“You really didn’t have to do this, Kyu.”

I wave my hands and Ryeowook shakes his head, looking through the menu. As he reads, my eyes travel over him. Ryeowook is dressed in a maroon cashmere sweater and his hair is styled up and he’s in full make-up since he just ended Sukira recordings. I keep persuading myself that he looks extra good today only because of the fact that A-Pink were the guests for today’s recording. Not because I had asked him out.

It’s not awkward. I mean, Ryeowook and I go out together to eat alone all the time and even the fans know about this too. So, it really isn’t anything new that I called Ryeowook and asked him if he wanted to go out and have dinner together earlier just now. But… Why do I keep telling myself that Ryeowook is all dressed up and looking good for me? Pffft! I should just stop being so paranoid. As an apology for not having Ryeowook together with Kyu-line for dinner, I decided to treat him to an expensive restaurant and Ryeowook’s been feeling really guilty about it.

“So, what do you want to eat?” I ask.

“Hmmm….”

Ryeowook hums as his sparkling eyes scan the menu. Ryeowook always loves eating and times like this are when you get to see how he truly enjoys food. Ryeowook loves reading and picking out food from the menu and most of the times when we’re together, I just let him choose whatever he wants for me. I rather watch Ryeowook than read my menu. That’s how interesting Ryeowook is.

“This looks nice doesn’t it, Kyu?” Ryeowook asks, pointing at a picture on the menu.

I don’t look down at the menu, instead, my eyes are fixed on watching him. Ryeowook looks so damn good with his hairstyle and sweater, he really shouldn’t be walking around looking this good. What if fans decided that they had enough of his good looks and kidnap him just for themselves?

“Mmmm hmmm.” I hum, observing him. “Very nice.”

“Should we get this?”

Ryeowook finally looks up from the menu and his eyes meets mine and his cheeks turns red as he quickly looks back down to the menu. He tilts his head a little and looks at me innocently and shyly through his thick eyelashes.

“What do you think, Kyu?” Ryeowook asks softly.

“I’ll take anything you take, Wookie.”

As usual, Ryeowook never disappoints when it comes to choosing food. We catch up with one another and Ryeowook talks about his radio shows while I talk about my recordings for Radio Star. We talk about the latest album recordings, our members and actually about almost everything really and I realized that I have always enjoyed talking to Ryeowook. He understands me so well and he’s always listening and supporting me. He’s always on my side even when I’m in the wrong – actually, most of the members do because I’m the magnae- but with Ryeowook, it’s different. Ryeowook’s the magnae too so he doesn’t support and stays on my side because he wants to baby me. He stays by my side because he’s my best friend. It’s a totally different thing.

“Here is the white chocolate cheesecake with sour cherry sauce you ordered, sir.” A waiter suddenly interrupts us.
