Luhan POV 

The next days, everything went well. Kris and I wasn't in tense anymore. Especially when he allowed me to call him informally. 

Working in the same room with him feels like working with friends now. It feels good. 

The clock showed 12:00 a.m. Lunch time! 

I smiled widely. I always smile everytime the lunch time comes. I can't wait to devour my meal. 

"Kris.. It's lunch time.. May I have my lunch?" I asked him 

"Oh.. Okay.. " Kris said without looking at me, still reading his document 

I put aside some files and books on my desk and then put my lunch box. I opened my lunch box and smiled when the delicious smell of Kevin's cooking struck my nose

Kevin always cooks for me since I was in high school. Now I am already working person yet Kevin still cooks for me. He made a mapo tofu for me for lunch 

I just wanted to eat the fist spoon but stopped and widened my eyes when Kris suddenly took a seat in front of my desk 

Kris pulled a chair and then sat in front of me. He also opened his lunch box on my desk. Leisurely he ate his lunch. I still widened my eyes. 

"What are you doing Kris?"

"Eat my lunch.. What else?" He said, with mouth full of rice 

"In my desk?" 

"Yeah.. What's wrong with it?" 

I just kept silence. 

"You don't like it? Well I will go-" 

"No!" I cut as I grabbed his hand but then immediately released it 

I didnt know whether my eyes played a trick with me or not but I thought I saw Kris frowned when I released his hand 

"Uhm .. I mean I don't mind to have you eat your lunch here.." I looked down 

"Okay then.. " he said as he sat in front of me

We ate in a comfortable silence. I knew Kris stole a glance to me but I pretended I didn't know as I kept looking down on my food 

"You made it by yourself?" Kris suddenly asked

"Oh no.. Kevin made it.. He makes it for me.. Well he's the chef in our home.. he is the 'eomma' " I chuckled 

"Hmm.. It must be great if you have someone cooks for you.." He said 

"I'm so bored with this Miss Lee's lunch.. I already protested but she acted deaf.. " 

I laughed hearing his words. 

"Don't tell her okay?" He whispered 

I nodded. 

"Lu.. May I ask something?" Kris asked 

I nodded while kept munching my food

"Why you were such in hurry looking for a job?" He paused 

"I mean, usually only fresh graduated student who looks for a job.. Even fresh graduated students usually spend time for vacation.. Have a break after stress in school.. You.." He pointed at me with his spoon

"You even applied before you graduated.."

I sighed before I answered 

"Well.. Uhm.. I want to move out from the house.. If I move out, then I need to buy a new house or rent an apartment.. So I need to earn some money to do that.. Since I want to move out as soon as possible so I need to find a job as soon as possible too.." I explained

Kris nodded 

"But why you want to move out? I think you like live with your cousin.."

"Well this is one of my way to show how I love Kevin.." 

Kris tilted his head, confused. I just chuckled 

"You know I've been living with Kevin and AJ since my parents passed away when I was 10.. It is about 13 years I become their burden.." I sighed 

"They work so hard for my life.. They pay my school fee.. Before I live with them, they just rent a small apartment which is cheaper.. But when I moved in, they should rent a bigger house which is more expensive.. In simple words, they need more money for keeping three of us alive.." I sighed again

"AJ even works in two places.. In the morning he works with Kevin in the coffee shop. In the evening he works as DJ.. He works harder than Kevin and I since he feels like he is the breadwinner at home.." I chuckled remembering AJ always tries to be the 'father' 

"That's why when I already can look for a job, I immediately applied.. So I can earn my own money.. Then I will move out from their house and slowly repay all they've given to me.." I smiled 

I looked at Kris. I saw him just staring at me and stopped his eating 

"Uhm.. Am I talking too much? My story must be boring huh?" I bit my lips

"No.. Of course not Lu.." He smiled

"Your story is very interesting.. I think I made a right decision by accepting you.. Youre such an extraordinary person.. And i mean it in positive way.. You'll be a very hardworker.. But.." He paused as he stood up 

"Don't work too hard.. I won't you get sick.." He said a he ruffled my hair 

"Thanks for accompany me eating lunch.." Kris smiled and winked as he walked back to his desk

I was frozen in my seat while feeling my cheeks heated.

Kris POV 

Having lunch with Luhan is being habitual now. Luhan always reminds me when the lunch time comes. Then I will take a seat in font of him. 

We ate our own lunch box. Sometimes we shared our food. And we talk more about us. 

Today, Luhan is the one who asked me some questions. 

"Kris.." He started 

I hummed 

"You are the COO of this company right?" 

I nodded 

"Who is the CEO? It must be our father, right?" 

"My step father.." I corrected 

"Huh?" 

"You know my parents divorced then my mom remarried. . .my newest father doesn't have any child so I became his heir.."

I saw Luhan mouthed an 'O' with his cute lips. 

"Where is he? Why he never comes to the office?" 

"Maybe he's busy with his new wife.." 

"H-huh?!"

I sighed before started

"My mom went crazy when my dad passed away.. My step father just marrying my mom because he takes a pity on me.. Which crazy woman can take care her son? Thus he marrying my mom in order to easier him to take care of me.. He never loved my mom.. He just doesn't want to see me suffered taking care my crazy mom.. " 

I looked down but then I looked up at Luhan as he held my hand

"I-I'm sorry Kris.." He said sincerely 

"It's fine Lu.. It feels nice that I can finally share it to someone else.. " I smiled at him 

"You're the second person after Miss Lee who knows this story.."

i felt fluttering when Kris said that i’m the second person whom he shared about his life. but somehow i also felt uncomfortable when Kris mentioned Miss Lee’s name
