I pushed myself up and stomped out of the fountain, ignoring Choi Minho’s hand. After all, I was taught to not interact with random, suspicious strangers. I glared at the staring children and parents, and hastily looked around for my dollar bill.

“Looking for this?” Choi Minho grinned and waved the 1,000 won bill in front of my face. His teasing expression irked me, but I could sense that he was a good-natured person.

Embarrassed, I snatched the 1,000 won bill from his hands. My clothes and hair were soaking wet, and my phone was now broken. Things could not get worse.

I stood by the fountain, squeezing my t-shirt, trying to get the water out. Water droplets fell one by one onto the cement sidewalk, creating a trail of dark stains. I shuddered when I remembered a man spitting into the fountain last week. No matter how hard I squeezed, my body still felt uncomfortable in my wet garments. After a minute or so, I gave up. I was about to walk home, until I heard Choi Minho’s voice.

“Hey! Jung Roo Ri! Hold up!”

Odd guy. I should....
