I grip the bottle of tequila tightly and tilt upwards, causing the liquid to slowly burn my throat. I mindlessly stare up at the dark ceiling, tapping my fingers on the glass body of the bottle. Giving Sehun a curt nod to proceed, I continue to wallow in my depression and listen as he reads the file in detail.

“Kim Hae Ra: born on November 14 in Seoul, South Korea. She’s the only daughter, although, I would count her idiot brother a daughter also, of Kim Hankyung and Lee Younha. She graduated from the University of Seoul and is currently next in line to inherit Kim Empire. She’s mastered Taekwondo, Karate, and Muay Thai and is skilled in the art of stick fighting.”

“Oh, it says she shot her first person at the age of seven. She sure sounds peachy,” says Baekhyun sarcastically.

I heave a loud yawn and eye the file in Sehun’s hands.

“That all?” I ask, completely uninterested in the matter. I have a feeling these two idiots are more excited to meet the so-called Kim heir than I do.

“Yup. That’s all it says here, but other than that there are no signs of any pictures, criminal records, not even a fingerprint,” Sehun informs, shuffling through the files.

I scoff and take another sip of liquor.

“Daddy made a good job of hiding his little girl’s ,” I murmur.

“She’s basically a ghost. There’s no further sign of her existence. Not even a single picture,” gaped Baekhyun. Sehun closes the file and looks at me, eyes filled with curiosity.

“Is uncle really making you do this? Why with the Kim Empire girl? Your dad hates their guts, but now he’s trying to marry you off to those heads?” he asks incredulously.
