Fables
Lost StarsJackson held the door for her again and Jimin pondered to herself that he was truly a gentleman. She felt he was quite flirtatious but just attributed it to his personality. Upon entering, Jimin scanned through the room before greeting everyone. She noticed Yerin and Jinyoung huddled together in a corner. She immediately felt discontented, but she masked her true emotions and enthusiastically greeted everyone as Yugyeom scooped her up and held her in his arms. He exclaimed,
“JIMINNIE!”
She smiled and said, “YUGYEOMMIE!”
“I see you met Jackson hyung,” he stated.
“Actually Jackson and I knew each other for a while now. We were just hanging out, he told me Yerin would be in here so I came as well. I hope you don't mind," she stated as she bowed in Jaebum's direction.
Jackson placed his arm around her shoulder and pulled her towards him. Jimin flashed him a friendly smile before freeing herself from his grasp as she eyed Yerin and Jinyoung once again. She caught their attention with her entrance and gave them a reassuring wave,
“Thanks for setting my alarm Yerin, I don't think I would have woken up without it and sorry for falling asleep yesterday,” Jimin said, while being dragged away by Yugyeom and Jackson. She greeted Jaebum again before sitting down next to Jackson as they continued their conversation.
Jinyoung found himself losing focus on Yerin and just staring at Jimin from the other side of the room. She always caught his attention, he cursed himself for being so distracted when it comes to her. He spent most of today seeking advice from Yerin about how to handle his situation with Jimin. He wants to confess, but he's scared of the possible outcomes. Jinyoung kept overthinking the situation and Yerin is what he needed to give him that push. At least Jimin seemed happy, he smiled in her direction watching her interactions with his friends. Yerin waved her hand in front of Jinyoung to regain his interest. He shot her an apathetic smile and groaned,
"I just don't know if I have the courage to tell her so soon," Jinyoung whispered.
"The sooner the better," Yerin reassured him and put her hand on his back.
Jimin found herself getting along with Jackson very well, partly due to their common interests and how charming he was. Jackson was not only interesting, but funny too. Everything he said, the way he acted, the stories he told, it all made her laugh. She knew she would become good friends with him, he seemed to be very genuine. However, Jimin couldn’t help but sneak glances at Jinyoung and Yerin. They still seemed too absorbed into one another to notice her, it made her uncomfortable. Her stomach tightened as she watched the two interact.
It was mostly Jackson speaking, while Jimin, JB and Yugyeom listened. They all laughed appropriately, but JB couldn’t help but notice that Jimin wasn’t as focused. Her laughs seemed a little delayed and she didn’t seem as talkative as she was yesterday. She seemed preoccupied. He followed her longing eyes and noticed she was looking at Yerin and Jinyoung. What’s up with them anyway? He thought to himself that they had been secretive since Yerin first arrived, even last night. He concluded he would ask Jinyoung about later on.
Jackson interrupted everyone’s thoughts when his phone rang, it was the fastfood service. It was ready, it’s been ready for the past hour! Jackson forgot and apologized to the guys. He looked over to Jimin and said,
“Jimin, want to keep me company while picking it up?”
Jimin hesitated, to which Jackson replied,
“I’ll be so lonely going all alone! Don’t make me go alone Jiminah! I beg you!”
Jimin smiled at Jackson’s flirty nature and before she could respond, Yugyeom cut in and said,
“Hyung, I’ll keep you company! I want to hear the rest of the story!”
Jimin looked at Jackson and shrugged,
“I guess I’ll stay here then,”
Jackson silently cursed Yugyeom under his breath as the two headed out.
Jimin was left sitting across from Jaebum, it was somewhat
