Prologue;

My name’s Park Siyoon. I’m a freshman college student and I’m twenty years old. I went through tough times after my parents’ divorce few months ago but I’m all good now. Recently, my dad told me he needs me to see these two people as they’re going to be important to me; and so I agreed to see them.

It turns out, the two persons whom I met later at night, are going to be my step-family. I was mad. I remember created a dramatic scene; I was crying and yelling at my dad. The woman stopped me from throwing dangerous objects to him such as fork, broken glass and etc. And the boy who was the woman’s son, standing across the room couldn’t help but to stare at me during the whole scene. The woman also apologize to me saying that she did not intend to like my dad at all but she couldn’t help it when she keep falling in love with him.

After a while, few weeks had passed, I’m all good again. The two peoples, whom I considered as outcasts are currently living in my house. I’d wish it would be temporary but my heart sank when I heard permanently. I had rules for them where they can’t simply touch some things in the house but dad scolded me for being immature and such.

Another week had passed, I finally learned the boy’s name. His name is Min Yoongi. He’s a year older than me and he’s a sophomore college student. His mother aka the woman introduced him to me and also told me some facts about him. I wasn’t really interested that I keep my eyes on my phone while she talks.

On a one typical Sunday, I woke up quite early and headed downstairs to the kitchen to grab a drink. I was drinking a glass of cold water when I suddenly heard music somewhere. It’s an upbeat music and I thought someone in my neighborhood was having a karaoke. I followed the sound of the music towards the stairs and went up. As I walk through the hallway, the sound was getting louder and clearer, I stopped when I approached in front of a room door. It was Yoongi’s room. I knocked on the door before entering, I took a peek inside the room and I saw him in his black sweater, producing some music on his computer.

He didn’t realize that I was there due to his loud music blasting through the speakers; I walk in as usual with heavy steps and close the door after me. I sat down on his bed, watching him playing with the electric keyboard. Until a few minutes, he stopped everything as he felt a weird presence in his room. He finally turned around and saw me in the eye.

“Ah! You scared me!” He raised his voice, placing one of his palms on his chest. Ha, scaredy cat. “Whoopsy, I didn’t mean to. I did knock on the door before entering but you can’t hear me so I enter anyway.” I answered. “But I didn’t say you can enter without my permission?” He declared. I rolled my house; ridiculous. Who’s the owner of this house? “But it’s my house anyway.” I snapped him back. He sighed, waving his both hands up as a sign of giving up that I owned this entire house. I smirked.

We got closer each time day by day, we rode the same car to college which his mom fetches us and we also play along with each other well. But I don’t really treat him as my older brother yet. It’s still weird that he’s going to be my step-brother in no time and I couldn’t accept the reality yet. He’s just like a friend to me.

After knowing him for quite some time, it turns out he’s a playboy. He flirts with every girl in the campus and hangs out with them in the middle of the night. I did not know what he had done to any of the girls he met in the middle of the night and I did not want to know. One thing is that his mom didn’t know that about him and same goes to my dad. They thought he was a good, innocent boy but oh lord, they have been tricked.

Yoongi and I had something of good and hate relationships between friends. We both knew each other’s secret and kept them within just ourselves. Sometimes he would threaten me with my secret if I don’t obey him and sometimes I would threaten him with his secret in return. From time to time, we fought a lot until the neighborhood can hear us yelling twenty-four seven and we both ended up apologizing to our neighbors.

Half of my brain has the urge to strangle him to death and wreck him apart and the other half of my brain tells me to calm down and be a good child. Ugh! If only his mother doesn’t have any son but a good daughter instead, I would thank the whole universe.

In my drawer, I kept a journal. A journal of ways to kill people and apparently it was towards Yoongi. Not in a violence way, I didn’t want to be murderer obviously. I wrote step by step and ways to keep him distance away from me. He would disturb me sometimes by banging the door of my room loudly and I was so pissed.

I’ve done several ways by following my journal but they’re pretty useless. Dammit Yoongi! He’s smart and knows what’s up. That one time, I try to wreck him with a cellophane tape attached from the stairs so when he walk down, he would trip over and fall on the ground but he missed it. He raised his leg on purpose while stepping down the stairs so his feet wouldn’t touch the tape.

I remember trying to teach him to step down the stairs properly that you shouldn’t raise your legs because they might be dangerous if you missed one step but eventually, my feet got tangled against the tape and I trip over the stairs and fall onto the ground. I screamed and cried so hard but he laughed at me.
