Hi guys, Katakatica here :D So, a few days back I recieved a quite shocking request: it was the put DO on the poster as a girl. Not having seen any edits before, I decided to make my own. I have to admit that I did it without glasses so this version is far from perfect, but the technique may be of help to you in the future, although it is pretty simple.

Step one:

Search for renders/PNGs that match in: size, position, and coloring (they can be edited, but it's still easier that way.

What I worked with are: They can be found on deviantart :P but, if you want to practice cutting, then you can cut them out, too :D

STEP TWO:

Positioning your character(s)

Just put them so the girl's image overlaps the boy's you want to make 'girly'. Be careful of resizing their images.

STEP THREE:

ADD layer mask, and erase (with a soft brush, low opacity) most of the girl's face. This is going to take quite a bit of time. Try moving the pictures around if the result you get isn't perfect :p

BE CAREFUL:

- eyebrows MAY fit both pictures, so try experimenting with them

- ERASE everything that's not needed (eg. clothes, hair, hands etc.)

BE CREATIVE: 

- skin colors don't match? COLOR COLOR COLOR.

Ideas to deal with it:

- Simply add a black and white layer on top, adjust the brightness and curves.

- Use selective coloring on both until they match

- Use gradient maps, PSDs :D OR create your own coloring :D
