💯 Chapter 8 ; "I can wait..."

      JB's eyes widen seeing NeBi in pain, in the middle of the road. He yelled,"noo!!!! NeBi-ah!!" He rushed to her and leaned her against him. He hugged her tightly saying,"are you crazy?!! Why did you do that..?huh?!" NeBi coughed and slowly responded,"I can't...make..you...suu..ffer..any..more..than this.." Netizens and students surrounded both of them. JB cries slowly saying,"don't say anymore..." They both made eye contact and NeBi suddenly quiet down and started to shut her eyes.. JB shook NeBi a little saying, "no..don't close your eyes, stay awake.." NeBi suddenly closed her eyes & went unconscious.  JB hugged her tightly saying,"NeBi, I'm going to take you to the hospital. Stay with me, ok?!" Emergency ambulance came, JB's mom rushed to them going,"omo!!! My dear!!" Ms.Kim looks at NeBi unconscious and said,"(to the ambulance people) hurry! Come take her to the hospital now!!!"   
      JB and his mother sat outside the emergency room. His mom hugged him and said,"don't worry, son. I know she'll be okay. Trust me.." JB goes,"it's all my fault.. I should've man up more, and talk to her. It was my fault to try to avoid her & cause this.." His mom responded,"it's no ones fault, here. Now, tell me honestly. Do you really like NeBi..?" JB goes,"I'll tell you honest, mom.. I really liked NeBi, ever since day 1 , she came.." His mother responded,"did you tell her..?" JB nodded is head saying yes and responded,"but...she seems to give up on trying, cause she doesn't want to hurt Jiyeon's feelings towards me.." His mom goes,"if you really love that person, you would do anything to make them happy.. From what you're telling me, I feel like NeBi has a soft heart and doesn't want others to suffer but her. She's a type of person who's willing to give up something to make others happy...but don't worry, I'm sure NeBi will notice your love to her & love you back, son.." 
      Suddenly NeBi's parents rushed to them and NeBi's mom cries out saying,"how's my daughter?!! Is she okay..?!" Her husband hugged her by the side & said,"hun, don't worry.. Our daughter will be safe.." JB stood up & went on his knee in front of NeBi's parents saying,"I'm sorry, it was all my fault.." NeBi's dad pulled him up saying,"don't do this.. Get up, it's not anyone's fault." NeBi's mom cries non stop, waiting for news to come. 
     Tons of post & photos were posted about NeBi's accident. Almost everyone in school knew & saw the accident. WooBin saw the post and was shocked. He goes,"NeBi got hit by a car, from..saving JB..?!" He suddenly called one of his friend that posted about it. As his friend answered, WooBin asked,"is NeBi hit, badly?! Is she okay?!" His friend responded,"I'm not sure if she's okay, but from what I witness.. Her head was bleeding a lot. And from what I research, if the head bleeds a lot, it can lead to something dangerous." WooBin hugged up and closed his eyes from stress. He seems to worry so much about NeBi.
     An hour later, the doctor finally came out of the emergency room all sweaty. They all rushed to him to ask about NeBi's condition. The doctor goes,"NeBi is a very lucky person.." NeBi's mom goes,"what do you mean..?" The doctor responded,"we almost lost her for a sec. But it was miracle, her heart beat continues again and we were able to save her in time.." NeBi's mom cries in happiness saying,"oh..thank you god for saving my poor daughter!!" JB was happy & sad at the same time, hearing that NeBi almost couldn't make it. His mother patted his shoulder and said,"look on the bright side..NeBi is fine now." JB faked a smile, trying not to cry. The doctor continues,"but there's a bad news.." All their eyes widen.. NeBi's dad goes,"what is it?.. Is something wrong with my daughter..?" The doctor took a deep breath and responded,"there was a lot of bleeding from her head.. There's a chance of her losing her memories.." NeBi's mom cries again saying," aigoo, my daughter!" JB's eyes widen as he heard that, he suddenly sat down & puts his head down saying to his self,"it's all my fault for sure, I should've not try avoid her.. But, will she remember a stupid person like me, now...? What if she don't, anymore.?" Ms.Kim asked,"will it heal..?" The doctor answered,"it 85% possible for her memories to return, if you guys can help her recall her memories back.." The doctor then left. 
