Description: Lee Sungmin, the second Prince of Esprit, never hesitated in protecting his friends, soldiers and people by shielding them with his own body, which healed faster than others as a healer. Foreword 

A damaging war continued endlessly between two human races, Esprit and Macabre, whose lands were split by magical borders, set up by each special group of magic wielders within each race. Nobody really remembered the reason for the war, but legends said that it started because of a fight over the throne between two twin brothers. The twin brothers were both magic wielders, but their powers mirrored each other – one bestowed life, another delivered death.

These were said to be the origins of the powers of magic wielders in each race, as many generations later, the magic wielders of Esprit held powers that gave spirit and life, while the Macabre magic wielders’ powers were out to destroy and kill. However, to protect the Ordinaries, citizens without powers, from the war, the magic wielders, collectively known as the Marked, learnt to use their powers to preserve and destroy at the same time.
