Confessions

Love Shuffle

The two best friends sat side by side on the bench. The birds tweeted and flew over their heads. The air surrounding the two girls thickened and grew stiff. Jin Ae sat there staring off into space. Her thoughts roamed around and she tried to re-think of what had happened. What she had just told Hye Shi. Was she....slowly falling for that player that she used to troll around because he was a jerk-face to her?

Hye Shi on the other hand just, sat there. She didn’t say anything else because she wanted Jin Ae to recollect her thoughts and also feelings for the boy. Hye Shi twiddled her fingers together and placed a hand on the girl’s shoulder. Jin Ae looked over at the girl and opened up to say something but nothing came out.

“Jin Ae,” Hye Shi began while Jin Ae eye’s fluttered a bit. “From how you talked about Dong Jun made me assume that you liked him,” Hye Shi said while smiling lightly.

Jin Ae shook her head and sighed. “I’m confused about my feelings at the moment,” Jin Ae explained while looking down.

“We barely know things about each other yet...he makes me feel like this,” Jin Ae patted her heart and puffed up her cheeks.

“Without knowing things about each other can make your futures interesting. Learning new things about one another as the days pass by,” Hye Shi leaned back on the bench and giggled lightly. Jin Ae took note of what her older friend has said.

“He knows that I like Chang Hyun,” Jin Ae whispered out while covering her face with her hands.

Hye Shi rose an eyebrow and asked, “Ricky?” Jin Ae nodded without removing her hands. Hye Shi chuckled and yawned a bit. In the corner of Hye Shi’s eyes, she saw a familiar figure hiding. Hye Shi’s lip formed a smirk and then she got up from her seat.

Jin Ae looked over at the girl and saw that she stuffed her hands into her pockets. Jin Ae blinked a couple of times and waited. “I’m going to go...back to the shop. You sit here and think about you know whom,” Hye Shi smirked and walked off first. Jin Ae nodded and relaxed.

Hye Shi walked on over to the figure hiding behind the tree like a stalker. Hye Shi snuck up and stood beside the tree and saw that Dong Jun was staring at Jin Ae. Hye Shi remained silent while Dong Jun slowly took his eyes off of Jin Ae.

“Holy-!” Dong Jun called out but Hye Shi slapped her hand on his mouth. She motioned him to keep quiet.

“Shut up,” Dong Jun nodded and shushed himself. The two stood at the tree and stared at Jin Ae’s sitting figure.

“Kim Dong Jun,” Hye Shi began but got quiet as soon as Dong Jun cut her off.

“I don’t get her,” Dong Jun muttered. Hye Shi looked at him and raised an eyebrow. “No matter how much I try to get closer to her. I always end up messing things up. I want her to like me but...I always end up making myself seem like a bastard or...conceited douche bag around her,” Dong Jun sighed while bonking his head on the tree.

Hye Shi watched him and then looked back over at the girl. She chuckled at the two and then she leaned her back against the tree. “You two are...,” She murmured quietly to herself.

“Go talk to her,” Hye Shi instructed while shaking her head. Dong Jun stopped and looked over at her. “...go talk to her because she is confused as well,” Hye Shi nodded her way over to Jin Ae.

“But why?” Hye Shi looked at Dong Jun and gave him a death stare.

“Heh, here I thought you knew everything about girls,” Dong Jun scratched his head in confusion.

“Aish, Jin Ae and you are the only two girls I have ever met that I don’t understand at all!” Dong Jun said while pouting. He scoffed up his head and sighed deeply.

“If I’m making you confused and not able to understand me then that means I’m doing my job right,” Hye Shi said while laughing and leaving the boy there unable to understand her. Dong Jun looked at Jin Ae and then clicked his tongue in annoyance.

How am I going to talk to her without sounding like a fool...’ Dong Jun thought while pouting slightly. He toughen up and began thinking of ways to approach the young girl.

Dong Jun suddenly leaned up against the tree and tossed his bangs to the side. His eyes glistened and then he said, “Kim Jin Ae, why on earth did you run away from the iness?”

With that being said, he slapped himself silly and shook his head. ‘Too...conceited on my own iness,’

Dong Jun cleared his throat and tried again. He pulled his hair back in a sleek sort of way and slowly rubbed his finger under his lips, “Jin Ae-babe, why did you run away from me? Are you...scared of me?” Dong Jun asked while winking.

Dong Jun suddenly rethought back to what he just said and slapped himself. “I’m going to get my kicked all the way to the Pacific Ocean if I say that,”  Dong Jun muttered under his breath.

“Why is it so hard for me to say, ‘Kim Jin Ae, what is the matter with you? Can’t you see that I am working my off for you so you can like me the way I like you!’” Dong Jun stated while tugging on his hair. He bangs his head against the tree and whines in a childish way.

“You like me?” A voice from behind questioned. Dong Jun tensed up and slowly turned around to seeing Jin Ae standing there with a shocked yet embarrassing expression on her face.

Dong Jun gulped and was speechless. Jin Ae had heard everything that he just said. How embarrassing is that?! Dong Jun coughed a bit and knew there was no way out of this now. Jin Ae blinked and waited for him to answer her. There was an awkward tension floating around.

Jin Ae saw that he was embarrassed as well but she couldn’t help but question again, “Dong Jun...do you...like me?”

Dong Jun looked up at the girl and couldn’t help but blush as well. Seeing her act like this way unusual around him; before she would brutally abuse him in any way she could. He didn’t know why but he always found her more attractive than the other girls in school.

Jin Ae slowly took a step forward to him, facing him directly which they were only a few inches apart from each other. Dong Jun could feel his heart about to jump out at any moment. “I...I do like you...” Dong Jun whispered out for her to hear.

Jin Ae blinked and had to have a replay of what he just said, “So you...like me?” Dong Jun nodded again and said, “I, Kim Dong Jun, have fallen head over heels for you, Kim Jin Ae,” Dong Jun answered without stopping.

Jin Ae couldn’t help but formed a smile on her lips. She felt giddy and really happy that he said that. “Well, Kim Dong Jun,” Jin Ae began first while laughing a bit. “I think I like you too. Without any regrets about it,” Jin Ae answered with placing a hand on his cheek. Dong Jun’s eyes widen and thought he heard wrong.

“You like me?” Dong Jun pointed to himself and Jin Ae laughed. She got up on her tippy-toes and pressed her lips upon Dong Jun’s. She wrapped her arms around his neck and continued kissing him. Dong Jun’s eyes widen and then slowly closed automatically. He slithered his arms around the small girl’s waist. They stood there underneath the tree and kissed each other.