     Ms.Kim sat by JB and said,"you can help recall her memories, the best you can.." JB responded,"but.. I feel like I'm gonna be her bad memories only.." His mom goes,"don't say that, I know you & NeBi has tons of good memories.. Trust me, and believe in yourself. Have hopes, son." NeBi's dad smiled and said to JB,"always have hope and a positive mind, I have trust in you that you'll get my NeBi's memories back." 
    They all finally get to see NeBi, after all the treatments she got in the emergency room for hours. Seeing a white cloth wrapped around her head, her lips all pale & dry, and herself still unconscious on the bed was already making JB felt so bad. His mother hugged him by the side and said quietly to him,"have hopes, like I said.." NeBi's parents and his mom left him alone with NeBi. JB sat beside NeBi and look at her unconscious. He felt her cheek and said,"get well quickly NeBi.. So I won't worry a lot anymore.." He fixed her blanket and continues,"even though there's a chance of you not remember I'll be patient and do my best to get your memories back.." After awhile of being with her, he fell asleep beside her while sitting on the chair beside her. He leaned his head against the bed and sleep. Hours later, NeBi's parents and his mother came back and woke him up. His mom goes,"you can come back tmrw after school, JB-ah..NeBi's parents will be with her til then." NeBi's dad said to hIm,"yea, don't worry. We both will be here next to her." JB and his mom then left home. JB sat in the car quietly, still depress. His mom next him held his hand telling him to not worry.

☀️ The Next Day ☀️
    JB got to school and tons of students stare at him due to what happen yesterday. JB himself, doesn't even care anymore about the attention he's getting. He was in a sad mood. Suddenly WooBin went to him and punched him right then, a big crowd surround them. Youngjae quickly rushed to them and stop Woobin. JB fell to the ground, and WooBin grabbed his collar and said,"how dare you make NeBi injured like that!! If you're not gonna love her, I'll take care of her. Leave her to me." Youngjae pulled WooBin away saying,"don't fight, just talk sunbae." JB wipe his bloody lip, not saying anything back. He got up and just walk away. WooBin goes,"yaa! We still have to talk!" Youngjae held WooBin back and said,"he's not in a good mood right now. Stop it!" JB got up to the rooftop and leaned against the edge of the roof, wiping the mini blood from his mouth. Standing there like an empty soul, not feeling any pain.
    Youngjae went to JB and stood beside him. He said to JB,"you alright?!" JB responded,"yea...I'm alright..?" Youngjae asked again,"what about her..?(referring to NeBi)" JB puts his head down and said,"i don't know what to do, anymore..." Youngjae goes,"is it something serious..?" JB responded,"I feel like it is... Let me be honest with you, the doctor said NeBi is not gonna remember much, she lost her memories.." Youngjae's eyes widen and said, "what?! She was injured that badly..?" JB took a deep breath and doesn't know what to respond back.. He was in total stress. Youngjae could see JB stressing out. He patted JB's back and said,"have hope, she'll get her memories back in no time. C'mon, class is starting.." Youngjae dragged JB to class.
    NeBi was still unconscious at the hospital. Her mom stayed with her as her dad went to work.
