despite all the horrible  things I have done. Thank you and...goodbye.
