"Kai."

Luhan breathed the boy's name effortlessly as his lover tenderly brushed the hair out of his face. Luhan melted into Kai's gentle touch just like he always did. There was just something about Kai that Luhan couldn't live without. Whether it be his warm, affectionate touches; his deep, intense stares; or just the way Kai was always there for him no matter what. 

"Mm?"

Kai leaned in and planted a soft kiss on Luhan's forehead. Yes, these were the times that Luhan cherished the most. The times when the two of them were together, snuggled up under the covers, hiding away from the rest of the world.

"...You promise you'll stay with me forever, right?"

Kai loved him. Luhan had no doubts about that. He could tell by the way Kai kissed him. By the way Kai was always there when he needed him. By the way Kai held him in his warm embrace whispering promises of forever. 

Kai made Luhan feel important. He made him feel loved. He made him feel like he was the only person in the world that mattered to him.

Kai. Kai. Kai.

What would his life even be like without Kai? Luhan couldn't imagine it.

And staring deep into those mysterious, dark brown eyes of his, Luhan could only dream that Kai feels the same.

Kai smiled in the darkness and held Luhan closer.

"I promise."
