i feel like people who make apply fics should know how to code well. not only is the writing and grammar important to consider, but also how your fic looks imho. if it's shabby vs. someone's well-presented fic, why should someone choose yours? there are tons of shops to turn to layout ask again; also there are the people who have a layout but then they dont crop their imgs accordingly so its all squished or they write too much in a fixed textbox and idk i feel like people who write applyfics should know enough about coding to not ruin what they're trying to present idk

For those of you who rarely get any subs for your fic!! Maybe it's because of your title and how you present it in your description? i.e. I'd want to go apply for a story that has a more aesthetically-pleasing title than just a thing with lots of | and tbh i feel like there should be more ideas than just idolau. possibilities are endless!! the office style fic, a p&r dpt. au, historical kor era au, a kind of hsm au, space-explorers/enders game au, orchestra au to counteract the bandaus, policeau, cruiseau, teacherau, crimeau, fantasyau, etc etc

when an author is very restricting when it comes to plotlines like giving specific birthdays and love interests... like might as well just make it a non applyfic since you've thought up all the details
