Ji eun POV

It's now been three years since the accident... I'm still blind, and sadly my dad still gambles. I guess he'll just never stop. In these three years, I don't ever remember anything happy. Even when it was my birthday, my dad was never home, and my mom was always doing house work... And me? All I did was lay in bed as tears were streaming down my face.

What hurt even more was me trying to hold in the tears. I don't think my dad even remembers when my birthday is. I knew that my mom always did her best for me. She didn't want me to be worried.

But now that I'm used to being blind whenever I need to step out the house, I can just leave. My mom felt bad that they didn't get to do anything for my birthday, so she said she'll take me out to eat.

"With dad?" I asked

"Uhh... Yep, with your dad too." She said

"I'm sorry, but I have to go somewhere." My dad patted my shoulder

"Where are you going that's more important than this?" My mom asked him with a hint of irritation in her voice

"None of your business." My dad told her

"None of my business?! I'm your wife!" My mom yelled

"That doesn't mean anything!" He yelled back

I shouldn't have asked... I didn't want to hear them argue anymore so I made my way to the door.

"Where are you going?" My mom asked

"A place where I won't have to listen to any of this crap you guys are saying." I told her, and left the house.

My life was like a living hell. I had no friends, because everyone in school seems to avoid me. I guess being blind means that you're weird... But the place I like the most to just sit and do nothing is the park, It was close by my house, just a few blocks away or less... I wanted a family that goes on picnics, even if we are poor. I wanted to enjoy what I had. But I had nothing...

I was strolling through the field until something hit my head.

"Owwww..." I rubbed my head

"I'm so sorry! Me and my friends were playing soccer. Are you ok?" A male voice asked

"I'm fine." I told him and started searching for my cane. I probably looked like a weirdo to this guy but why should I care about what he thinks about me anyways?

"Are you looking for this?" He asked and handed the cane

"Oh, yeah. Thank you." I said and slowly stood up

"Umm... Are you by any chance... Blind?" He asked hesitantly

"Yeah... I am." I said

"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to offend you or be rude or anything." He apologized in a somewhat panicked tone.

"No, it's fine." I chuckled

"Well, goodbye then." I said. I hope I am able to meet him again...

Jongin POV

She was pretty... I wonder if she'll be ok. I thought as I watched her leave. She should be fine right? I mean, she was able to make it here without any troubles. She should be fine right?

"Hey! Jongin, what's taking you so long?" My friends shouted

"Sorry! I'm coming!" I said and took the soccerball

"What took you so long?" Jongdae asked

"Nothing. Umm, I have to leave right now. So I'll see you guys tomorrow. Bye!" I said and ran off. I don't know why but I wanted to see that girl again, to see if she was gonna be ok.

Luckily I was able to catch up to her. I reached for her shoulder. I could tell she was suprised when I grabbed her shoulder.

"Sorry. It's just me." I reassured her

"Are you the guy from earlier?" She asked

"Yeah, oh by the way. My name is kim Jongin." I told her

"Kim Jongin... Nice to meet you. My name is Lee Ji eun." She said

"Uhh... Well I just came to see if you were ok." I told her, trying to make myself not sound like a stalker

"I'm fine. I've benn like this for three years. I'm used to it. But thanks for worrying about me." She said with a small smile

"You've... Been blind for... three years?" I asked, 

"Yeah... I'm used to it... So you don't have to worry or feel bad for me." She said

"Oh... Well I'll walk you home." I told her

"You don't have to feel bad or anything. I'll be fine." She quickly said

"No, please. I want to." I said

"Well... If you want to." She gave in

"Well, let's go!" I took hold of her hand

"Wait... Where do you live?" I asked her, forgetting that I don't even know where she lives

"I'll lead you." He said and walked ahead of me, still holding my hand. I blushed a little

"Now it feels like I'm the one walking you home." She chuckled

"That's right! Sorry... I said I'll take you home, but it seems like your doing all the leading." I sighed

"It's ok... At least your keeping me company." She said with a smile, I stood by her side walking with her pace. I can't believe she's been like this for three years. I feel like... I want to take care of her. I want to see her smile...

Ji eun POV

While holding his hand and walking with him felt nice. I had no idea what he looked like but... He seems nice. I stopped when we reached my house.

"This is your house?" He asked

"Yeah." I nodded

"Oh... Well, I guess I'll be going then." He said, I nodded

"Umm... Can you let go of my hand please?" He asked, and then I quickly pulled my hand back. Even if it was quiet, I could hear him let out a small laugh.

"S-Sorry!" I bowed

"I'm over here." He chuckled, I reached out one of my arms to feel where he was.

"Here." He said and took my hand and put it on his chest... I could feel his heartbeat. I blushed a little

"S-Sorry... I'll be going then." I said and pulled my hand back

"Come to the park tomorrow again." He said

"I-I will." I said and walked inside the house

Kim Jongin... I... I think I like him. It's weird because I've only just met him... But... I felt happy when I was with him for that short time. And he... Makes me smile...

Jongin POV

I walked home and was thinking about the girl from earlier. Ji eun... I hope I see her again.

"Oppa!" Soojung ran up to me and hugged me

"Oh, Soojung. What's up?" I asked with my arms raised in the air

"Oppa~! I told you to call me Krystal!" She whined

"I like your Korean name though." I said

"Really? You like my name?" She asked with her eyes sparkling

"I didn't say that." I said

"Then what Korean name do you like?" She asked

"Ji eun... Lee Ji eun." I said thinking about her from earlier

"Lee Ji eun? I'm sorry but I can't change my name oppa..." Krystal said in a sad expression

"You don't have to. You're name is nice." I patted her head

"Really?! But oppa, is Lee Ji eun a person or a name you just made up?" She asked

"It's a person, a girl." I told her

"A girl?!" She yelled

"Yep... A pretty one too." I clicked my tongue, and went inside my house. Krystal is my neighbor so she lives right next door.

Krystal POV

Lee Ji eun?! Who is that girl?! I can't have her steal my oppa! I'll make sure she never sees daylight again if she dares to take my Jongin oppa away! Jongin oppa is mine, and only mine. Nobody elses.

Lee Ji eun... You better watch your back...
