The café date
Spring flingChapter 7 The Café Date
When the alarm went off the time read 5.50 AM. Blinking in obnoxiously bright red number on the alarm clock standing next to his bed. In a swift move, as swift as someone could be after just waking up, he pressed the white button on the top of the device.
With a groan the half asleep man sat up in the messy bed. Rubbing his eyes with his left hand to see better, Hyukjae reached his right hand out to the small table next to the double bed searching blindly for the glasses he needed to see, when the lenses wasn´t in place.
Hyukjae put the glasses on and grabbed his phone to see if anything had happen on social Medias while the raven head was passed out.
The first thing he saw were three messages from the same unknown number that had texted him the evening before. A twitter post from a band he follows and a spam mail offering him a good price if he buys a ´self-designed´ coffee mug.

On a scale of zero to dog, how exited are you to meet?
From: Unknown 23.53
I hope we can become like swans. Partners from life.
From: Unknown 02.15
Counting down the time until we meet. It feels like counting an ant farm.
Who was sending him all these text? And why did they all have something to do with animals?
Not really having the time to deal with all this, unless the male wanted to be late to work, Hyukjae decided to once again ignore them and walked over to his wardrobe picking out what to wear today. When he had decided on the least expensive but still acceptable to be seen in public with, the black haired man made his way to the bathroom to take a shower to freshen up before going.
Well out of the bathroom, dressed and ready for the day, the resident sauntered to the kitchen. Putting two slices of bread in the toaster and taking out butter, cheese and the carton of strawberry milk. Filling a high glass with the sweet pink dairy.
When the toasts popped up, Hyukjae quickly spread butter on the slices, making the deliciousness melt into the bun, before covering them with cheese.
After devouring his breakfast in a hurry (not that he were to be late it´s just the pace he eats his food in general) the teacher made his way to the front door. He put on his shoes and then the green jacket he always wore. Grabbing his keys from the small bowl on top the hall way table, Hyukjae did a double take in his head. Checking that he had everything needed for the day ahead.
A shuffling sound came from the living room and Hyukjae remembered the man occupying his couch. He quickly grabbed a nearby piece of paper and a pencil, writing a short message to the sleeping figure to read when he had awoken. The text told the latter that he was allowed to eat anything from the fridge.
He put the paper on the low table next to the sofa and placed his alarm clock next to it. Not knowing if the younger had somewhere he needed to be he put the alarm on nine am.
Nodding in confirmation that he indeed remembered it all the raven head locked the entrance and made his way out of the complex building.
As he walked past the landlord´s office on the lowest floor, not counting the basement where the storage units and garage were, the man lifted his right hand and with a small smile the latter waved towards the opened office.
Getting the same gesture back Hyukjae exited the apartment complex.
After walking down the street for fifteen minutes the kindergarten teacher reached his work place and with a few minutes to spare before he was to start, Hyukjae made it through the entrance of his workplace.
He was greeted by a generous number of students and some of their mothers or fathers.
Laughing at the toddlers and how happy they were to see him again the man petted their heads and urged them to follow him inside. Not sparing the parents any mind (except for a nod and smile well mannered).
He greeted the other workers at the daycare and walked to the playroom. Feeling more excited about the day than people usually did when they had to work.

When lunchtime rolled around Hyukjae started to feel his mind slowing down after hours of playing and some actually teaching.
Sighing in tiredness he rubbed the back of his neck and reached for his phone placed in the front pocket of his backpack. Well faced with the device the black haired male unlocked the screen and saw a flood of missed texts.
Scrolling through the messages Hyukjae frowned when he saw that the unknown number still insisted in sending him stuff. Even when it was oblivious that he didn’t have the mind to ever answer the person.
Moving further down in his conversation list the man found out that the group chat he shared with his friends was filled with messages. Feeling the need to know what was going on he pressed the group icon and scrolled his way to the beginning of the day´s discussion.
They all seamed to be in a heated discussion about something they had agreed on earlier. What it was Hyukjae had no idea. Most of the times the content of their group chat was hard to keep up with, leaving the latter in a confused blur.
Almost at the end of the message bubbles he saw his name being mentioned. He decided that it was for the best to read what they where talking about.
The message came from his youngest friend in the small circle of friends. It said that he had fulfilled his part of the deal and found the perfect girl for Hyukjae to date. It may even be `the one` for the older.
The teacher at question highly doubted it.
Thinking back to the previously failed attempt of a date, the black-haired man shook hi head. No, he was not going to go through all that again. He opened his private chat with his younger friend and wrote:
Kyuhyun I don’t know how to stress this enough for you but there is no way in hell that I´m going on a blind date with someone you know! Not even if i