    Hours pass, her mom went asleep by the guest bed. NeBi suddenly woked up slowly. Things were still blurry in her eyes, she looks everywhere & not having a clue where she is. She felt her head as she got up, feeling the pain in her head. She saw a lady(her mom) sleeping near her, not remembering who she is. She slowly got up and saw herself on the mirror. She stops and went near the mirror and touches her face saying,"is this...me?!" Suddenly she heard people rushing and having tons of noises out there, she looks out of the door and saw a person all bloody and was crying in pain. The nurses and doctor rushed by to help out. NeBi suddenly covered her ears as a flashback popped up in her head. Replaying how she got hit by a car. She quickly rushed out of the room to get away from the noises. NeBi accidently bumped into a JB and continues walking away not noticing she bumped into someone. Jb couldn't see her face, and just let it go. JB got into NeBi's hospital room and notice that NeBi isn't there. He slowly woked up her mom and asked,"did the doctor took NeBi for a check?" NeBi's mom eyes wide saying,"what?" She got up and looked at her bed. NeBi wasn't there. She goes,"NeBi must've woken up and walked out...?!" JB remembered bumping into a girl. He goes,"let's go find her, before anything gets worse..." They both spread out and went to find her. 
    NeBi went outside the hospital to their own personal park for patients like her. She spotted a lot of people dressing like her(hospitals' patients' outfit). She then wonders around on her own. JB rushed out to the park as well, and look around. NeBi smiles as she spotted a cute little boy puppy walking around. She sat on the grass and pat it. It was white as snow & very cute. The puppy then sat on her lap and let NeBi pat him. NeBi goes,"I guess I found my first friend.. I'll call you...um..bubble.!" She giggled and hugged it. JB finally found her having fun with the puppy.. Seeing her laugh and smiles already made him happy. He approached her, NeBi then saw his shadow and looks up at him. They're eyes finally met again...
     NeBi smiled and said,"ohh! Is this puppy yours..?" JB forgot that she lost her memories. JB faked a smile trying not to tear up. He responded,"no.. I just came because I wanna play with him too. He sat beside her and NeBi goes,"really..?! Me too, I want to play with him too. I call him bubble cause I don't know its name..his fur is very soft too, touch it!" NeBi grabbed his hand and made him feel the puppy's fur. JB looks at her as she held her hand again looking very bright and happy. NeBi goes,"isn't it soft?.!" She giggles. JB smiled and said,"yes, it's very soft.." Finally its owner came, it belong to an old ahjumma. She goes,"aigooo, there he was. I was looking for him." NeBi stood up and held onto the puppy and said,"really? I just found him here. He's very calm and cute." That ahjumma thank NeBi and left. JB and NeBi walks side by side and her mom finally found both of them. Her mom rushed to NeBi and hugged her tightly saying,"aigoo, my daughter! I was soo worry.!" NeBi patted her mom's back and said,"I'm your daughter..?" NeBi's mom looks at her and said,"yes, you're my daughter & I'm your mom and your dad is at work. NeBi responded,"what bout him..?(pointing to JB)" Her mom answered,"he's JB, your friend.." NeBi looks clueless and said,"but.. I've only made one friend so far..how is he my friend..?" JB said to NeBi's mom,"it's okay..don't need to explain to her..i don't want her to think too much.." NeBi's mom took NeBi into her hospital room and rest, Then she left to go wash up home. JB stayed at the hospital with NeBi. NeBi looks at JB and asked,"ah...I forgot. What's your name.?" JB knew that, that question will be asked by her but why does he still looks sad..? He's sad because NeBi had forgotten him now. JB pulled back is tears and responded,"I'm JB.." Nebi smiled and said,"but..the sad thing is that, I don't know my own name.. Since my mom said you were my friend... Do you know my name..?" JB responded,"your name is NeBi.." NeBi held his hand to thank him, she goes,"omo..thank you. Now I believe you, that you're my friend!.. Thank you.. I like my name.." JB smiled and patted her head, not saying a word. Suddenly his tears started to drip slowly down his face.. As NeBi was about to look up at him, since he was soo quiet. JB suddenly said,"don't look at me..." NeBi goes,"are you..crying..?" JB covered her eyes and burst into tears quietly. NeBi goes,"JB.....are you okay..?" JB hid his face away from NeBi and walked into the bathroom and shut the door. NeBi watched him shut the door in the bathroom, she started to get curious about what's going on. 
