The Ace of Spades
Chapter II
His hands loosed their bruising hold on her wrists and reached up to frame her face and he gently kissed away the tears from her cheeks, her eyes, . Those kisses were an apology, a promise, and she could feel her panic and fear begin to fade.
It was only a flash, and Sora open her eyes to the man who's dragging her back to the hell she escaped from.
Jungsu cursed himself for feeling it, that guilt again. He didn't have any friends in the true sense of the word, least the only one he had recently betrayed him.
Sora turned to him and her eyes were wide with uncertainty and a hint of fear. He knew he had to persuade what he was looking for if he wanted to keep his sanity. She was the only key to his answers.
She eyed the gun tucked behind his back. Looking up at him she asked in a tentative tone, "Have you ever killed men before?"
Jungsu forced the smile and the intimidation in his voice evidence. "If I told you , then I'll have to kill you, too."
Without success to mask the stark fear that stole across her feature, he laughed softly. But he really hadn't expected the second question.
"Are you really going to consider handing me over to those men without caring what happens to me?" She asked.
"Do you really want me to answer that question?" He took a hard left turn into the empty highway towards Nevada.
"Never mind," she mutters.
After a long moment, Sora struggled in her seat feeling the cold steel cuffs against her wrists and looked to Jungsu again as they stopped at a gas station.
"If... If you really are going to. If I can ask one thing of you. Kill me instead... Please." Her voice cracked.
He saw water form in her eyes and she turned as one tear escaped.

The night stretched into a lifetime. Her head still ached, but not as much as earlier. Sora felt tired and limp as if her bones had melted. She had hoped for passing of a new day, but more memories would surface.
Jungsu had remained distant and in his own little world. They had eaten in silence back at the station where he had took the cuffs off and they had seem to had bruised her wrists.
She watched the landscape go by and could recall memory of walking somewhere in those desert land after luck surviving the jump off the steep cliff and into
