Fashion Show Pt. 2
Behind the Mask [Bangtan]Zhen found herself standing the stairwell to the booth, which was rather spacious, with Jungkook standing a total of ten feet away from her. When they had exited the room, he stayed beside the door, but Zhen trailed to the other side, not wanting to be in anyone’s way.
“Can we talk?” He asked. He had been looking at his feet, but when he finished speaking, he slowly looked up at her, his dark eyes locking on hers and his eyebrows lifting, giving him a vulnerable, puppy-like look.
Zhen frowned. “We’re talking.”
“Right,” He said, looking back down. “Are you mad at me, or avoiding me, or something?”
Zhen laughed at this. “I could ask the same from you. I get you were probably busy, and that’s why you cancelled on me, but you totally avoided me the next day at school, and then you call Mallory to investigate my relationship with-”
“I wasn’t avoiding you,” He said sharply, looking up at her, eyebrows pulled together in annoyance. “I wasn’t avoiding you,” He said again, softer this time. “And I wasn’t investigating anything. I happened to tell Suga and the others what happened at school, and they called Mallory and asked-”
“Why were you sharing, if it didn’t bother you?”
“Because it did,” He said with a sigh.
Zhen crossed her arms over her chest. “Why?”
He frowned and leaned back against the wall. “Because I asked you out, and then you went out with some other guy-”
“Jungkook, you cancelled on me!”
“I know that!” He said shaking his head. “I know I cancelled on you, and I didn’t cancel because I was busy, I cancelled because I was still mad that you didn’t tell me you were a supermodel-”
“I’m not a supermodel. I’m just a model.” She said, sitting in the chair that sat in one of the corners beside a large plant. “And I didn’t tell you because no one was supposed to know. I didn’t want anyone to know because I wanted to be normal, and I wanted people to like me for me.”
Jungkook frowned. “But I like you for you, and I thought that was evident when I kissed you the other day. So why didn’t you tell me, when it was evident that I wouldn’t care one way or the other?”
Zhen sighed and dropped her head into her hands. “We’ve got a lot to talk about.”
Suga had taken Zhen’s seat behind Mallory, and he was glaring daggers at Claude’s hand as it neared the lower part of Mallory’s back. Her dress, which was hugged her tightly on the front, had almost no back, and Claude’s hand was dancing across her skin, making her sit awkwardly straight. “Stand with me,” Claude whispered, leaning towards Mallory. She leaned away and nodded, standing and walking towards the side of the balcony that overlooked the runway.
Suga turned to Jimin, who was sitting beside him and, just like Suga, was staring angrily at Claude. “What are you doing over here?”
“I don’t want that creep to feel her up.” He said flatly. “You?”
“Same,” He sighed. “Should we move forward a seat?” Jimin nodded and the two stood, walking around the row and sitting in the front, directly behind Mallory and Claude. “This is a complete bust.”
Jimin shook his head. “Not completely. We’re publicized for being here, and J-Hope was a hit with Song Yi. Everyone’s talking about it on the social media sites.” He said, showing Suga his phone.
But Suga wasn’t paying attention, because at that precise moment, Claude had pointed at the runway, where Jaspar was strutting in his outfit, and Mallory leaned forward to see her brother. As she leaned forward, she popped one leg out and leaned forward, but it didn’t stop her already too short skirt from riding up, showing her attractive lace underwear. Suga instantly shot to his feet, the moment he noticed Claude looking to the side and his hand continuing to lower.
It took all of two seconds for Suga to press himself against Mallory and wrap his arms around he waist. He pretended like he was peering over her shoulder at the runway, and Claude angrily spat “Que se passe-t-il! Pourquoi est-il-”
“Claude,” Mallory said, straightening and placing one hand on where Suga had clasped his hands around her waist. “I told you that these are my very close friends. You of all people should understand that skinship between friends is very common.” Her words sounded short, and Suga knew she was going to be angry with him, but he was not going to let anyone else see her in that position, and he wasn't going to let Claude touch her.
Claude turned to Suga, who smirked at him, and offered a venomous smile. “Of course. Friends, you are only friends. Forgive me for misinterpreting. I thought for a moment you were a couple.”
“No!” Mallory laughed, and Suga’s stomach plummeted. W