     JB leaned against the bathroom, and his tears drip down his face non stop. He was sad seeing NeBi like this. Not knowing anything or anyone, even herself. She doesn't even know. Nebi slowly got out of her bed and walked to the bathroom door. She listened, and heard JB crying quietly. NeBi suddenly knocked and asked,"are you okay..? Are you hurt..? Is it my fault..?" JB quickly wiped his tears away and opens the door. He faked a smile and said,"no, I'm fine. I was just having a stuffy nose. I think I'm just getting a little sick." NeBi smiled and said,"ooh..i was just worried. I thought you were mad cause I didn't remember that you were my friend.." JB goes,"no.. Why would I get mad cause of that..?" He faked a laugh and took her back to her bed and rest. He goes,"don't come out of your bed, just rest and don't worry about anything. This way, you'll be able to heal your wound." NeBi nodded her head saying yes and responded,"I understand, I also don't want to stay here anymore. I want to get out of this place as soon as possible." 
     After hours pass, NeBi finally went to sleep, it was already 9:45pm. Her parents came and Ms.Kim picked JB up and left home. Like everyday, JB would visit NeBi after school til 9 pm.

⛅️ Weeks passed ⛅️
   NeBi finally returned to school, the only problem is that her memories is still not back yet. As she got out of the car, tons of students came surrounding her. NeBi feels like it's her first day of school! she doesn't know anything or where to go. She became a bright and bubbly person. She tends to talk to anyone and hang with anyone. NeBi walked down the hallway by herself,and WooBin approached her. NeBi looks at him and said,"annyeonghaseyo...I heard you're our tennis coach, right?!" WooBin already knew about her memory lost. He smiled and said,"yes, you're right. You can call me WooBin or sunbae." NeBi cheerfully smiles and responded,"and I'm NeBi-ah.. I can't wait to be trained by you." NeBi stuck out her hand for a hand shake. WooBin shook her hand and smiled. 
    JB ate with his SWMR group, and Jiyeon came and sat by him. But all JB did was look out for NeBi. Nebi finally came into the lunch room. At first he looks happy seeing her, but he saw WooBin behind her. NeBi and WooBin ate together, laugh & chat together. While JB looks from afar, feeling stress. As NeBi got done eating, she stops by JB and said,"woow..is that girl..your girl..? Jiyeon smiled and responded for him,"yes, I'm his girlfriend." NeBi smiled and said,"woow..congrats.." As JB was about to say something, WooBin came and  dragged her away saying,"NeBi, let's go practice.(tennis)" NeBi quickly waved bye to JB and Jiyeon and followed WooBin. Seeing NeBi being held by WooBin makes him already dying inside. Jiyeon smiled and said in her head, "making her lose her memories makes me feel happier than ever now..." 
     NeBi and WooBin was in the tennis court practicing. WooBin stood close behind NeBi, teaching her how to hit the tennis ball correctly. His hands over her hands, his chest closed to her back and telling her to focus. NeBi suddenly  smiled out of no where. WooBin and NeBi suddenly made eye contact and laughs as they both had fun playing tennis against each other. JB from afar, felt like he's going further and further away from NeBi. 
    It was night time, NeBi twist and turn in her sleep. She started getting very sweaty and struggling in her dream. She was dreaming about the scene she saved JB from getting hit and herself got hit by the car, instead. She then dreamed about herself getting hurt by Jiyeon. She then again dreamed about herself drowning. She started to cry in her dream, trying to get out of it. Finally she woked up, all sweaty and scare. Her mom heard NeBi from her room and rushed into NeBi's room. Her mom the lights and saw NeBi awake, looking all sweaty and scare. Her mom sat on her bed and hugged her tightly and said,"omo...what did you dream about, NeBi...?" NeBi cries and said,"mom...I'm scare... I dreamed that I...got..hit by a car from saving this one boy...and I was..gritting hit a lot by a girl...then I dreamed about myself drowning in a pool..." NeBi's mom hugged her tightly and said,"don't worry.. They're just dreams, don't be scare..now, go to sleep, so you won't be tired tmrw." NeBi went back to sleep. Her mom went backed to her own room and told her husband about NeBi's dream. She goes,"if NeBi's dream are like that, then that means her memories are slowly coming back.." NeBi's dad goes,"yea, you're right hun.. I think so too."

