“I cannot continue what we have now. It is better for us to stay as friend. Let’s draw the line.”

I reread the short message sent by him over and over again. I couldn’t believe it. He broke up with me through this damn short message? Just after I countered him for stepping out with Suzy from that cheap motel? Was this some kind of confirmation that he really cheated on me? What was so special about that woman? Because she had that long hair? Because she played innocent all the time? Because of what?

I sighed heavily and drank a huge amount of Chocó Peppermint to ease myself down. This was embarrassing. Seriously.. Huff!

RING!

I glimpsed to my phone. Caller: Jiyeonie. Automatically, I snorted. I already could imagine what would she said.

“WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?”

See?! I knew it. I just knew it. Luckily I put the phone quite far from my ear and yet I was still able to hear her clearly. “Hi, Jiyeonie.” I said lazily.

“Junggie, we are coming to get you. Tell us, where are you?” Myungsoo’s voice, Jiyeon’s boyfriend. Great! As usual, they talked to me through speakerphone.  

“I need my me time.”

“No. You are not allowed to get your ‘me time’. I knew that the dumped you. You need us.” Sometime, that best friend of mine forgot that I was a grown up woman. And, I could handle this. Besides, the broke up thing.. It wounded my pride. Not my heart. But still.. It wounded me.

“This thing is piece of cake, Jiyeonie. That bastard left me? So what? I am waiting for Armageddon but nothing happens. So.. I don’t think that I am doomed.” I stirred my Chocó Peppermint slowly.

“Junggie-“

“I’ll be home in an hour.” I pressed end call button swiftly and turned off my phone. Sorry, guys. I seriously needed my time alone. I just wanted to rethink what happened all over again.

“Hi!”

I raised my face and found a young man sat across me, smirking widely. “What are you doing there?” The table was mine. And, I wanted to be alone as in ALONE.

“Sorry. But, the other table is full” He eyed to the surrounding. “And, I seriously sleepy so I need this black coffee before I drive home.”

I scanned the coffee shop and saw that the whole table was indeed occupied. “Can’t you just ‘drive through’? You are going to save time if you drink the coffee on your way home.”

His eyes enlarge. “You know that my home is far from this place? Do I know you?”

I snorted in annoyance. “Look! I found this table first and I wanted no company.”

“It’s Kim Soohyun. And, I won’t disturb you. I will only sit here and enjoy my coffee in peace.”

“And if you-“

“If I say a word, you are allowed to punish me.”

“Good. Now.. Silence.”

“Yes, Mam.”

In snap, I took my napkin and threw it to his face. He gasped in shock. “You said two words.”