☀️ the next day ☀️
     Everybody was already in their classes, learning & studying. NeBi, herself was also in class, concentrating hard.  JB walks pass her class, looking at her, seeing her smile as she talks to others. He waited by the door for her class to be done. As the bell rung, NeBi saw JB and ran to him saying,"oh.were you waiting for me..!?" JB smiled and said,"yes, why do you look so happy?"NeBi giggled and responded,"oh I was just happy seeing you. Ever since that day, your girl told me you two were dating. I finally realize you have been treating me like a sister only. Tbh, I thought you liked me.. Cause you were very nice to me.. But that was just a stupid guess." JB's smile suddenly disappeared as he heard that. NeBi held his arm and dragged him to lunch. As they both got to lunch, Jiyeon went to them and said,"oh! Oppa.." NeBi handed him to her and said,"JB,I'll level now." At the exact time, WooBin came and called,"NeBi-ah..!" NeBi looked at him and went to him saying,"oh you came?!" WooBin puts his arm around her shoulder and said,"yep, let's go get food.!" NeBi looks up at him and smiled saying,"okay." JB watches them getting very close with each other. Jiyeom then pulled him to get lunch too. Jiyeon pulled JB to eat beside NeBi and WooBin. Jiyeon goes,"can we sit with you guy?!" NeBi smiled and said,"yea, you guys can. Sit here." JB wasn't having a good feeling sitting with NeBi and WooBin. Jiyeon suddenly ask NeBi,"so..do you two have something going?!" WooBin and NeBi looks at each other and WooBin responded,"we're just friends right now." NeBi nodded her head agreeing to him. JB ignored it and continue to eat his food. NeBi looks at JB and said,"you must be hungry.." JB looks at her and said,"oh..yes. I'm very hungry." NeBi suddenly reached her hand over and wipe a stain from his mouth with a napkin. She giggled and goes,"but..eat cleaner.." JB's heart beats fast and they both made eye contact. Jiyeon suddenly grabbed her napkin and said,"oh, I'll do it." WooBin goes,"NeBi, are you finished? Let's go play." NeBi then looks at WooBin and responded,"oh, yea. I'm done. Let's go!" They both got up and left leaving Jiyeon and JB sitting at the table. JB sigh and continues eating his food. 
     JB swam alone in the swimming house, to release some stress. He dive into the deep side and back up. NeBi came in curiously, wanting to see who it was. As she got in the pool area. She goes,"I've been here...right..?!" She heard someone swimming. As she got closer to the pool, JB came out of the water. He saw her and said,"why are you here..?" NeBi smiled seeing JB and said,"woow... You can swim..?" That's cool." JB's leg suddenly had a cramp and he started drowning. NeBi's eyes widen and said,"what's going on..?!" JB suddenly said,"don't come in!! I'm okay." NeBi goes,"how is that okay?!!" She set her thing on the ground and saw that JB had disappeared into the water. NeBi quickly jumped into the water and swam deep down into the water, surprising her swimming skill became pretty good. From all the practice she learned from JB in the past. NeBi went under the water and saw JB already unconscious. She grabbed him and pulled him up to surfuce. The both got out of the water and she laid him on the ground. She did CPR on him and listened to his heart beat. Suddenly she put on his, to breath air into him. She pumped his chest and finally he coughed out water. NeBi's head started to hurt, some flashbacks came into her head. She stood up and started to feel more pain, more and more flashback came. She steps back and suddenly she slipped and fell into the pool. More flashback appeared, the same scene of her falling to the water. She shakes her heads a couple of time in the water, but more flashbacks appeared. She started feel uneasy. She laid flat underwater and couldn't move. She slowly closed her eyes. Suddenly someone jumps into the water...
